I don't know how this place has 4 star review. The person there was friendly and it was good service. But I think we order the wrong things. We ordered three different things so we can try everything out enchilada plate torta and a street taco. The enchiladas were pretty good. The beef ones had a lot of flavor. Chicken didn't have that much flavor. The beans and rice were horrible. No kind of flavoring at all the thought that was actually really good. Got an Asada torta pretty tasty. The fries it came with were not that great and I ordered the Birria street taco. The seasoning of that was not very good no flavoring at all. It tasted like it wanted to, but it just didn't hit. The food was just very bland.

We love this place! We head up to Calico this time every October. We make this our spot before going back down the hill. The service is warm, hospitable and on top of it. I always get there Quesobirria taco plate, never disappoints. 3 delicious crisp tacos packed with delicious birria and cheese, rice, beans and the concommé for dipping. My husband had the menudo and a tamale on the side both excellent. What I enjoyed that my husband ordered was the Café de la Olla. It was a warm day for coffee, but just a couple of sips hit just right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and spacious with music in the background that is enjoyablly not to loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Head to this restaurant and enjoy some really great authentic Mexican food that can not be passed up. This restaurant is hidden, but worth the find, a diamond on the rough.

The food was interesting for me. First time I had goat Birria and it didn't taste gamey at all. I enjoyed the crunch from the tacos but I figured out I prefer regular tacos. The ramen Birria was interesting but I would use different noodles. The services was very nice. The lady helping us was very nice and smiley and kind. She explained what the daily special was and did allow us to use the Yelp 10% off. The ambiance is very Mexican with all the decorations. The colors are fun as well as the restaurant. The kitchen is very clean and the food came out pretty quickly. I felt like I was in someone's house to eat dinner.

Big shoutout to this local spot. The portion was great and pricing was reasonable. The lady that took our order was super nice and welcoming. Consommé for the quesabirria was so rich and accompanied the crunchy bite very well. I opted for the ramen rather than my usual pozole, and it was very fun as well. Can't say I love coming to Victorville but now I have something to look forward to when I do!

Cute little place in Victorville with very decent birria tacos I just wish it wasn't beef, but still good. The interesting take on their birria was ramen. Horchata was delicious. The service was very pleasant and attentive.

I had really high hopes in finding a good birria and consome but felt let down. Especially after the price. 8 quesabirrias, 8 tacos and - bowl of parole rang up at $65. The number one about this place is service. The woman at the counter was really nice. She let me know they also have a food truck on el avado rd which I look forward to checking out some time. The tacos were okay, large in size and full of meat. Perfect amount of garnished onions and cilantro. I preferred the avocado salsa to the others but the green salsa was great. It also comes with radishes but I am not a fan of radishes. Quesabirrias was mostly the tortilla; two tortillas , outside was crunchy but the inside tortilla was mushy and soggy. I think they are better with just one tortilla so the cheese and meat stand out more than the tortilla but every place does them a little different. The meat was tender and well cooked but the flavor was off from any other birria I have enjoyed. The whole taco was very greasy and that was before dipping in the consume. The consommé was really salty and had a bitter taste, maybe heavy on the cumin, I can't place it. And again the grease was there, not thin but sticky. The birria parole was thick and again with the same flavor since it's made with consome. The hominy was scarce but delicious. I added beef broth to it and it wasn't as strong and I could drink the broth. Chorizo was great, the chicken and asada was good but the al pastor I would not order again. Closed on Monday.

Skimpy tamale with almost no meat.
    Ronald C.

Tamales were disappointing this time. They are really big but consisted mostly of dry masa and only a sparse amount of meat. I was surprised! You get a little container of sour green sauce on the side with them. I could not eat these so I left it and went somewhere else.

Great local Mexican restaurant. All the dishes are prepared fresh and are so tasty. Service is excellent as well. Enjoyed the quesabirria and all the different meat tacos. I highly recommend!

Came in for an early lunch. Got the quesabirria combo plate. 3 huge, loaded quesabirria tacos rice and beans with consume. Best tacos I've had up here. I came here once before just before the Covid lockdowns and have been wanting to come back.

Nasty ass consommé they served me.

I don't understand how this place has so many positive reviews. For starters, I ordered my food to go. I live 3 minutes around the corner from this place, and by the time I got home, my Birria Tacos were soggy. The consommé sauce was just broth with no color, onions, cilantro or any seasonings in it, and was disgusting! The rice and beans were actually ok. The worst tacos I've ever had in my life. My family is Mexican. Being impatient, I should've waited on my nephew to cook for me. I posted a video of the consommé. The only reason they got a star at all is because I didn't have the option of giving them no stars. I definitely won't be back.

    QuesaBirria tacos

Some of the better quesabirria tacos I've had. It did take a lil bit longer but that's ok because everything came out hot and fresh. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good birria. They also have birria ramen and pizza I believe the guy said lol. I just tried the tacos to keep it simple but it was outstanding

Paulina's has consistently delivered incredible food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that truly feels like home. The food is authentic, fresh, and made with so much care. Whether we're stopping in for a quick meal or celebrating a special occasion, the quality is always exceptional. What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the people. The employees are genuinely kind, welcoming, and hardworking. They remember familiar faces, treat everyone like family, and make every visit feel special. Supporting local businesses like this is important because they are the heart of our community. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, exceptional service, and a place that truly cares about its customers, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We came here about 3 years ago for my son's birthday, and he insisted on coming back here again for this year's birthday. The waiter was nice and attentive, he didn't have any issues waiting when we needed more time to decide on our order, and he was quick to correct an issue when our food arrived. We never ran out of our drinks, which is a feat in itself with how fast the kids drain theirs! The best part for me was when I showed the waiter a picture of a drink I ordered 3 years ago and the bartender was able to replicate it and tell me what it was so I could order it again. It wasn't on their menu anymore, so it was impressive that he was able to identify it from a picture. Bring back the White wine Sangria, it's delicious! Oh, I also have to mention that when they brought the ice cream out to sing happy birthday, they made sure to include an ice cream for my 5 year old so that she didn't feel left out. My mom enjoyed her chicken enchiladas. 2nd order: Shrimp fajitas, but I received fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak. I made an attempt to eat the steak but it was dry. We ordered chicken suizas and received the actual chicken suizas, which did not have shredded chicken but blocks of chicken. My mom hated this dish and said it made her sick unfortunately. The manager was gracious in correcting the mistakes and gave us some delicious churros, so that helped. The flour tortillas seemed handmade, they were very fluffy. The salsa and chips were good.
