They just opened up three weeks ago. There's a daily special Monday-Thursday featuring tacos at $1.99. We tried the fish tacos and one taco de papa. They were so fresh and generous with the portions. I was left wanting MORE. Simple menu with two salsas, i liked the red best as the green wasn't spicy enough for me. The place is small and super clean. All were welcoming and friendly and every one on the restaurant seemed to be enjoying their food. I look forward to trying their shrimp tacos next. We parked right in front.

On a Thursday morning in August, I came here for their lunch special - burrito with soda can $8.25. It's next to Vittoria pizza and chevron gas. The staff are nice and friendly and inside is very clean. I ordered carne asada burrito with no beans. As I was waiting the ambulance workers ordered their lunch here too so it must taste good. There are plenty of tables to sit and 2 free sauces available -red and green. The Asada burrito tastes good with bite size pieces of Asada, Spanish rice and pico del gallo. I also ordered al pastor taco which has lots of filling. Next time I will try their other items.

Shrimp tacos I took picture after already eaten one of them.

I'm very happy this mom and pop with son place opened up a few blocks away from me. Got their Tuesday special Shrimp tacos and they were on point. Everything was fresh and they have a self serve salsa bar. Looking forward to trying their fish tacos and other items from their menu. I was told this is their second location and first location has been around for over a decade so they know what they are doing. Everyone was friendly and it was nice to have AC. Definitely recommend this place. Also they have daily specials!

All I can say is wow! The camarón enchilado taco is amazing. The Baja fish taco is second to none. Brand new spot with great AC ( currently 100 degrees) amazing food and welcoming staff. Family owned with great salsa! The red is pretty spicy. So good I had to call my Dad to come get a plate. Definitely will be a regular here!

The best shrimp tacos in Alhambra!! Come visit the second location it's on Valley and Fremont.

The food was fresh, but some of my crinkle cut fries were not crispy. They have a drive thru and they have Door Dash pick-ups area. The dining area was a bit dirty. The drinks area was also a little dirty/sticky. Rating: 4 stars for the food.

With that said, there are always room for improvement but tonight, I'm giving a 5 star rating specifically because the Food was perfectly prepared, and one employee in particular impressed me. When we arrived around 10pm Friday night, half the restaurant was full. The available tables were slightly dirty, so looks like staff hadn't gotten to cleaning the tables yet. Seats were a bit greasy but tolerable. This is the area of improvement I would love to see. If employees are not readily available to clean the tables, just leave the wipes around so we can wipe down the tables ourselves. I'd be totally fine cleaning my table myself. While we were eating, I got the opportunity to observe several employees in action. One employee stood out. While most employees just speedily wipe down the tables and sweep the debris onto the floors. Edgar not only cleaned the tops of the tables, but also the back rests and seats, and even the tops of the trashcans!!! That level of attention to detail I greatly appreciated. I thought he was the shift manager given how much he was doing!! Not only that, he was the only employee I heard acknowledging and greeting guests. Edgar deserves all the praise! I come here maybe 2-3x a month, Food here has really been on point!! Fresh HOT crispy and juicy chicken tenders! My favorite Cane's location hands down!

My dad gave the latter half of his life to living in the Philippines when he was sent over to build Skyway Phase 1--- Manila's main highway . Remember back in the mid 90s, visiting him in Makati from Taiwan, that was the first time I was introduced to Jollibee at the 2nd Floor of one of the Robinsons Mall. And I remembered my dad tell me, here in the Philippines Jollibee is the King, McDonalds never even comes close to the traffic...... And that's when I realized Filippinos love their Fried Chicken. But in my mind back then the king of Fried Chicken was Al Baik in Saudi Arabia. Having grown up by the Red Sea, Al Baik will forever be my top choice for Fried Chicken and I think many Filipino Ex-Pats whom worked in the Arabian peninsula would agree. Anyways, back to Jollibee. I was surprised after moving to the United States, they had a Jollibee. 'cept to be honest 30 years back it didnt taste anywhere close to the quality now. The menu no longer has its iconic YumBurger and they've opted for the more obnoxious Angus burgers...which doesn't do much really, you have Giants like Habit Burger and In-N-Out taking the burger crown. Wished CoVID never happened. We had so many projects lined up in the Philippines circa 2019-- Subic Bay LNG Ocean Transport, potential takeover of the Okada Resort Casino Manila, potentially bringing over of Kaoshiung Taiwan's refinery capacity.......China wouldn't have shut down, Philippines flights wouldn't have shut down. We'd have 5 Billion USD in capital funded through Hong Kong, we would have closed a deal with Jolibee's owners to run an independent franchise outside the control of corporate. We would have gotten all the Huawei contracts and installed Chinese 5G across the Philippines islands. Ya...COVID changed the trajectory of everything. I was there in Manila 2019, watching the high economic growth momentum in Bonafacio Global City and we wanted a piece of that action. Funny how one meal makes you flash back to all the what ifs. Last thoughts here, I will give Jollibee mad props for the Guava Freeze. At first I thought it was going to be sugar overdose, but then it was actually pretty good. On the level of a smoothie you'd get at Jamba Juice but less sweeter.

The chicken was crispy, juicy, and the spicy pieces had just the right amount of heat. For dessert, we tried the Peach Mango Pie, which reminded me of the old McDonald's deep-fried apple pie with its crispy, flaky crust and warm, fruity filling. It was definitely a nostalgic treat. Service was a bit slow due to the lunch rush, but the staff remained friendly. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, especially if you're craving crispy fried chicken and that classic-style fried pie.
