After hearing my dad go on for months about how much he missed these tacos he finally convinced me to drive out to try these out. I ordered 3 asada and 1 mulita de asada. The asada was very fresh and you could taste that it was marinated very well! The service was very fast even with a steady flow of guests throughout our time there! I ended up only eating the mulita since it was very big but eat the tacos for lunch the next day and they were still quite good! There are five options (chavindeca, sopes, tacos, burritos, and quesadilla) and seven different meats (pollo, asada, pastor, lengua, chorizo, cabeza, and chicharron) to choose from. You can sit on the only foldable table and few chairs to enjoy your food. *** Asada, pastor, lengua ($1.50 for each taco - single layer tortilla): Not sure whether it was asada or pastor, but one of them was REALLY flavorful. Lengua had some guacamole sauce and overall it tasted pretty solid. All meats are pretty juicy and I agree with few other Yelpers that their tortilla was quite amazing. Hey portion was pretty generous too! *** Overall these street tacos were some of better tacos I had in LA (sorry but I still think El Chato Taco Truck is LA's #1 taco truck in my book); however I have to give two thumbs up on their killer tortilla. This Truck "Was Good" at one point. The quality of the food has gone down, not sure cuz if it's due to the cost of the High meat prices or what but my Burrito was FULL of RICE and very little meat. Not too shabby. I've seen this taco truck around quite a bit and well into the night. The tortillas are handmade to order, so that's always a plus. The al pastor is a bit mushier than others, but not too much to the point where it's like chorizo, and it's still delicious. The tripa is really good too and has just the right amount of chewiness and crunch. The buche is okay but I've had better at other spots. The chicharron was probably my least favorite. It was still good, but I was hoping it would be the cocido en salsa style, and not the really crunchy type.
