Was craving some Al pastor tacos and saw this on TikTok. Decided to give it a try and it was pretty good. All the sauces and toppings were great! I wished the pineapple pieces were a little larger. Service was quick and efficient. They did have a few rags next to the dishes (as seen on my video) which was minus a star for me. I know it's street food and that's expected. Overall good tacos. Parking was fairly easy, I found street parking. Tacos were solid. Al pastor tacos, 7.8/10: Meat itself was spot on. Smoky, flavorful, wasn't overcooked. Paired super well with the piece of pineapple on top. The tortillas though were a bit soggy from all the juices, it didn't hold up well. Wish they let me customize the salsa, since the guy put a large scoop on. That being said, I did like how the tortilla soaked up the juices and marinade from the pork. Maybe it soaked it up a little too well. Salsa also was a bit watery. Asada Mulitas, 6/10: The melty oaxaca cheese they used was great with the asada. The asada itself was tasty and they did not skimp on the amount. Add some chili and salsa verde on top for a little kick. At other spots in the LA area, I've gotten mulitas that have been assembled and put back on the grill for a crispier tortilla. But this spot didn't do that, so I was missing on that texture experience. I have the same criticism about the soggy tortilla. Really brings down the score for me. Horchata, 8.5/10: I thought their horchata was superb. Tasted the rice, cinammon, and milk. It wasn't watered down at all. It was a great drink to offset the chilis and grilled onions. read more

My gf took me here when we first started dating and I've been back once or two more times since then. There are tons of taco stands to choose from in this area but this one stood out to us. We've had their al pastor tacos, asada tacos, and asada mulitas. Their asada is very good but their al pastor is spectacular. Their sauces are very good. I've tried several of their agua frescas and they have all been pretty good. Service has been great every single time we would go. Long line? Don't worry, it goes by fast. The best part is that they have their very own seating area a few feet away in a little lot filled with tables, chairs, and trash cans. They accept cash and card transactions which is a huge plus. Catering was a complete **** show. They showed up THREE hours late. People were served FOUR hours late (because of course they needed to set up and cook). The food? Meat? Mediocre. Beans? Flavorless. Did not have all the materials to do their job properly (had to give them propane for their grills). Food was extremely mid, I'm sure because it was rushed, and they still charged us an arm and a leg despite all the extra troubles. I consider myself a street taco connoisseur. I've eaten them everywhere from Mexico to Chicago. So I think I'm a pretty good judge on tacos/burritos. I saw this stand with a super long line when I was getting food from SoulMex. I thought it must be good with a line like that. So I went, got a asada/chile relleno burrito, and an asada taco. I appreciate the handmade tortillas, but everything else was just average. The meat didn't really have any flavor, and was bland without salsa. The salsa itself was also just average. Absolutely horrible experience. When I booked them for an event at my Fire Academy Family Night, I was excited because I always eat here after Dodger games. Unfortunately, it did not go well at all. I had scheduled them to start serving food at 5:30 p.m., but they did not arrive until 6:00 p.m. with only four staff members. Keep in mind, there were more than 300 people at the event. To make matters worse, they forgot their propane tanks. They had already put our schedule behind. Food didn't start being served until almost 7:30 p.m., and by that time, all of the students were preparing to begin their drills to show their families what they had been working on for the last 15 weeks. Families had to get out of line to watch the students perform their drills and then get back in line to get food. Half of the students and instructors didn't even get to eat because they took so long to arrive and set up. They completely ruined the event. This taco stand is one of our regular stops whenever we come down to the Citadel Outlets. One of the rules of the road is you look for the place that has the longest line which means they have the best food and this street taco stand is no exception to that rule - they always have a line to get their food. And they are a well oiled machine for a street taco stand with a flame spindle for their pastor and a full assembly line. I usually get the Asada or pastor burrito ($10) and it's always amazing. Next time you're near the Citadel Outlets this taco stand is well worth your wait to get some great food. read more

The good: I checked out this stand at El Gato street market and enjoyed my fresh and authentic Mexican food experience. This is the first LA street taco experience I've had (though I've been to one in Wilmington, if that counts). The cilantro and onions were fresh. I liked the chunky side cucumber accompaniment. It was $12 for 2 tacos al pastor and vampiro with carne asada. Vampiro is something I only recently discovered after moving to SoCal and I love it! It's like a crunchy tortilla with meat and cheese inside but the tortilla lays flat rather than folded like a crunchy taco. It was definitely one of the more enticing stands in the market because of their al pastor meat display. The bad: There was some confusion on the price. I heard 3 different prices before it was confirmed that I owed $12. The interesting: The night market runs Thursday and Friday 5pm-12am and also Saturday and Sunday 3pm-11:30pm. My windows were down since it was a warm summer night and I took one whiff of those chorizos and carne asada on their charcoal grill and that caused me to pull over. I'm glad I did. The smell was intoxicating. The smoke enveloped you like the aunt that doesn't want to let you go. I looked at the menu and it was the standard choice of meats- carne asada, al pastor, chorizo, and pollo. What stood out to me was the rib (costilla). The side asked me what we wanted and my son got 2 asada tacos with everything (guacamole, onions/cilantro, and red sauce). I ordered 1 asada and 1 chorizo taco each with everything. It did NOT disappoint! The meat was tender, juicy, and was not overpowered by everything on the taco. We also shared a large horchata which finished it off nicely! They have different items besides tacos in the menu. They also have quesadillas, mulitas, cemitas, memelas, tortas, burritos, and vampiros. To wash it down, they offer sodas, water, and agua frescas- horchata, fresh (strawberry), passion fruit, piña, and cucumber/lime. They take cash only, so be aware of that. This is another East LA Taco spot and only difference that caught my attention are the ribs. I've tried the Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos with guacamole salsa and was not too impressed with their tortilla texture and meats. I found the asada really chewy and the Al Pastor didn't have good flavor. We also tried the Memela asada and al pastor. It's just a giant taco IMO. I would pass on this. I also saw some questionable food handling. They brought out raw chicken and placed on the grill with their hands and then grabbed cooked asada from a pot with the same gloves to the chopping board and chopped up the asada. That's some major cross contamination. My review is based on just the ribs being good and everything else was below average. Now, the ribs in the other hand were fire. They weren't salty like other spots and amazing seasonings. We pulled the meat off the bones and made our own tacos. read more

Tacos are $3 each and barely have any meat. I picked up an order of 27 tacos for everyone at home that chose from Al pastor, asada, chorizo and tripa just to come find that we were missing 5 al pastor tacos- that is $15 of food we didn't get. It is very chaotic and unorganized. Be ready to get defensive when you want to get your condiments or you will literally be shoved out of the way. I do not recommend this place- not worth the hype. We got to Tacos a Cabron just after 4pm when they were open and it was already getting busy with the seating all taken - a great sign. They had their al pastor spit and plenty of ribs on the grill. The al pastor was delicious - good cook on their and great flavor. The ribs that they drop onto a tortilla were tender and moist (bone-in). You can see them hand-make every tortilla which certainly helps with the flavor and freshness.
