They accept credit cards but there is a fee for using it. $2.50 per taco is a steal nowadays. I can't remember how much the Quesadilla was. Carne asada fries were $10. It's not as big as other places but it can still feed 2 people at least.

The Birria taco was divine! Well seasoned meat and had excellent flavors even though it didn't come to consumé. They top it with a good piece of pineapple too, which balances everything out. The condiments were fresh, and you can load up however you like. At around $3 a taco, I was full after four and honestly felt like it was worth it. Simple, busy, and straight to the point. Out in the street, the place opens up with a casual but flaming setup. Definitely a solid late night stop and you can't miss it if you're just driving up San Gabriel Blvd heading home.

I got the Chilaquiles but if I were to ever go back (which more than likely will not be happening) I would order the burrito again. But just go there and see what $5 will get you with the fish tacos, this has to be the best deal in today's food world that I have found and I work all over the San Gabriel Valley and eat at dozens of places. I showed her my Yelp review she apologized for the mistake and she will make my order again 2 Hard Beef Tacos with Guacamole and I added an order of those delicious large fried yellow chili peppers. To my surprise this was complimentary. I thank Pepe's owner and the manager for their great customer service.

They had a few salsas to try. They used those tiny salsa containers, which everyone knows. Restaurants use them to prevent over-indulgence, but it takes a while to get enough salsa because they're so small. I understand it's a cost-saving measure. They were also serving Churros ($3), and I got two. They were okay, a bit doughy in the middle, making me think they were undercooked. The guys working the booth were super friendly and attentive.
