Please think twice about coming here. I spent $33 for 4 tacos and 1 burrito and that would have been fine, if the food was good. Unfortunately, the best thing about this place is they use real jack cheese and shred it right in front of you. The main problem here is the lack of seasoning on all of their meats. I constantly crave Boca! The burritos are filled with meat, beans, cheese (as much as you want!), sour cream, guac, cabbage, onions, and cilantro. Their burritos are freaking massive and the cabbage gives it a nice crunch. Half of a burrito usually fills me up pretty good. Tacos, nachos, and quesadillas are also pretty hefty babies. We always get ours with the works: cheese, sour cream, and guac. Their red sauce is a must! Spicy and oh so flavorful. They make your food super quick so there's never really a line. There's a bit of parking in the back and a couple of spots out front. There are also a couple of tables to eat at too if you don't want to take your food home. This location also has a drive thru which comes in handy on the hot days when you don't wanna leave your AC'd car or the rainy days when you don't wanna get wet. This place has been in existence for 35+ years. My first visit was out of curiosity because I would see a line of people waiting, no matter what time of the day or night. They specialize in tacos and burritos. Choose your protein (Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Chicken, Carnitas, Lengua or Cabeza). The toppings are sour cream, onions, cilantro and guacamole. They will add a mound of freshly grated cheese that covers your plate. It is a mild monterey jack cheese that is creamy. It tastes superior to the pre-packaged cheese that is grated too fine that the flavor is lost. Their menu includes quesadillas and fully loaded nachos (good for two people). They have spicy red or mild green salsa. Picnic tables in front and on the side of the building are available to dine under the patio covering. A private parking lot is locatec behind the building. This small family-owned business is very clean. The employees wipe the tables and pick up the empty plates and cups every 30 minutes. I've been coming to Boca Del Rio since 1996. It's probably my favorite burrito in Los Angeles. I haven't been in a long time - my first bite took me back to high school. It tastes exactly the same. I always get the combo burrito with asada. I add everything - onions, cilantro, cabbage, guacamole, sour cream and cheese. I get the green salsa in the burrito and red salsa on the side. The people were really friendly here and the place itself was one of those stands where you walk up and order at a window and pick up your food at a different window with some seating around the outside. Stopped by here to get a burrito (carne asada) to go. Really good burrito that hit the spot and they really stuff that thing with the ingredients. I came a little after normal lunch time so there was zero line/ wait and parking was easy to find along the street right by the location. Price was very reasonable for what you get as well. This place use to be great food and service. Now the food is ok, but the service sucks!!! There's 2 chubby chicks that work the front counter that are always angry whenever you show up to order. This place is outdoor dining only (window service), however they pack the tacos! My favorite has always been their 'Asada Burrito', which consists of beans, meat, cilantro, onions, cabbage, and cheese, but I also add sour cream & and avocado with both salsas. They have both green & red hot sauces (the red one is spicier than the green one, so choose depending on your tolerance or just get it on the side). Absolutely delicious! Never have I ever tried a taco like this before. The way the avocado compliments this so well just drives my tastebuds insane. The rojo salsa is spicy and definitely took the taco to the next level. My friend ordered their carne asada burrito and let me tell you. It is one juicy ass burrito. I've been going to Boca Del Rio for my entire life so it's cool to see them going through a rebrand. If you come here I'd recommend the tacos special which comes with sour cream, guacamole, cheese, and shredded lettuce. Tried their asada and noticed it had a good smokey taste to it. Must be their new mesquite grill! With two taco specials and a large horchata I paid a total of $10.25.
