I found this food truck from Doordash because they are advertising their regular burritos 2 for under $12. I got the carnitas with salsa verde & they were absolutely divine. The pork is cooked just right & slightly crispy. The rice & bean ratio to everything else was perfect. They really load up the burritos nicely with meat. Then, the outer torilla is toasted to perfection. Perfect brown coloring. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. I took it back to the place I was staying at to enjoy. 10/10 would recommend this unassuming food truck to anyone. read more

My main gripe is the pricing. I understand inflation and having to cover costs while still making a profit, so I won't be too harsh on that. I do have to say I am not a fan of rice in burritos (Mission style buritos are an immediate no-go for me) and they make several of theirs in this local style. Not being from here I guess this is something I'm just going to have to get over since so many here are willing to die on that hill, ha ha. I stopped by Tacos el Jerry truck next to the barbershop and laundromat, which I assume are businesses that also belong to the lady that started these trucks. A "buenos dias", or hello or "how may help you", anything resembling customer service could have started this experience off to a better start. Maybe I looked like a vagrant to them or something was off-putting about me to them? Maybe it was late in the day, or maybe it was just a bad time? The customer service aspect was not all there and borderline rude during my visit. I won't hold it against them too much. Surely, it was a fluke. Knowing full well I was not going to like their mission style burritos I bypassed those and ordered what seemed to be staples they would excel at. Tacos - Al pastor, Birria, Tripa and Asada. The corn tortillas were made to order ( at least from what I saw) and tasted freshly made, so that alone was a huge hit for me. Al Pastor -( Okay I guess) very few, and I mean VERY few places in the area can do a true al-pastor and sadly, Tacos el Jerry is not one of them either, BUT their seasoning of their "al pastor" is decent; The quality of the meat chunks/ grizzle and fat leaves a bit to be desired. ( again, maybe I was just hitting a streak of not the best experience) Birria - QuesaBirria to be exact. I find that anything birria in this area is very hit or miss and Tacos el Jerry was on the better side of this trend. They didn't offer me or seemed to have consomé for it but it was still tasty. Nothing one couldn't fix with some salsa. Asada - probably the best seasoned of all the tacos I ordered. very good, tasty and I think this will be my go-to order from them from now on. Tripas - Kind of hard to mess this up so this was going to be my safe order. They were very nice crispy and full of flavor. I'd be curious to order a burrito sans rice with tripa. I bet that would taste amazing. Overall. I can definitely see why this place gets so much hype. I could have been blind to it but I didn't see any prices posted. I already had a general idea of what I was going to pay for what I ordered. My total was more than anticipated but it is what it is. They do have prices listed online and at the time of my visit, those online prices did no match what I purchased. I think it was just a matter of a recent price increase and they didn't have time to update accordingly. The food was very tasty, a little on the expensive side for my liking, but considering they have virtually no true competition in the area for now, they can get away with that. Parking is great and plentiful. They open on sundays until 11pm, beating out all local taquerias on a Sunday that closes at 7pm. They do not have prices on their menu so everything is a guessing game, which led to problems for us (mentioned below). I ordered two tacos, one super quesadilla and one Jamaica drink. My total came out to be $23. My friend ordered the same exact thing, and his total came out to be $26. Keep in mind, We paid with cash. Same meat, same options, no different. No receipts are given. Matter of fact, he said "can I get the exact same order as he did". No outdoor seating. Super Quesadilla was plain meat and just melted regular white cheese (possibly mozzarella due to consistency). The veggies were left outside. I was given two pieces of cherry tomatoes... literally just it. Not sure how super that is. Tacos were decent, not the best I've had but al pastor was a bit dry. Jamaica, tasted like anywhere else. Filled to the rim with ice when we asked for no ice as it was 60 degrees outside on a gloomy night. The tacos are made with handmade tortillas and the birria meat is delicious. There have asada, al pastor, lengua, tripa and birria meat. Food trucks - you take your stomach into your hands every time you consider one. This one was a winning chance. We were camping at the Santa Cruz County fairgrounds and needed to make a trip into town to do some laundry. With a hungry burning in our stomach, we loaded up the clothes and started looking for something to eat in the immediate area. Tacos El Jerry was parked in the lot right out front, and it looked too good to pass up. It ended up being excellent. My wife and I shared some quesabirria tacos, and it was some of the best birria I've had. Their jamica was excellent, and the salsas were superb. I went back the next day for more.
