These are the types of places I love finding. You walk up to it having no expectations and you leave feeling greatly satisfied. I feel like there's not a word I can think to describe it right now. But my food was delicious. The service was top notch. Walking in, the inside seemed like the place I was supposed to be. And it was. I ordered a Birria burrito with cheese, and my wife got the same but without beans. You can tell when a place puts their heart and soul into their food. This is one of those places. My nachos were so good and plentiful. My friend and her son ordered a burrito a piece...they were so fat with lots of meat inside. It's a dinky lil place. Looks like the son & mom are running the evening I went. As I was preparing to go in, I saw a lot of folks picking their food. That's a good sign. The first thing I see when I walk in is a banquet table full of soup bowls that hadn't been cleared. Looks like I'll have to try the soup. Well the soup was the consome, but I wasn't in the mood for birria. I tried 3 tacos; pastor, asada & chorizo. All were good, with the chorizo standing out. The cook/server is very cordial and accommodating. I definitely want to return and try other items. The only off-putting element is the mess of items in the counter display at the register! Made to order tacos and more with fresh meat that's flavored just right & not dry, these tacos hit the spot. I tried this place for the first time yesterday and loved it so much I had to try again! Today I ordered all the meats up top for tacos: Asada, Pastor, Pollo and Chorizo. Al Pastor is definitely my favorite, but each flavored so nicely. I also tried the small quesabirria and enjoyed that! Both times I dined in and the guys here are super hospitable and the menu offers classic drink options, I love that they are in town. Saves me from having to go to the outskirts of town when I want a great taco. I'll still try my other places, but I've got my new go-to spot not too far from home. This is a excellent local shop run by a young chef, John, who really focuses on quality and value. The birria is top notch and he gives a great portion of beef in everything. The birria ramen is the best I've had because he manages to keep the soup beefy and not oily like others. He will try to accommodate any request. Found this hidden gem on yelp! Location is a little hidden but it's definitely worth a drive. I live roughly 20 min away and take my daughter her at least twice a week because this is the only restaurant were she will sit down and actually eat food other then fries and Mac & cheese.
