I know it's still 100 degrees on this late July day, but I can't believe this stand is not mobbed with customers. I walked up to the ghost shack and ordered some tacos and a Mexican Coke. I got a couple cabeza (un maíz, una harina) and asked for a recommendation on a third. Pork adobada (maiz) it is! Sooo. Wow. These tacos are a value at $2 apiece. The adobada is nice cubes and well marinated. The flavors jump out. The cabeza is tender, so juicy, and tatses amazing! The tortillas hold up. No sog outs. There is a nice shade covering the dining area, and the breeze was welcome. The salsa bar is on a table inside a cooler, so everything is kept fresh. I like the setup. I really like the food, and I especially like the idea of coming back... soon.

2 of the 4 had a wonderful kick - believe there are about 8 to choose from.

Grabbed chorizo and carnita tacos today, this place gets better and better, salsas are delicious, and customer service always genuine and friendly - see you next week...and gracias!

The tacos were super tasty! The bean burrito was made from nice pinto beans. There was a cold bar with great salsas, need I say more?

Super good tacos de pollo and a great salsa bar. Plenty of seating from a food truck. No card, just zelle

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.

My hubs suggested that we go to The Frida and see if we could get in. We drive over and guess what, we go lucky, must have been that everyone had a 4th of July hangover. We sat at the bar and couldn't be happier. Our server/bartender took great care of us, he offered us drinks, took our food order and made my hubby a really good Margarita, The Frida Margarita, he said it was bomb! I ordered a beer and it came with a chilled glass and lime wedge. We decided on the flautas and the mole enchiladas. Both fantastic, tasty and hearty! I got full with two enchiladas so I donated the third to my hubby, which he was super happy to eat. I have to say, the mole sauce was decadent and full of flavors. It really reminded me of my grandmas mole. It also left a delicious numbing (very slight) on my lips. Perfect balance of nutty, spicy, almost semi sweet goodness. Gorgeously prepared and looked almost too good to eat. Almost..... The place was full, we were still able to have a conversation. It was amazing. Will definitely be back to continue to enjoy the carefully curated menu. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed! This screams a great place to work and obviously enjoy. Well done La Frida! Well done!

The chilaquiles were amazing and two people could share them the serving was so large. The carne asada omelette was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, and she made our whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. The hosts were kind too. There was plenty of seating, a dedicated bar, TVs, and nice lighting. The patio has misters, which is perfect for this time of year. They offer booth and table seating, and the tables aren't packed too close together. With party members who have different mobility challenges, the spacing was great and made everything comfortable. The food was delicious. The complimentary bottomless chips and salsa were fresh and generous. If you order the horchata, it comes with free refills too, which is such a nice touch. My husband ordered 2 birria tacos with caldo and loved them. My father in law ordered 2 ground beef enchiladas with red sauce, and my mother in law ordered 2 plain ground beef tacos. I shared the ceviche with my dad, which was fresh and flavorful, and we each ordered one Quesabirria. It was so good! Dessert was perfect. We tried the flan and the chocolate flan. The chocolate flan was a moist Bundt-style chocolate cake with flan on top. Both were creamy, delicious, and enjoyed by all of us. Great service, great food, and Alexa truly made our first visit special. We'll definitely be back!
