My husband and I were at the restaurant next door, when I noticed a sign saying that they now offer chilaquiles. That is one of my favorite dishes so, of course, I had to try them out. Been coming here for decades and the food always hits. My parents love the Thursday burrito deal where it's $2 off. The price has been going up over the years but a huge asada burrito for under $8 is a steal. I love how they have the jalapeño/carrot as self serve cuz my family definitely needs a bunch of those. The parking is small but it's mostly take out so you'll always find parking. There's a decent amount of seating inside. The staff is nice and fast. I always have a craving for carne asada fries, which is one of their specialities here, although I personally prefer thin cut fries, and they only serve thick crinkle fries, i decided to give it a try anyways. It usually comes with beans and nacho cheese, but I opted for no beans, and nacho cheese on the side, and added pico de gallo. It does come with a good serving of guacamole and sour cream. And the fries were honestly not bad, more of the softer side rather than crispy. And their cabeza taco was absolutely terrible. Nothing but mushy meat, and mushy tortilla, the whole taco fell apart as soon as I picked it up. Also not to mention that the lady at the register was SUPER STINGY about hot sauce. She only gave us 3 tiny little hot sauces, and when we tried to ask for more, she said she would have to charge. Like i don't understand, you have all the veggies like carrots, peppers, onions, and sides unlimited for people to grab themselves, but you're going to be stingy about hot sauce? I am so DISGUSTED!! I Ordered 2 fish tacos. After finishing one I noticed something green on the tortilla of my 2nd taco. After a closer look I realized IT WAS COVERED IN MOLD!!! After I removed everything off the tortilla it was very apparent that it was moldy so I can't understand how and why the cook would just choose to ignore it and serve it!! This place needs to go through a THOROUGH health inspection. Who knows what other kinds of food they're serving that hasn't been noticed by the consumers. There's a cash discount. Indoor dining is available. The carne asada had a bit of a crispiness to it, which was nice. The nachos came with guacamole and red and green salsas. Tacos Mexico is a mainstay a staple in hacienda. This is the place for almost like street tacos but inside a restaurant location. And almost everyone in hacienda has stopped by here to satisfy a late late night taco or burrito craving. The restaurant is clean and the menu easy to review. Prices are fair and the food is good. It's not gourmet but it's pretty close to authentic street food without being on the street. The burritos are large and the tacos are tasty. The salsas are not overly spicy and accompany the food just right. They also have horchata to wash it all down with. Parking is easy, service is friendly, prices are fair and the food is good. The reviews for this place is very accurate, it's a 3 star restaurant. Their tacos are okay, not the best but not the worst. The portion sizes are also very small. I only go here when it's late at night since they're 24/7 and it's so close to my house, aside from that there's a lot of other great taco places around. I have been coming to this place for years and every time it's either a hit or miss. What I mean by that is you're either getting bomb tasting food, but bland condiments or bland food, bomb condiments. putting in a phone order is also a hit or miss they either answer right away or it takes a few calls to get them to answer depending how busy they are. When you show up though plenty of seating back and front entrance and tons of parking. One out of five times I would still recommend looking for your local taco spot. read more

It wouldn't have been an issue, but the salsa was hot enough to no longer have the food enjoyable. I went back up to the counter letting them know that I didn't want salsa on my wife's tacos only. All the lady said with an attitude was "It's because you didn't tell me. I asked you if you wanted everything." I said, "yeah I didn't know these tacos come with salsa." All she did was point at the front display as if saying, "well it's right there, you should have known, it's your fault, not mine." You know I wasn't asking for the entire order of 10 tacos, just 5. It's always good to bump into old friends! All of the Tacos Mexicos around where I live have long since closed down, replaced by Dunkin' Donuts and other banal institutions of American consumerism. Imagine my surprise when driving through Hacienda Heights to happen upon a marquee I haven't seen in YEARS! The eerie red light, red tables, and checkerboard flooring can only mean one thing... TACOS MEXICO! This may not be news to locals but Tacos Mexico has definitely caught up with the times, serving up keto tacos in the form of the ever-so-trendy quesabirria tacos. Every week they have a Taco Tuesday deal that runs to midnight, with normal meats costing $1.10 a taco. I got a Cabeza and Carnitas taco, a fried potato taco, and a Quesabirria taco. The Cabeza and Carnitas were tender and buttery, as they should be, while the potato taco was unfortunately not as good as I remembered it... probably too many toppings drowned out the potato. The Quesabirria was much spicier than expected and had me drinking Horchata with every other bite to combat the kick. It's good to get reacquainted with old favorites. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely stopping by for some Lengua Gorditas and Mulitas. read more

I love the Birria tacos in Colorado and I didn't think anything could top it but this place has the best birra I have ever had!
