Forgot to snap photos of the tacos but this place is great! Made to order and fair prices! The gym next door has music blasting to be prepared for the noise. Simple and easy to order.

After a workout, I was craving some meat - and Teziutacos popped up on my radar on google. I didn't see a posting for it on Yelp so it piqued my interest to check it out. It looked like it took over Phatties as there was a neon sign that was hanging on one of the walls (which I heard was a super delicious vegan place that I didn't have the chance to try out). We ordered 3 tacos each and my other half enjoyed his with spiciest sauces from the sauce area. I ordered the taco de lengua, taco de especial pescado, y taco de al pastor. My favorite was the pastor - taste was salty and worked well with the toppings that came with it. Second was the pescado and then lastly the lengua. My other half enjoyed all of his. He enjoyed the carnitas and the pescado. His least favorite was the cabeza. They have one bathroom which was decently clean - no changing table. On the menu they do have a kids meal - fries or chips with cheese and also have a few chairs available. Tortillas are made fresh! We would come again, but without our toddler - as he's not too into eating chips/fries. He's more into noodles/rice.

This is the type of place that made me feel like I had stepped back into puerto Vallarta for pastor tacos. Everything tasted authentic. The taco shop looks unassuming from the outside- like any other spot you may find in San Diego county - and is located next to a baile folklorico studio (giving even more Mexico vibes). You can hear the music and dance practice next door, which I enjoyed but if you want a more peaceful meal, just take your food to go. The food is so delicious, with the pastor being my favorite, being shaved off the spit right in front of you. Tacos are piled high and are very filling. Prices are very affordable still! Definitely a spot to visit over and over.

Second visit, I tried the full-sized $4.50 Carne Asada taco and it was very good; well marinated and grilled with a decent quantity. It could have been a bit more tender, but at least there were no chewy or inedible pieces like most others in town. I liked the few scattered Pinto beans. Correction on one of the salsas: the creamy green one is not Avocado-based, but very hot Jalapeño or Serrano. I love the hot, fresh, and free basket of chips! My only complaint is that the salsa cups are tiny, such that you either have to break up a chip to dip it, or pour some onto the whole chip. One oddity that I chalk up to the place being new: I'm sure I was there on a Monday and got two street-sized tacos. Today, on a Friday, they insisted they only have them on Tuesdays. And they're only available with Carnitas, Pastor, or Pollo.

Hands down some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. Everything was straight fire from the first bite. The meat was packed with flavor, tortillas tasted fresh, and the salsas actually had legit flavor and heat instead of tasting watered down. The service was solid, food came out quick, and the whole spot had a good vibe. You can tell they actually care about what they're putting out. Definitely one of those places you randomly try once and end up craving all week after If you're debating going here, just do it. Absolute hidden gem.

Best tacos I've ever had! The corn tortillas are unlike anything others I've tried. Everything was fresh and so yummy. Excellent service. Clean and super cute place! I love the ambiance in here and beautiful floral mural. This is my new favorite spot for tacos!!! A must try if you've never been

Hands down one of the best places we have tried! From the hand made tortillas to the flavorful taste of their meats! The Asada and Al pastor was spot on! My oldest is picky and he enjoyed the taste of their chicken and carnitas. Their variety of salsas was nice to experience! We had the Agua de Jamaica and was refreshingly sweet. We definitely are excited to come back! We got to enjoy a good game in their Televisions and the environment was welcoming and

Tacos are so worth it! Highly recommend asada, cabeza and tripa. Was surprised at the price but when you see the portions and quality. The salsa are all good but tend to on the spicy side. Personally I prefer it. Will return!

So we checked Yelp for the next best thing nearby and found the "Sunny Side Kitchen". I'm not a vegetarian, but my Vegan Panini (with a pickle slice and fresh fruit cup on the side) was wonderful. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

Their coffee tends towards a brighter, citric flavor that reminds me very much of cold brew. Which I don't care for. But others might! Parking can be rough if downtown is busy, but only if you're adamant about needing to be very close for mobility reasons etc. Otherwise you can usually find something walkable. The location has a pretty extensive menu written in chalk on the walk, and it's easy to read. There are choices of sandwiches, salads and a lot of great food in-between. After taking a minute to decide we went with the Southwest Chicken Salad ($16.99) as well as the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) with a side of hushpuppies. The sauce on the salad was flavorful with just a bit of zest, and they gave us extra so that was really cool. It's a really comfy place to eat with a little bit of a Louisiana feel to it.
