Awesome food truck experience in Playa Vista. I reviewed this a year ago, and just wanted to double down on that great experience. The people who run the truck are delightful. This truck pops up on random Fridays, and we happened to catch it after school, grabbed some food and headed to the park with the kids. Such a fun little outing. Lasagna might seem like a heavy park meal, but honestly, it worked out great. It doesn't look super glamorous in a to-go container, but don't let that fool you...it was delicious. Food flavor, too bland for my taste. Quantity of food, very little for the cost. Yesterday I spent $37 for the lobster ravioli n crème brûlée, my absolute favorite dessert. I love lobster ravioli and purchased it based on the pictures online. Let's be honest...these are not the same photos of the actual lobster ravioli made by LaLa Lasagna on the truck. There were teeny tiny pieces of lobster, one on each side of the inside of the ravioli. The pieces were so tiny that I opened the ravioli n literally found a tiny piece of lobster. The ravioli came with a salad, but who knew it would be included in the same container with the hot ravioli?? I wasn't able to eat right away, so by the time I got to my dinner, the salad was wilted n warm, and some of the ravioli sauce was on the salad...ugh! Unacceptable! For $37 I shldve had enough food left for a 2nd meal the next day. I spend quite a bit of money everyday because I don't have time to cook. And I don't mind spending money on food provided that it's fairly prepared and served to the consumer. The crème brûlée custard tasted watery...how's this possible?? It was nothing close to what I'm accustomed to, except that the candied topping was decent. But again, for the price of $7, it just wasn't worth it. I get these trucks r doing the best they can to survive, but they really need to take the consumers into consideration. Don't just rob because u can get away with it. Make the meals worth our hard earned money. The best of the meal was the balsamic salad dressing, since the salad was nothing like the picture. The dressing was delicious! But a woman can't live on salad dressing along. The picture shows hefty slices of tomatoes, but in fact I received very thinly sliced pieces of tomatoes. I'm not impressed at all. In total the truck received $40 from me because I left a $3 tip in the little box. Miss me with the B.S. food La La Lasagna. Pls stop ripping ppl off. U give great service, but if u can add great food and quantity, u'd be amazing. read more
