It's parked at a gas station at a corner and there was no line when we went (Friday evening). Service was very friendly and fast! I tried the: 1) Horchata ($3 for regular): -Nice and sweet. Not watered down at all like other horchata and isn't 90% ice either. Perfect. 2) Lengua &Carne Asada Tacos: -We asked for everything on top (onions, cilantro, etc). Meat was cooked nicely and I LOVED the salsa. The green sauce was nice and the red was actually super spicy with a strong kick. We asked for extra salsa and we got a good amount for free! Stopped by after a gig to get a late dinner. Ordered some tacos and a drink. They were delicious! The meat wasn't chewy or hard. It was perfect. The salsas were very tasty and I loved that they gave me grilled onions on the side with a grilled jalapeño as well. The service was very fast, didn't have to wait any more than 5 minutes for my order! They are on a gas station lot so they have very limited seating. The truck was at my son's school for the parent conference today. They only had the two variations of meat available, so I ordered beef tacos and Carne Asada tacos ($1 each), I was expecting ground beef for the former but when I got the plate it looked like Carne asada to me (although he yelled out 'beef tacos' when he passed me the plate) but what do I know right? Then I got the other plate which was supposed to be Carne asada, guess what? They look exactly the same. So I'm thinking maybe they taste different. Nope! The same, down to the hard cartilage of the meat that was mixed in. I was so afraid I might break a tooth or something then end up paying more for a taco that's supposed to cost $1. Yes, Michael R., the meat was tasty enough but I guess I will never know how they differentiate between the two. They have a table in front set up with the red and green salsas, chopped onions and cilantro and lime wedges with their individual serving tongs. Can you guess what my gripe is? Right! There's no ice bath to keep them fresh nor lids to ward off flies or what nots. I know it's still winter time, but food still spoil when they are not temperature controlled. Also, some customers, even when there are serving tongs provided they still think it is acceptable for them to pick up the lime wedges with their bare hands. I am so thankful for the extra seasoning or spice I might get from these generous contributors. I don't know if I will seek them out at their regular spot to try their chicken or other offerings, but for now I am kinda unhappy with the beef or Carne asada or some kind of meat, whatever, with extra ingredients from the generous donations from other customers' bare hands. read more

Been coming here for years and im finally writing this review. This is a lunch truck that parks at the south east corner of temple and azusa at the gas station. Lines here can get pretty long at times but its definitely worth it. I always order the carne asada quesadilla and its awesome!! The flavor of the meat pairs well with the cheese they use. Also, i get a side of sour cream which makes it taste even better. Its a hug quesadilla for $5 flat. Honestly, the main reason I come here is because they're one of the few taco trucks that sells tripas (tripe), by far my favorite. The truck's colors are very bright and easy to spot. I'm glad that they have established themselves this location and I look forward to seeing them, and stopping by, on my way home from home. They're at this location 5 or 6 days out of the week and late into the night too so it's a great place to stop by after the bars or clubs if you leave before 2 AM. The tacos are $1.25, burritos are $5, quesadillas are $5, and nachos are $7. The super nachos come with meat, guacamole, cheese, and beans. Tacos come with meat, cilantro, onions, and salsa. Burritos come with meat, rice, beans, onions, cilantro, and salsa. Their meat choices are: asada (beef), pastor (pork), lengua (tongue), cabeza (head), pollo (chicken), tripas (tripe), suadero (rib meat), buche (pork stomach), and longanisa (sausage). They also have Mexican coca-cola, horchata, jarritos, and other canned sodas. They are usually there on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but sometimes come on other days too. They are there in evenings to late at night, so it's good if you're hungry after partying at like 2am! Every order comes with grilled onions and chilis wrapped in a foil. They have salsa roja, salsa verde, and avocado (guacamole) salsa. The lines are usually long, but the wait will be worth it! And because the lines are long, parking can be difficult since it shares the lot with the gas station. Their asada is really good! I have never had the chewy meat like other reviewers have said. The chicken is really well marinated too. Their burritos are a good size and the tacos have a good amount of meat in them. Yeah, parking was tight, There is a Traffic Control dude on a Motorcycle there and they have cones but the people going there, you'd swear, that if they can't park 10' away from the truck, they'd die, so that sucks. The Quesadillas are HUGE. A burrito size tortilla loaded with cheese with sour cream, salsa and a small house sized salad. Add meat and it's a meal by itself. The Suadero, chicken and asada tacos are out of this world. 4 of those and I'm happy, so that'd be a $ 5.00 bill. The Asada Burrito is insane. I get it with meat, cheese, beans and salsa only. With the rice, there's be no room for the tacos ;) Carlos, the cashier if totally cool and funny. If you want a treat and have friends or a big stomach, tell him you want an order of Chuy's Special Nachos. A to go container full of goodness. REAL Mexican bottled 1/2 liter Coca Cola or a freshly made Horchata to wash it down and BINGO. The fresh salsa verde or guacamole salsa can't be beat and they have fresh grilled onions and huge chiles free for the asking or step up to the free cucumbers, jalapeno and carrots or limes. On Thursday nights they leave at 12:00 am on Friday and Saturday they leave between 2:30-3:00 am and on Sunday and Monday they leave at 12:00 am.
