Typically when seafood is this good that's all that's on the menu, but Rafa's is the exception if you're not into seafood. Everything on the menu is scrumptious, tacos, quesadillas, burritos you name it. Today I decided on a campechana which is a cold tomato based cocktail with veggies and an assortment of seafood. It was delicious to say the least. Flavorful broth and fresh seafood make this a great option especially on a warm day. I also ordered a grilled shrimp vampiro that left me speechless. First time trying this, a crispy tortilla shell with melted cheese and whatever protein topping you choose. Very consistent food quality will keep bringing me back. I got 3 tacos, Al Pastor (Marinated Pork), Chorizo (Mexican Spicy Sausage) and Tripa (Stewed and Fried Intestine *beef?*). Oh boy, the Al Pastor was nice and well done! The chorizo was broken up and crispy, and the Tripa was nice, soft and snappy. The tacos are server on a double layered tortilla... The tortilla isn't handmade but still your good tortilla. They have the condiments on the side of the truck. Guacamole salsa, red chili salsa and green chile tomato salsa, onions, cilantro, limes, marinated red onion and habaneros in lime, cucumbers etc... I normally go to Marielas Tacos closer to the LAX airport but this place is just as good/a little better when it comes to meat quality. Unfortunately there aren't any tables except a few chairs... mainly for waiting. These are street tacos... so you eat them on the street standing or take them home. There is ample parking in the afternoon/evening time. There is no bathroom or anything so CHILL. The Service: The lady and man in the truck are nice and friendly. They will take your order promptly and fulfil any additional request when getting your food. When he got his attention the dude was annoyed (but I mean I get it, it's late and he probably didn't want to work anymore). He asked for his burrito and the dude game him a dirty look and asked for the money and practically threw his change back at him while walking away. He gave us a burrito that was smaller than usual (we're regulars) but we didn't think anything of it. Once we got home, my boyfriend started eating and immediately realized the dude did something to his burrito. He put so much of the spiciest salsa they had (they don't put salsa in the burrito because they serve it on the side, or at least ask how spicy you want it) that he couldn't even eat half of it before throwing it away. Super disappointed and honestly I hate to be "that" person, but we're taking our business to the taco truck that sets up right next to them. I mean, if you do that to a customer because you're annoyed, I don't want to know what else they've done to people's food when they're bored.
