Fish and shrimp ceviche tostada was delicious. Highly recommend you try it!

Heber city, Utah is a nice growing town in the Wasatch Mountains. We are locals. It's becoming a bit more touristy in this area but still small town. Each of the items are fantastic come try them out authentic homemade, outstanding Mexican food and sauces!

Beef tamale - a tad dry
Dave G.

What's the difference between a 4 star and a 5 star tacqueria? Assume the basics are there: good meat, fresh toppings, strong portions. Hint- it's the salsas. And this place didn't quite deliver on the last star but we enjoyed it anyway. Enjoyed the carnitas tacos / great juicy meat and nice portions. The beef tamale was good if not a touch too dry. Fish tacos were equally tasty. Maybe the rice was a tad too generic. The salsa bar had great fixings. Absolutely liked the pickled onions, cabbage, limes, and radishes. But the salsas were uninspired and didn't live up to the potential of the meals. Not smoky or distinguishable but just ok.

Ordered the Cali birria burrito with ramen, Torta De Birria with consomé,, Horchatas, and 3 kids cheeseburgers. Everything was great except the cheeseburgers, kids wouldn't touch them as they were kinda burnt and didn't look very appetizing but I guess that's what I get for ordering cheeseburgers at a mexican restaurant...$35 just in cheeseburgers down the drain though. The horchata was super tasty!

Carne asada plate to-go which i had unpacked and already cut up the generous portion of tender delicious beef. This was just one serving.

4.8 Stars Total for: 1. Delicious tasting food 2. Satisfying servings 3. Friendly and responsive service. With the food to-go, wish something other than styrofoam was used for packaging, so it could easily be reheated in the microwave. Stopped in and ordered the #2 Carne Asada plate which came with marinaded tender beef cooked just right. Rice, beans, flour tortillas (corn is an option), cooked jalapeño and cooked onion, guacamole, lettuce, sour cream and chopped tomatoes (like a salsa). Wife had the #7 Carnitas plate and just as delicious. And two chicken street tacos with the marinaded chicken cooked yet still tender and juicy (not dried out). This food is about as authentic as you would get in SoCal. Restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating at this time of the year (Summer). Located in a shopping center (strip mall). Plenty of parking. Picture shown is after I had unpacked and had cut up the meat; only to depict how much food you get, which was a generous portion. Will definitely return! Recommended to friends and family.

Smothered Burrito

Food is fantastic, we got the rellenos and burrito al pastor both of which were absolutely delicious. The staff at the counter and in the restaurant were exceptionally nice and welcoming. Entire restaurant and bathroom are very clean.

Smother burrito with a grilled jalepeno!!! Straight fire

The food is always top notch!!!!! The birria is straight fire no matter if it's a taco or burrito. Love the ramen also. The staff are always friendly. The restaurant is always clean and has a salsa bar. Best spot in heber as far as I'm concerned.

Food just keeps getting better and better here! They now offer breakfast too! The service is consistently good and I like what they've done with the ambiance. Great restaurant and I'm glad they're here in the Heber Valley!

Food was delicious and one of the least expensive options we've seen in Heber! We got it to go and it was just what we wanted!

They were not; they were actually 50% or more higher at the restaurant. The hamburger that was showing on Yelp for $15 was actually $22. The Steak Frites advertised for $22 were $35. I understand inflation, but this was a gross enough difference that it borders on deception, in my opinion. I also had a bad experience with my food: I ordered a cup of their chili (which they claim is made from scratch, on-site) and it was brought to the table cold. Like, "right out of a can" cold. Kelsi, our fantastic server, returned it to the kitchen where (I presume) they nuked it and brought it back. It was heated, but not very tasty. Flat; under-seasoned; mushy textured. Definitely something I'd never order again. Many reviews say the atmosphere is "loud" but what they mean is, it's "LOUD". We were seated inside, and it was nearly impossible for the three of us to converse. The acoustics are not great. Enough cons; how about some pros? My burger was FANTASTIC! piled high with caramelized onions and pastrami, but beef patty tasted like it'd just come off a charcoal grill. Terrific flavor in every bite. (The parmesan fries were tasty, too, but a little on the soggy side.) My dining partners each had a salad (one 'wedge' and one 'beetroot') and both were well-prepared and generously portioned. And, finally, the staff, the location, the vibe: All really first-rate. I'll probably come back, if I ever recover from the bait'n'switch sticker shock. (But I'll steer clear of the chili and opt to dine on the patio, if that's available!)

Their breakfast and coffee paninis, along with the burritos, are simply outstanding--distinctive, thoughtfully crafted, and far better than anything you'd expect to find tucked inside a hardware store. As a vegetarian, I'm continually impressed. The menu never lets me down; the choices are abundant, creative, and consistently delicious. I find myself inventing excuses to stop by for both breakfast and lunch because it's just that good. The staff adds to the charm--warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. And yes, the location inside the hardware store is a little unconventional, but that quirk only adds to its character. It's absolutely worth the small detour. Locally owned, locally loved, and unmistakably unique--Meg's is a gem I return to again and again.

We managed to grab the table so we got lucky. When our food came out pretty quickly we dug right in. The fries were delicious and a little crispy. Just the way we like them. I loved my Reuben. It had great flavor and I was happy with it. The others loved their sandwiches as well. They said they weren't obsessed, but they thought they were really good. Overall it was a fun experience and we'd probably stop in again.

At the same time, they do the "common" stuff really well like kids' food. Great experience through and through. Walking in, you immediately know it's a well-run establishment, there's people moving quickly everywhere and they even have a few to-go areas with coffee stations that seems to be busy. We went during the World Cup and they also had a projector playing one of the games for a cool vibe. They had an amazing menu of commonly found entrees, but with like an elevated twist. I have always wanted to try shakshuka so I was excited to see it on the menu. My husband ordered an omelet. The food is excellent but I would have changed out the bread for something you can dip out the shakshuka with and I would include lemons with the hot tea. My husband didnt like the potatoes. Service was e collect and the price was good for a resort community. Highly recommend.
