Food here is delicious, savory, and in good portions. You don't leave hungry, came at the morning so coffee was exceptional as well. The prices were a bit mid-fair but the food was fresh and delicious. Service was good too, the lady spoke English and Spanish. So language wasn't an issue, also she helped with any questions I had. Only for them to give me the complete wrong order so I called in because I really just wanted my order and the woman on the phone kept saying she doesn't know what to do. They have a variety of hispanic food, from hamburgers and fries to shrimp tostadas and even burritos. They have aguas frescas and ice cream insice as well. The tacos and tortas are really good. They have tables inside and outside. Parking can be cramped when busy. If I had to pick between eating from inside and eating from the food truck, I'd eat at the food truck. I've had several negative experiences customer service wise inside. On contrary to at the food truck, the lady always greets with a smile and even helps with any questions you may have about the food. Always makes me feel welcome and leaves you wanting to return. I've been here about 4 different times for lunch and I have yet to be disappointed. This time around I got the caldo marisco and fruta con cottage cheese. I was craving this soup. The broth is so yummy and has the perfect spicy level... hot enough to make my nose runny but not enough to over power the seafood. There are about 5-6 shrimp, a nice portion of octopus and about to fair pieces of i believe talapia fish. The seafood soup was not fishy. It could use some more chunky veggies but I enjoy the soup. The food is pretty good, I love their chilaquiles verde! The juices at the juice bar are freshly made to your request. Very "organic" and super fresh made at your request. King Taco is way better. Pastor mulita was TOO greasy & flavorless. A miss for me, I couldn't even finish it even after adding salsa & salt! No saving it. Fish ceviche couldn't say - we never got it. We ended up getting 2 shrimp ceviche tostadas which were fresh & delicious. We went back to get 3 more!! On another note they also sell fruit juices, frozen fruit pops, fresh fruit, aguas frescas & choco bananas. This is why they get 3 stars instead of 2. Son got strawberries & cream. You can't really mess that up. They were as good as anywhere. I got a bionico which was also as good as anywhere but with A LOT of apples. This place reminded me of an Alameda swapmeet knock off. There seems to be some confusion about the location of this restaurant. There is a brick and mortar building and a full service truck in the parking lot for those that do not wish to go inside. Although the staff and prices could have better customer service skills, I must say I was not disappointed with the quality of the food. There could be a better price list for the drinks and other items on the menu. Not all of us understand drinks and food items that are common to many Hispanic people. I am not a fan of the tight parking spaces at this strip mall. Can't blame this on El Antojito Grill but it is my hope they would bring this to the attention of the owner of this property. Over all, I have to go back to my first rule of eating and shopping. If the restrooms are nasty, then that is the first warning there could be problems with your food or other items you are purchasing. The restrooms in this restaurant are Nasty! I also never find any good reasons for music in any venue to be louder than someone sitting next to you talking. Feb. 22, 2015 I decided to give this place a second go. This time there was no loud music. Although the restrooms could use an update (like painting and a new floor), it seemed relatively cleaner than my first visit. The young lady that took my order was very sweet and nice. Unfortunately, I didn't quite get what I ordered. The once plate that was correct. had a few slices of avocado instead of the guacamole (the best thing they have). The other plate came with beef when I asked for carnitas. Most of the reviews I've read have been on point. -Super small parking lot. Which ironically their food truck takes up most of. Yes, they have a food truck in front of their restaurant/market. -Service is mediocre at best. For sure don't stop here if you're in a hurry. -Female employees are super rude 99% of the time. There's a younger gal that works the restaurant counter most weekday mornings. When she's not on her phone, she seems super annoyed to have help customers. She was super abrasive with me one morning when I accidentally took my debt card out too soon...Then I got double charged when she made me re-run it. The chick that's at the aguas frescas bar is normally pretty snippy too. The food is just alright. It does in a pinch. I normally go with the breakfast burrito & small fruit with chile. The burritos are oook sized--if you're used to normal taquira, baby-sized breakfast burritos, you'll be disappointed. The fruit normally is ok. Their salsa is amazing, that's probably the best thing I can say. Brand new store, just opened up! I guess it's the same people who have the food truck in the same parking lot and another food truck a few miles away, but now they have a market/butcher and actual restaurant with seating! First, the restaurant. It's delicious. Pretty much the same menu as the food truck, with all sorts of meat like tongue and head and tripe, that you may normally think twice about getting, along with all of the favorites like carne asada, chicken, al pastor (and some others I didn't recognize). The price is cheap too! I got a 4 taco plate with street taco style tacos, so each one consisted of 2 small corn tortillas, lots of meat, and some onions and cilantro. They also threw in a lime slice, radishes, and the mixture of onions, carrots, and whole jalapenos. For four bucks! That's pretty amazing right there. I got the lengua and I've never had beef tongue before, but it was good. Super tender and soft and tasty with all of the spices and cooking. I rounded out my meal with a liter bottle of Mexican coke, always a good thing. And yes, I ordered a liter of cola. The market is pretty nice too. It's really small and has all of the essentials, plus a few specialty ethnic items. The best part, though, is the butcher! Tons of seafood and meat, seasoned or unseasoned, all at your fingertips. I picked up a pound of al pastor and a pound of carne asada to take home. End-price for two pounds of pre-seasoned meat, ready to cook? Under $8. Their market is cheap too! I'm very excited about this place, finally a good carniceria near where I live or work. The people in the restaurant were fast, if not happy about their job, and the market and butcher people were really kind and helpful and nice.
