Tacos Locos menu. Where to begin!
Josh W.

If you haven't guessed yet, I have a fondness for tacos. Seems my lady and I are having tacos at least once a week. So, naturally, we like trying different taco spots (though we have a couple favorite go-tos, especially El Taco Bus). Tacos Locos had been on our radar for a while, we just hadn't gone together yet. My lady had tacos from there before though and said it was good, so after a while of thinking about it, we finally had some together. I was impressed for sure. Their menu was much bigger than I expected, loaded with different options for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, even breakfast options. My lady ordered a chicken taco and a chorizo quesadilla. I went with three tacos; one steak, one al pastor, and one shrimp. My tacos were really good, though the al pastor seemed to lack pineapple, and the steak was just a little dry. My lady really liked hers, especially the chorizo quesadilla, which I thought were excellent too. The salsa verde we got with it all definitely had a spicy kick! Which was good because we love spicy! Great taco spot for sure and one that's been in the Pleasant Ridge area for quite some time. I'll likely try one of their burritos next time. Wonder which one though... Decisions, decisions, eh? But no matter what you choose, chances are it'll be very tasty!

Al pastor, asada, and chicken taco

We were so excited to find tGis taco truck open when another favorite of ours was closed! There was no line- we were helped immediately. The gal behind the counter was polite, kind, and helpful. The "hot salsa" is a salsa verde- and the mild is a Smokey red pepper salsa. (And definitely still has a kick to it!) We tried 3 tacos- chicken, asada, and al pastor. Al pastor had the most flavor- but my favorite was the asada. Taco truck was clean- and our food was ready in 5 minutes! We'll definitely be back!

I've passed this street vendor many times (for a year) and always wanted to go. I read the yelp reviews and trust their honest opinions. Plus it was Cinco De Mayo weekend and I wanted to try authentic mexican fast food. Tacos Locos is located next to a rusty convenient store on Montgomery Road near Pleasant Ridge probably less than half a mile from Quatman's Cafe. Pulled up and already smell the grill. I can already tell I was going to like my meal. I ordered the Chicken Tacos which has onion, cilantro, cucumber slices and a slice a lime on serving size (small) tortilla for $2.00. And last, cheese quesadillas with has cheese, onions, cilantro and slice of lime for $5.00. As for my sauce, I chose hot. I wanted a little bite/kick to my meal. Only took 10 minutes. Service was great and employee was very nice and helpful. When I got home, I can smell the fresh cilantro. Simple meals made fresh and delicious! I thought the chicken wouldn't have any taste. I tried it without the sauce first to get a good taste and flavor of the chicken. It was seasoned just right. The quesadillas was perfect, not so big but enough cheese to fill me up. Overall, I would have to say for fast food, it was delicious! You cannot beat the price. I think the quesadillas could be alittle cheaper, but I know I would come back and purchase it again because it was so good! Definately coming back. They also sell salads, burritos, and their famous Tortas. That is next on my list to try. There are vegetarian options. There are no tables and they only accept cash.

This place was small and unassuming, but was very tasty. I tried one of each Taco: Beef, Chicken, and Pork. I'd have to say the beef was my favorite, but all were very tasty. The tortas are giant, round sandwiches which also look very tasty. I'm planning on trying those next. Tasty, Inexpensive, Authentic, Friendly!

Special: Quesa Tacos de Birria

This is my second time coming here... and the food is still amazing. Everything is made to order and hot when you get the food. I ordered the special of quesa tacos de birria and it was amazing. The serving size was large (I couldn't finish it) qnd well worth the 11 dollars. The time before I believe I ordered a shrimp Quesadilla and that was delightful as well.

Usually food trucks are a big hit or a big miss, I pulled up to the location and found the truck tucked in by the gas station. It being a hot day the windows were closed, so I couldn't tell if it was open or not. I went inside to ask the cashier at the gas station and they told me they don't know. lol how would you not know? I went back out and knocked on the window, and was promptly met by a curious gaze. I exclaimed to the woman, " how much for one taco? " 3 for $10, not bad I picked out 2 el pastor chicken tacos and 2 steak. One for my girl. She asked if everything on them was okay and I said go for it. She told 10 minute wait. I waited by the car as a door dash driver came through and also waited, confused if the establishment was open, I told them you have to knock. They did and were once again met with a sliding door and woman, she grabbed the door dash and the driver was on their way. My food came out in reasonable timing and they looked great! The worker recommended the steak tacos, so we were excited to try them. The chicken tacos were delicious, especially if you add the green salsa. The steak tacos were a little fatty, but still good flavor. They came with onion and cilantro. My girl wanted cheese, make sure you ask for it if you want it. I asked and the worker curiously gave me a to go side and sent me on my way. Language barrier or not, tacos el Brian is for anyone. I'd recommend giving it a shot, and helping a local business never hurts

Been eye balling the menu and was pretty impressed with the selection that we decided to try it. So glad we did. I am in love with the Chorizo Quesadilla. Packed with Avocados, tomato, lettuce and cheese. But he puts the right amount that it is not falling apart or soggy. Grilled to perfection. I even got my Mr hooked that he got the steak quesadilla. That too is balanced, meat tender and just alittle char to get the taste buds going. Last week my Mr got the Tacos (steak, chicken, and Al Pastor) and it was a hit for him. Besides tacos and quesadillas. He also serves pupusas and tlayudas which we are going to try it next week! The pricing is very reasonable and you definitely get what you pay for. I'd even go on record as saying I recently had possibly the BEST quesadilla in the city right here. The truck is still in front of the Norwood Drive-thru, but things cooking up inside this truck have definitely changed, and for the BETTER. My lady and I decided to check out the new and improved truck last Saturday. She ordered a chorizo quesadilla and I had three tacos (one chicken, one steak, one al pastor). The tacos were good enough to rival our favorite spot, El Taco Bus, and the quesadilla was truly EPIC. One thing that sets Marco's quesadillas apart from others is that he puts the lettuce, tomato, and avocados on the inside, so the quesadilla doesn't get soggy from all of that being on the outside. And his tomatillo sauce is very tasty with a nice, spicy kick. The food is priced very nicely too. We enjoyed it so much that we went back today and both got quesadillas (she got chorizo and I had steak). Both were absolutely delicious! My lady and I are tempted to try his tlayudas and papusas on our next visit. My lady and I definitely have a fondness for good food trucks, and this one has become an instant favorite. New owner, new name, even BETTER food!

So when I had to drive through Norwood for a doctor's appointment I pulled up Yelp to find the best burrito spot en route. Happy to have come across El Taco Bus for just that need! I sent a fb message before heading out to make sure he'd be there, since this is corona season and I don't know what kind of chances he's taking. Turns out, there's not much "social distancing" being practiced with the taco truck. No one was hanging out right there, but it was basically the same as any other taco transaction - you roll up, place an order, hand over the cash (cash only business), keep it moving. I ordered a steak burrito with salsa verde and extra beans instead of rice. He chucked all the toppings on the flat top for a few minutes, rolled it up in a monster, and dropped it under the press to get a nice sear on the shell. That, to me, is an essential next step. I don't want a soggy, fall to pieces, burrito. El Taco Bus delivered a perfect burrito. Brought it home and threw it on a bed of spinach and lettuce, topped it with the salsa, and sliced it open. There's a layer of delicious melty cheese, thick pieces of juicy steak, and plenty of cilantro and onions for flavor. The salsa verde was an excellent choice as well, it brought the full blast of onion and cilantro in every bite. Well worth the stop!
