Love coming to Lunas! Tonight was nice and quiet! Perfect for after work date with my husband. Food and service always the best! You gotta try it! Unique hidden gem in San Gabriel!

Nice cozy spot. My husband and i always pass by since we live in Alhambra and we finally decided to go inside for a few cocktails. It was definitely a chill vibe and my kind of atmosphere. We will definitely be back for a chill date night. The owner was so nice and friendly. I'm surprised this place isn't more packed!!

Hands down, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Alhambra and San Gabriel. When you eat here, expect to pay for quality, it's worth every penny. I've been coming here for over 15 years and have had the pleasure of meeting both owners. The staff is always friendly, and the food never disappoints. The owner, Tom, makes the best Cadillac Margaritas. If you can handle spicy, order the Lomo with ranchera, the sauce is fire and totally addictive. The shrimp enchiladas are also incredible. You can really tell how much love they put into their food and decor. Presentation matters here, and it shows. Even their restroom is one of the fanciest I've ever seen (no joke!). They play great Latin music, Salsa, Bad Bunny, Cumbias, Boleros, and sometimes you'll even catch live Mariachis. There's also a big screen TV if you don't want to miss a game or boxing match. The restaurant sits in a historic part of San Gabriel near the Mission, where you'll often see families celebrating Quinceañeras and taking photos across the street. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in Mexico. If you live in Pasadena, San Marino, or Alhambra, you have to come here to experience truly authentic Mexican food.

Been here a few times now and it's one of my wife's and my go to Mexican spots now. We've tried a few dishes. Wife usually gets enchiladas and tacos. I've got their enchiladas and also tried their whole fish. Everything we've had, has been great. Chef is cooking up well prepared and very tasty dishes! The mixed drinks are really nice too! And the service is top notch! If you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Give them a try!

Got here just before the Farmer's Market ended. The waiter let us know we'd have to wait 5 minutes for him to take our order. It seemed a long time for the food after we ordered, that's when I realized they don't provide chips & salsa. I don't think there was any option on the menu either. My tilapia was excellent. The dish came with a side of tortillas, I chose corn, and I think they were handmade. I wanted to order more but the waiter never asked us how everything was. My spouse said his meal was just ok. I was a little disappointed, I'd hoped my husband would have liked his meal more, and I wasn't a fan of the service Not sure if we'll return.

It's been a while since I've been to Luna's and this was the first time trying it under the new ownership. My hubby and I used to always order the pork chili verde burrito, but during our recent visit, it wasn't great. It lacked flavor and just overall underwhelming. The combination plate we ordered had a beef taco and chicken taquitos. The taquitos were over fried and the chicken was like hard jerky. We couldn't even finish it. We ordered our food to-go, but I guess they no longer offer free chips and salsa with your order. Thank goodness we had some salsa at home! Overall, we were pretty disappointed.

Food is always delicious. Service is on point, very attentive even during a busy rush. The ambiance is super chill. Our go to stop usually every week when we get the chance since we live up the street. Favorites have to be Breakfast : chilaquiles con huevo Appetizer : sopitos, asada fries and a new item on menu taquitos de la casa (chorizo con papa) Dinner: combination plate, has different items to choose from like enchiladas, tacos, taquitos served with rice and beans. Soups : pozole, albondigas, caldo de pollo There's many more options to choose from like seafood and vegon options too. Always hits the spot so come hungry because you will lick the plate clean Meeting up with friends we sit at a booth by window. Or at the bar on date night. Drinks are amazing and look beautiful, crafted with house made syrups and fresh fruit. Open bar and beer on tap and bottles. Nice selection of alcohol, wine and also mimosas. The owners are welcoming and beautiful people. Highly recommend to family and friends and neighbors.

It's just off one of the Main Street. I haven't spent anytime in this city so everything was all new to me. We found street parking right out front but did noticed when we got inside that they had a parking lot out back. The place isn't that big. A dive bar of sort but was quite nice. One side is the bar and counter while the other side host three pool tables. There's also a couple of hi top table in the middle. They did offer happy hour everyday from 4-8 pm with free pool. And free pool Tuesday Thursday and Sunday all day. Drinks specials offered as well. We only popped in for a drink which was glad to know that happy hour was happening. The bartender behind was sweet. It wasn't that busy when we walked in. Bartender and a couple people utilizing the pool table. It was pretty chill but I'm sure it can get busy later on in the evening. Drinks specials offered were quite nice for the price. We also tried their spicy margaritas which was great. Bartender knows his skills. Also, a quick round of pool. The vibe was mellow and chill. Don't know if the music changes often but it was somewhat metal that was going on when we walked in. Crowd was great as they were all there for the same reason. Drinks and pool. Overall, it was a cool place for a pint and pool. Somewhere people meet up for drinks.

The cucumber lycheetini and the peach mojito were super refreshing and delicious. Both were super strong but you couldn't taste the alcohol in it which made it super dangerous. My partner enjoyed the New England IPA and said it was good! Service was excellent. The bartenders there were all kind and friendly. There is plenty of seating inside the food hall and the bar section is a dedicated 21+ section so there is some dedicated bar seating. They have last call at 9:30 since they close at 10 pm on Fridays so we made sure to get our last orders in. There is plenty of parking on the side and behind the food hall and on the street.
