Tacos Locos menu. Where to begin!
    Josh W.

If you haven't guessed yet, I have a fondness for tacos. Seems my lady and I are having tacos at least once a week. So, naturally, we like trying different taco spots (though we have a couple favorite go-tos, especially El Taco Bus). Tacos Locos had been on our radar for a while, we just hadn't gone together yet. My lady had tacos from there before though and said it was good, so after a while of thinking about it, we finally had some together. I was impressed for sure. Their menu was much bigger than I expected, loaded with different options for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, even breakfast options. My lady ordered a chicken taco and a chorizo quesadilla. I went with three tacos; one steak, one al pastor, and one shrimp. My tacos were really good, though the al pastor seemed to lack pineapple, and the steak was just a little dry. My lady really liked hers, especially the chorizo quesadilla, which I thought were excellent too. The salsa verde we got with it all definitely had a spicy kick! Which was good because we love spicy! Great taco spot for sure and one that's been in the Pleasant Ridge area for quite some time. I'll likely try one of their burritos next time. Wonder which one though... Decisions, decisions, eh? But no matter what you choose, chances are it'll be very tasty!

We were so excited to find tGis taco truck open when another favorite of ours was closed! There was no line- we were helped immediately. The gal behind the counter was polite, kind, and helpful. The "hot salsa" is a salsa verde- and the mild is a Smokey red pepper salsa. (And definitely still has a kick to it!) We tried 3 tacos- chicken, asada, and al pastor. Al pastor had the most flavor- but my favorite was the asada. Taco truck was clean- and our food was ready in 5 minutes! We'll definitely be back!

I've passed this street vendor many times (for a year) and always wanted to go. I read the yelp reviews and trust their honest opinions. Plus it was Cinco De Mayo weekend and I wanted to try authentic mexican fast food. Tacos Locos is located next to a rusty convenient store on Montgomery Road near Pleasant Ridge probably less than half a mile from Quatman's Cafe. Pulled up and already smell the grill. I can already tell I was going to like my meal. I ordered the Chicken Tacos which has onion, cilantro, cucumber slices and a slice a lime on serving size (small) tortilla for $2.00. And last, cheese quesadillas with has cheese, onions, cilantro and slice of lime for $5.00. As for my sauce, I chose hot. I wanted a little bite/kick to my meal. Only took 10 minutes. Service was great and employee was very nice and helpful. When I got home, I can smell the fresh cilantro. Simple meals made fresh and delicious! I thought the chicken wouldn't have any taste. I tried it without the sauce first to get a good taste and flavor of the chicken. It was seasoned just right. The quesadillas was perfect, not so big but enough cheese to fill me up. Overall, I would have to say for fast food, it was delicious! You cannot beat the price. I think the quesadillas could be alittle cheaper, but I know I would come back and purchase it again because it was so good! Definately coming back. They also sell salads, burritos, and their famous Tortas. That is next on my list to try. There are vegetarian options. There are no tables and they only accept cash.

This place was small and unassuming, but was very tasty. I tried one of each Taco: Beef, Chicken, and Pork. I'd have to say the beef was my favorite, but all were very tasty. The tortas are giant, round sandwiches which also look very tasty. I'm planning on trying those next. Tasty, Inexpensive, Authentic, Friendly!

    Special: Quesa Tacos de Birria

This is my second time coming here... and the food is still amazing. Everything is made to order and hot when you get the food. I ordered the special of quesa tacos de birria and it was amazing. The serving size was large (I couldn't finish it) qnd well worth the 11 dollars. The time before I believe I ordered a shrimp Quesadilla and that was delightful as well.

My only complaint is sometimes it's not there or closed. But it's a truck so I understand! The shrimp tacos are amazing.

It was so substantial that I only made it through half. I enjoyed it with chorizo, but for a modest surcharge, they will make it with brisket! The Al Pastor Hash was the standout. It was beautifully balanced, full of bold, authentic flavors, and expertly prepared. One of my brunch-mates spends much of the year traveling through Latin America, and he was genuinely impressed. Excellent food, generous portions, and a memorable brunch experience. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu! Attentive service and a beautiful location in Downtown Cincinnati's quiet Pendleton neighborhood made the morning perfect.

I didn't think I'd find something that could compete with Bakersfield but this does. It has unique flare without being over the top like some places can. Like pairing pickled veggies with my shrimp? Yes please! Ceviche was a little on the smaller side. Its flavor was there but price to size wasn't worth it to me. Recommend the grilled esquites as a side. I can't NOT get the charro beans because they were addicting. I could live on them in the winter. Tacos were so ed how you'd expect with homemade corn tortillas. Delicious, but I'd say Bakersfield pulls ahead just a touch with the tacos. Camerones Saadi's was delicious! I'd get it again, but still want to try some of their other mains. I did try dessert. Mind you I'm not huge on tres leches as it is so it might not be surprising that it wasn't my favorite. It was a tad on the drier side and textured (this was coconut tres leches so probably where the texture came from). I'd skip dessert the next go round maybe, unless they had some other fun seasonal things to try. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails as well! Especially the mezcal-based ones.

There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.
