Celebrated by daughter's birthday a couple of weeks ago and relied on Yelp in hopes of finding a good taco catering company. I reached out to various businesses, but Taco's Meza stood out right away... Tacos Meza was responsive with my inquiry and provided all details regarding their packages and booking process right away. Their timeliness and pricing were key factors in moving forward with catering for our event (along with the excellent Yelp reviews of course)... Their packages are straight forward and reasonable in price. We selected the three meat taco option (per person charge), which also included 20 quesadillas and agua fresca flavor of choice. The chicken (majority thought was the best), carne asada and carnitas were all delicious AND plentiful! Rice, beans and salsa were also included in our package. We had a huge leftover taco protein supply... So awesome. You can work with Daisy for other options as well... she was very professional, flexible and easygoing throughout the whole process... On the day of our event, two workers (Andrew and Armando) arrived timely and provided excellent customer service. They were polite and professional and very efficient with handling the orders. Everything in the contract was precise and executed perfectly. No hidden costs, no surprise fees, no dissatisfaction with the food, no personnel issues. Such a great taco catering! Daisy is communicative and has been so easy to talk to. I've texted her multiple times with questions and she answers them in a timely manner. Their tacos are soooo good! Definitely a hit with our guest. Just want to mention that the day of my daughters bday, we had an unexpected weather alert for extremely strong winds and was concerned I had to cancel them. Luckily they were able to set up in the garage and everything worked out just fine. This was our first experience with a "taco man" and we may have had higher expectations than necessary. But we did want our party to be fun. We made a down payment six weeks ahead. Food was good, Daisy was nice on text and phone, paid $953 for the $11pp, $3 up charge for shrimp, asada, chicken, added an order of tofu, jalepenos and onions, and chips and guac. I told them our guest count was 60 ppl. Long story short, the service day of was atrocious. No way it was worth almost $1000. I allowed them to pass out cards to my guests and my guests said they wouldn't hire them bc of the poor service. Please see attached photos of our conversation. An offer of compensation for the Guac they took with them (as if planning to use it at the next party?) or some sort of partial refund would have been nice. I've used Taco's Meza for 3 separate events at my home. Each time they have been a HUGE hit with all my guests! I never hesitate to share their contact info when asked for a reference, I KNOW they'll provide excellent service and wont disappoint. Daisy is easy to communicate with and patient with my MULTIPLE text messages with questions. She provides two images with their menu and prices. A few days prior to the event she send an image with includes questions to confirm the details of the menu and event. I received a text message from her the morning of the event letting me know what time to expect her crew to arrive and balance due. Patrick and Mathew they arrived 1.5-2 hours prior to their start time to set up and begin cooking the food. They where there an additional two hours and were friendly and provided great service to my guests. The tacos are flavorful and delicious. They served the food, guest then help themselves to the food station they set up with the salsas and extras. At the end of their time with us, we provided them with containers and they packed up all the left over food. At my most recent event, we paid $11/person, which included 3 meats, rice, beans, salsa, onions/cilantro, picked carrots, quesadillas, aqua fresca, plates, utensils & napkins. Highly recommend! I reached out to Taco Meza in a panic 8 days before my boyfriend's surprise birthday party (last minute decision to be a good gf lol). Daisy, the owner, responded with a quote in less than an hour, was extremely responsive and answered my million questions. We went with Package #1 which included: - Choice of 3 Proteins: we went with Asada, Chicken (AMAZING!) and Tofu Fajitas - Choice of either 20 Quesadillas or 24 Hot Dogs: we went for the hot dogs and added bacon wrap, grilled jalapenos and onions for $15 - Red & Green Salsas - Limes - Onions - Cilantro - Hot Carrots - Beans - Rice - Choice of 1 Agua Fresca Flavor: we chose watermelon and ended up adding vodka to it. $8.50/person x 30 people (minimum) = $255 + $15 (hot dog add-ons) = a total of $270+tip for 2 hours of serving and all that food! I have enough left over to feed 5 people.. TWICE! The day before the event, Daisy informed me that it would be her husband and niece who would be working out event and on the day of the event, they showed up a little more than an hour before to set up (this does not cut into the serving time). Both of them were very nice and tended to all our taco needs! We The only small hiccup we had was during the set-up time. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN ENTRANCE WAY THAT'S A LITTLE WIDER THAN AN AVERAGE FRONT DOOR. My boyfriend had just gotten a boat a couple days before the event which occupied a majority of the side gate entrance and made it VERY difficult to bring the grill in.
