    Some tacos

We decided to get an oil change up at HDR auto services and came here to eat and pass time. It was a short stroll away and we liked how festive this place is right from the beginning. It seemed quite authentic. They have breakfast lunch and dinner!! Breakfast ends at 11... so we got a few tacos and an asada plate - which was quite generous for 14.50 and their beans were soooo good!!! Loved the asada - not chewy and flavorful- rips easily for me to make my own little tacos with the 5 tortillas that came with it. I also liked that the music and decor were all Mexican inspired so it felt authentic. I personally liked the flavors and felt really full leaving, so I don't have any recommendations for improvement. It's an ordering counter so it's not really table service but it's really easy to get up and ask for what you'd want at the counter. It's not a huge place but it's well kept and run - bathroom is clean and has a large sign so you can't miss it! Would come back and the guys at the HDR auto shop also recommended this place (and we chuckled and said that's exactly where we went!). Perfect timing too since after this early dinner, we walked back and our cars were ready!

Okay, so I came from the food truck and that food truck is what made me love this brand. The birria tacos are one of the best in the area. As for the other choices, not so much. So why the higher review for the place? The birria tacos are still great and they have a place to eat it fresh without being outside. The food trucks downside was always that we had to take it home and it is already cold. Here, we finally got to try it as it was intended, which we both agreed that it was better. It is further away from home, but the popularity and the weather always kind of deterred us away from the food truck sometimes. The location is small. Parking is very limited. But it is quite peaceful as there is really nothing else around. As for the Torta, this was much bigger than the food truck to me. I think it is because they did not need to shove and squish it to fit in the take out box, but I never felt this full after their Torta before. I think if you're hungry, the birria nachos is a good deal of food for the price. But a couple of things I would change is that they melt the cheese on top and that they provide consommé. By the time you get to the middle and end of the nachos, the beef becomes a bit dry and the cheese hasn't fully melted in some areas. So far Tacos El Pariente has been our go to spot for Birria tacos in the area and they continue to be our go to spot. We do have other favorites, but they are out really far away like in other state and countries. So, I say this is the best as it gets.

    Birria Nachos

I saw a review of this place on line and added it to my list of places to try. We've now been 3 times in the past 4 weeks. Their signature Birria is absolutely delicious. We've had the tacos, the nachos (huge portion) and the ramen and loved every bite. This location is their brick and mortar but they also have food trucks at other locations.

Carne asada and al pastor tacos!

Clean little hidden spot. Carne asada, chorizo and salsa were very good. Liked that they had Mexican coke.

Good tacos and good service. The place is in an industrial park, but it is nice. Try the birria tacos, they are very good!

Love the salsa bar -- the salsas taste fresh and there's something for everyone. If you aren't vegetarian the chicken is tasty and the chicken burrito is a safe, decent choice. Overall Negatives: This is not a great place if you are vegetarian. I know they have veg items but they don't get the same attention to flavor and quality that the non-vegetarian items get. That's why my husband rated his chicken burrito higher than I rated my veggie tacos. We had more misses than hits here. Chicken burrito: minimal beans, lots of rice and pulled chicken that both had great flavor. A marginal hit, just really needed some texture because a tortilla filled with just chicken isn't a great burrito. Its's a "just fine" burrito. Veggie tacos: barely any beans or rice. Mostly big chucks of avocado (weird to not dice it) and sliced tomato and onion (again weird -- just dice it). All topped with a dairy bomb of sour cream and queso fresco that caused the whole taco to lose its structural Integrity. Desperately needed lots of salsa for flavor because nothing else had any. The thing is, you can make rice flavorful. You can make beans with flair and fun and taste. They just don't here. Disappointing miss. Nachos: good chips, good cheesy sauce. Barely any beans again and the big slices of avocado, onion, and tomato (about the size you see on a burger) made it difficult to eat anything but the chips and cheese sauce. Not "nachos" and definitely not a hit for us. Unfortunately this just wasn't for us. It's great to have stuff on your menu that accommodates different types of diners but it's important to actually show the "other" food equal attention to quality and flavor.

The space was small with high top seating (bar like) and 3 small tables in the middle. There are fresh condiments, pepper sauces, pica de Gallo, ect. My favorites were the beef taco and fish taco. The quesadilla was tasty as well. The establishment was very clean and well ran.

There was a little wait for the food but that's fine because everything was made fresh to order. The food came out hot and delicious. For two, we had a few tacos, Bamba fries, a beer, and a mango piña colada (mocktail). Not food related but also important: the bathroom was clean!

This tastes like Chinese sweet and sour sauce. There was no mention of this sweet and sour sauce being in it on the menu. This is honestly one of if not the worst quesadilla I've ever had. I would rather have one from TacoBell. Some of the food I got was ok. I did like the "Lengua Taco" But the "bamba brisket Mac and queso quesadilla" was horrible, and it was the main thing I was getting. I would not have gotten it if the menu made any mention of this sweet sauce inside. The restaurant in person it ok as far as ambiance, nice outdoor seating, and music.

I've been coming here for years, and it's one of those places that never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and you always know you're going to leave happy. I'm originally from Honduras, and one of our staple dishes... arguably THE staple dish... is the baleada. A fresh flour tortilla filled with refried beans, cheese, and crema, with the option to add extras like eggs, avocado, or different meats. I knew this had to be where Kyler experienced his very first baleada. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Kyler isn't the most adventurous eater, so getting his stamp of approval is a pretty big deal. He's officially a fan for life! We were there with my mom, and all three of us ordered some variation of a baleada along with pupusas to share. I also had to introduce Kyler to our version of horchata, which is different from the Mexican horchata he was used to. As an added bonus, we happened to visit during the World Cup, and the energy in the restaurant made the experience even more fun. Between the familiar flavors, sharing a piece of my culture with someone I love, and the consistently great food, this meal ended up being one of the highlights of our trip back to Maryland. If you've never had a baleada before, let La Casita be your introduction. You won't regret it.
