The only taco truck I got to try while in San Diego, but it was pretty good. Really enjoyed the shrimp tacos. The asada and pastor tacos were good as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken taco. Overall, a good experience, and I'd come back again.

Loved this food truck! Friendly service, super clean, and absolutely delicious food. The salsa was on point, the adobada was my favorite, and the aguas frescas are made fresh. Great vibes and happy tummies!

Was waiting for my car to charge nearby, so decided to stop by and try out the tacos. I ordered a carnitas, al pastor, and a asada taco. The best one out of the 3 I would say was the carnitas, it was very flavorful and had a nice crisp to it like how normally like it. They add salsa right on top and had a good spice to it. They have little tables nearby and a bench you can use to sit in the shade, so it was nice. Overall for 3 tacos and a Mexican coke for $14, you can't beat that price, for the meats aim for the carnitas can't go wrong

The ladies at the food truck were so nice but the food was just okay. There was a lot of rice in the burrito compared to meat and all the meat in tacos and burritos were dry. Also the limes we got were dried out.

This place never disappoints especially on Taco Tuesday! Their deals on their tacos are $2/taco. They're also have other options if you don't feel like eating tacos. All of their orders are made to order so it's very fresh! Don't be scared to try the lengua because it's actually very very good! Also, if you like a little bit of spice, ask for jalapeños. The al pastor, shrimp and lengua are my go to tacos to order from here!

Has been my go to food truck for an Al Pastor burrito since they were located at the Chevron in San Marcos and been following them ever since. I have visited them when located in Oceanside and now Vista Not sure if they have always used sour cream but this time the sour cream was too much. Always thought they used cotija cheese. I would not recommend the new vista location. For the best experience stick to their OG truck in San Marcos. Portion size is good and ingredient proportions are perfect. They always include salsas on the side and sides like radish, pickled jalapeño and carrots and limes Vista location needs a bit of improvement. Ordered a burrito from them and was not the same experience as the San Marcos truck. Burrito was smaller than normal...Maybe they had a bad day today?

Al pastor burrito. A lot of rice but good flavor.

It's a taco truck--actually a trailer--located in the "Furniture Row" area of San Marcos. The address is listed on Yelp and it's easy to find. I tried the al pastor burrito. It's not huge but it's not small, either. It had more rice than I prefer but the pastor was tender and had good flavor. The little cup of hot sauce they give you was really good. It was spicy but not over the top. They were doing steady business during my visit but my order was ready in about 5 minutes. Nice. Not amazing but a solid option if you want to give them a try.

2022 Food Truck Month, Part 5 October is typically one of my favorite months of the year and because of this series I want this month to end even less than I normally do. I had no idea that many cities don't appear to welcome food trucks within their borders, so tracking one down can be a little more challenging than I anticipated. Having said that I've really enjoyed searching for them where they can be found and I absolutely intend to continue this series in October 2023! We caught up with "Tacos Mi Estilo Jalisco" on the corner of Los Vallecitos Boulevard and Bingham Drive in San Marcos, California. Their "Pollo Tacos" and "Pollo Burrito" were both flavorful and enjoyable. Where they really distinguished themselves was with their "Asada Tacos" and "Carnitas Burrito." The fresh ingredients and flavors really complimented one another and made both these items excellent. Not lost on one of our Review Team Members is that the burritos featured whole pinto beans that were not refried (which brought back fond childhood memories of the pinto beans being prepared in a similar manner). Although their is no seating available, there is a small counter for you to utilize while eating. We discovered a picnic table available in front of the adjacent motorcycle store that came in handy. They prefer cash, so come prepared. We have to admit that we loved their hashtag (#tacoboutjalisco)! And that's...Henry's Take. #sanmarcosfoodtrucks

The tacos had very little meat, and the portions were not satisfying. To make matters worse, our order only came with four hot sauces. When we politely asked for more hot sauce and extra napkins, the staff refused. We were also told that only one napkin was allowed per plate, which was surprising. Even other taco places, like Frida's, are much more accommodating. Overall, the food did not justify the price, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, this was an unpleasant visit, and I won't be returning. I'll definitely be taking my business somewhere else in the future.

As someone who is lactose intolerant, that's something I have to be careful about. I called the restaurant, and the employee I spoke with said they would remake it for me the next time I came in. When I returned on Monday, Alexis helped me. It turned out my name hadn't been taken when I originally called, so there wasn't a way to verify the order. Even so, Alexis listened to my situation, trusted my word, and honored the remake. She handled everything professionally and made the situation right. Mistakes happen, but great customer service is how they're resolved. Thank you, Alexis, for taking care of it and making things right.

I'm not sure what changed in the kitchen but I pretty bummed on the last 5 times I've gone. I get the California every time I go and add guac for reference, I'm a simple guy. Under-seasoned meat or not enough meat, soggy or dry/stale fries, light on guacamole when added sometimes, missing cheese. The consistency has been really off unfortunately for a pretty simple burrito. My last time I went I ordered the usual California burrito no sour cream add guac, got the burrito and it had sour cream and guac.... But no meat???? It was a big tortilla with sour cream and guacamole only in it lol. I laughed at the mix up and the customer service was great getting a refund (didn't request it they just gave it to me) and replacement burrito. Still decided it was my last time going there after that as even the replacement tasted like the meat had no seasoning on it. Writing this review to hope they turn things around some time in the future, I miss coming here but can't justify spending that much $ for a burrito I'm worried to be bummed about....again.

The first time I visited a few weeks ago, I had a really positive experience. The location was a little hard for me to find, but once I got there, it seemed worth it. I walked in craving a breakfast burrito and was helped by a very nice, slender gentleman at the counter. I asked for a ham, bacon, and sausage breakfast burrito and also requested that it be cut in half. He was friendly, said no problem, and within minutes I had exactly what I ordered. That burrito was delicious. The salsa station was stocked and convenient with self-serve cups readily available, and the atmosphere was nice. The people around me were friendly, and one gentleman even mentioned this was the place that used to be near Peterson's Donuts. Overall, it was a great first impression and I left happy, already planning to come back. Fast forward to today, Saturday, April 25, 2026 around 10:30 AM, and unfortunately, my second experience was the complete opposite. This time there was a young woman working the register, and from the moment I approached, she didn't seem very welcoming. I told her I wanted to order a breakfast burrito but wasn't sure what kind I wanted today. She told me the only options were bacon, egg, cheese and tater tots, or egg and cheese. I politely asked if I could add ham and sausage and pay extra, since that's what I had ordered before. She immediately responded that they "didn't have that type of breakfast burrito." That response confused me because I had literally ordered one there before. I wasn't going to argue, especially because her tone and attitude made me feel like I was bothering her just by asking questions. I then asked if the burrito could be cut in half and never really got a clear response. I also noticed the salsa station no longer had the little self-serve cups available, so I had to ask for those too. The same cashier asked how many I needed, and I said two. A few minutes later, another woman called my name and handed me the burrito. I sat down and realized it wasn't cut in half like I requested. At that point, I had to go back up and ask for a plastic knife and fork just to cut it myself. Which was not a problem or issue for me. I ate half of the burrito, but honestly, it wasn't nearly as good as the first one. The taste was underwhelming, and by the time I left I was just so disappointed. I ended up throwing the other half away after I left. Consistency matters, especially when the first experience set the bar high. The food was great the first time, but the service and quality were lacking the second time around. My honest opinion: if someone is having a bad day, they probably shouldn't be the first face customers interact with at the register. I may update this review depending on how management responds, because I know this place can do better based on my first visit.
