We've seen this place for years and finally stopped to try it. Hole in the wall places are always little gems. I am sad to say we were disappointed in the quality of the food. My husband got a pastor burrito....meat was burnt. I got a Chile relleno plate....it was ok, no sauce but the bean and rice tasted like they were day old and reheated, hard rice just not fresh. Carnitas tacos were ok just greasy. Salsas were good!! Really wish it was better because we wanted to try the menudo. Maybe it was just a bad day but at this point, im afraid to try it. I've gone here a few times already and I personally like it a lot. The tacos are great. Every time I've gone it's only one guy there and he does everything from take your order to giving you the food. I have the Carnitas they're fresh and good. I had the Cabeza, which is amazing And I also had the tripas but I do have to say I went yesterday and there was a different cook and the tripas was different, but they were still good. This is literally a small hole in the wall Mexican joint that needs to be on the radar for really good burritos. I rarely come to this side of Chino but today I was there and hungry and the only eatery near was this place. It looks a little sketchy and run down but it was full with happy hungry people and for good reasons too! We ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and the pollo asada burrito. It comes with plenty of green and red homemade salsas which were smoky and delicious with just the right amount of heat! The chorizo was really good and not greasy and all. I loved how it had a homemade feel and no grease with a lot of flavor! Overall, I'd def make the drive across town and down the 71 traffic for a good burrito from here any day. This is an easily overlooked stop along Pine Ave in Chino, but every time I'm in the area for work I make a point to get food here! It's a hole-in-the-wall little restaurant, with some seating and a friendly cashier, and a small but legit menu mainly consisting of tacos and burritos. My go-to is the pollo burrito! They pack in rice, beans, chicken, pico de Gallo, and of course guacamole if you ask for it! And the salsa verde has just the right amount of kick. This not-closed, unassuming little taco stand is happily the closest restaurant to our house. After 10-12 visits, we have decided the carnitas is the best bet. Juicy and flavorful. However, I have much enjoyed the al pastor, buche, and chorizo tacos as well. They also make a nice burrito and some tasty menudo. The ladies inside are very friendly and warm. Parking is somewhat limited and is a dirt lot. The restaurant is next to some dairy farms so it can smell at times. We love grabbing food here during the weekends. The food is delicious and inexpensive. Don't let the "hole in the wall" image fool you. I was skeptial about checking it out, but once I met the owners I was happy I did. I have to agree that I wish it was open a little later on the weekends, but my guess is they cater to a lot of the dairy, prisor workers, etc. during the day. read more
