Omg incredible HUGE yummy burritos! Shared the shrimp burrito & was packed with shrimp & seasoned so well. Ordered 5 rolled tacos with guacamole and a diet coke and my total was almost $17 which seemed really high. When I got the food, there was a small amount of guacamole and lots of sour cream which I did not ask for. Because of this the guac was hard to taste and the food was just meh. It's sad because we usually love the food here, but lately I've noticed the quality going downhill. My mom just got severe food poisoning after eating here. Thankfully I didn't eat the same food this time, especially since I'm very pregnant and it could have been dangerous for me as well. Her food arrived cold at window, and she mentioned the salsa packet she used tasted sour/off. She became violently ill afterward. We also had a salsa packet left out overnight that literally blew up like a balloon and exploded on our table.. it was foamy and clearly spoiled. Food: generous portions for carne asada fries and amazing shrimp burrito! The shrimp was plump and not overcooked. Would be back again! Service: open 24/7. We came a bit after midnight and there was 1 person in the kitchen and 1 in the front. I saw someone else order ahead through the phone and they didn't have to wait inside. Ambiance: typical tables with bench seats. I don't think the sauce bar was out since it was so late. It was pretty plain and no accessible napkins, but also likely because we came in so late. Look, I had many carne asada fries but no where comes nearly as great as this place. The fries... THE BASE of it and it low key tasted like mcdonalds fries but without the chemically taste if you know what I mean. You gotta add cilantro ( there is a charge but so worth it) and you gotta eat right then and there. (If you take it to go, just re heat it in the air fryer and it's still good) One of the things why I believe its top tier is the fries doesn't taste freezer burn nor the meats, so you know it's fresh or at least it's not expire. I wish we have this place closer to San Clemente but I'm definitely going to try to get it when I come down to hang out with my bestie. Services were really quick since there wasn't a rush when we got there and after our order was ready, the rush came in and I wanna say almost everyone got the carne asada fries so you know it's THAT good. I can imagine after a night out, this place will be hitting that drunkness kind of food cause sober up with fries LOL. I also order a side of rice and beans, beans were alright but the rice was good. And a burrito, hearty and decent size, but I feel like the star of the show is the Carne Asada Fries, please get them and add cilantro if you like cilantro. I've been eating here for many, many years and I've never once been disappointed. The food is always super fresh, delicious, and incredibly quick! Service is usually great too, and it being open 24/7 is such a huge convenience. My go to order is the California burrito and while it's a little pricy, it's SO good. I love adding the green salsa to every bite, but it's spicy! The red salsa is good too, but the green one has my heart. I also love the carne asada fries, but it's a /huge/ portion so I typically only get it when I wanna share. They have great crunchy ice and yummy drinks too! I usually get a coke, but the horchata is super good! My partner is partial to the Jamaica drink, but I wasn't a huge fan. Parking can be a little annoying when it's busy, but it's usually not bad. My Enchiladas tasted like cleaning chemicals. I've been coming to this location for years. Anytime someone enters the building, they can smell the cleaning chemicals, which should be a good thing (we know they're making an effort to sanitize things). Tonight, I went thru the drive thru and ate at home. Unfortunately, when I took my first bite, the taste of the cleaning chemicals was in the food! I'm not sure if they used the chemicals in the vicinity of the prep area or over used them on the prep area, but whatever the case was, the scent/ flavor permeated the food. It was not pleasant. The food is good, but the customer service is very disappointing. The cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn't even put the food in a bag, and when I called to address the issue, instead of helping, she responded in a disrespectful and even insulting manner for not checking the order at that moment. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I've ever had. It's unfortunate that a business with good food loses customers because of the attitude of its staff. Loooove Albertacos. Hands down best Mexican fast food place. Not only are they open 24/7 which is incredible, but the food is top notch. Friends and I have been coming here for the last 15 years and will keep coming back. They underwent new ownership in the last few years, but the food has remained the same. The drive through line is usually long but the service is quick, no matter what time of day. Considering they make the food fresh and have it ready within minutes, it's impressive. The staff is super friendly and they have a salsa bar inside or you can request salsa packets at the window. The restaurant inside is nice as well, although I often drive through. My go to is the rolled tacos and I ask for them soft to bring a different texture. The quesadillas are huge and delicious, the kids meal chicken tenders my daughter loves. Carne Asade fries are a must try, always so fresh. California burrito is perfect and comes with guacamole, cheese, sour cream, fries, and carne asada. 1000/10 spot and will come after every night out + as many times as possible! read more

Sometime back in 1990s this was one of our favorite Mexican Fast Food restaurants. Then, one day we had a really unpleasant eating experience way back when while dining inside. That kept us away for far a long time. Even so, every time our daughter comes down to visit, it's straight to Albertacos for her and her family. They love the food and service. Last year I decided to follow her lead and try the food again, and I was impressed. That is until today. Today I ordered the Chili Relleno Burrito. Ordered two Bacon, breakfast burritos. I placed an order for two plus a side of carrots, was told it was $24.56 and seen I was charged $27.75 via my account. Normally I'm used to them handing me the pin pad and this time I was not. I was not given a receipt as well but I do have the transaction purchase. I hope they have better transparency for over charging customers. I have always been a customer but after this experience I'd rather not come back. Please be careful what you get charged and always ask for a receipt for transparency. 1-10 this time I'm giving a 3. I usually eat about 1 1/2 soft tacos and am satisfied. The tacos were really small. They had yummy guac, cilantro, onion, and salsa verde. The pollo asada taco was not good. The chicken looked like it was pre-packaged white meat thawed from frozen. The flavor was not good - it had a really fishy aftertaste. I was still hungry after finishing the 2 baby tacos for $4/each. They didn't have pickled carrots or a salsa bar. The burritos were listed for $18/plus - yikes. For the cost, I'm not a fan and will not be back.
