Maybe it's my fault for ordering a breakfast burrito at a taco place, but I also feel like that's one of the simpler menu items to get right, so I was pretty disappointed. I stopped by on my lunch break, and my food came out quickly and was nice and hot, which I appreciated. The inside of the restaurant was decent, although the layout was a little confusing at first because the ordering area felt somewhat blocked off. I also thought the prices were pretty high for what you get. Unfortunately, the burrito itself was a letdown. The cheese tasted off, and the bacon was severely undercooked. It was mostly fatty, raw in places, and I ended up having to pick it apart just to remove all of the bacon. After eating it, my stomach didn't feel great, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, I left pretty unsatisfied. Even though it's called the Taco Bar, we came here for the burritos. I would recommend the shrimp burrito. It's so good. We always leave with satisfied tummies. The staff were so kind. Located in big shopping area off the freeway, easy access and plenty of parking. Order at counter and find a seat. We got their surf and turf, adobada taco, cabeza taco, Burria taco and a corona to share. Everything was quite tasty! The surf and turf was good, not our style we like though, but good meat and good shrimp with flavors. The burrito was a bit wetter with cheese, guacamole and rice. It needed some pico in there, then it'll perfect. Their head taco was good. A bit pricey for tacos but more of a modern place and not hole in the wall. The fried fish taco was very fishy and the batter tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. Second time I ordered burritos and meat was obsolete, mostly rice and beans. Disappointing for $16 burritos. The last few times I had sopes and the meat was warmed under the heat lamp and Sope masa was not made fresh they were premade and hard. Food was good. I got the jalepeno burrito. It has asada, jalepenos, cheese, and a type of green sauce. It was pretty tasty, they offered me a couple limes to go with it. The limes really helped bring out the jalepeno flavor in the burrito. The Carne asada was probably cooked at medium or a little over. Along with the burrito I got a side of habanero onions which are red onions marinated in some sort of juice with habaneros. I tried it on the burrito and it over powered the jalepeno taste which isn't a knock just preference. The habenero onions were great on the side. The service was great, I got my order to go and they brought it out to me where I was sitting, evelyn was so kind. The vibe inside is pretty chill they have a little claw game for kids to play and a bar to sit on or tables, whichever you prefer. They had nice outdoor seating as well.
