Next taco stop Pipeye Food Truck on Cota & Milpas! Right in the parking lot of Big Brand Tire. Music blasting and suddenly it feels like a Mexican fiesta... and I'm invited! Lively, casual and the staff greet you with big smiles. Ordered the shrimp taco. Sautéed shrimp topped with shredded cabbage and their special dressing, almost like a fresh coleslaw topping. Lots of garnishes to choose from too. I added the salsa with nopal. Great combo! But what really made the experience was the whole scene: watching fresh tortillas being made, tacos being prepared right in front of you, people coming and going, and Karol G and Bad Bunny playing in the background. The vibe is HIGH! Viva la fiesta! For a moment I felt transported somewhere else... but nope, still local Santa Barbara. And that makes it even more special. Thank you so much!

First time trying this place and definitely not the last time. Just came in to try something and I tried a beef Gordita. It was delicious. Service was fine. Small place with limited seating. I

We came up to Santa Barbara for a late Valentine's Day getaway, and wanted to get a quick bite before heading back down! We found this place highly recommend on Yelp and Reddit so we took the chance! I know I was already going to like this place because both tvs were place soccer and the business is very firm about not welcoming unwanted organizations into their community ( iykyk) The restaurant itself is very quaint with about four tables and a countertop and another two TVs displaying their full menu! We decided to do the four tacos for $12 deal just to try different meats that they had to offer ! We got three Asada, two lamb, one al pastor, one pork belly and one chorizo con papas. We absolutely devoured every taco it was so good! The handmade tortillas and each meat tender and savory! My partner (who doesn't really prefer tacos) was so genuinely impressed that he wanted to order another 4 more. I was so impressed with the tortilla that's i had to go up to the cashier and asked if they sells the tortillas itself and yes they did!! 3 tortillas for $2 which is an absolute steal! ( i bought $10 worth to bring home ^~^) We totally decided to come back to Santa Barbara more often just for this restaurant alone! Thank you staff for making amazing food and stand up for your community ‍

A taco standout on Milpas Street, and that's saying a lot. Four tacos for $12? In this economy? Respect. Especially when they're made with handmade corn tortillas that actually hold up and don't fall apart mid-bite. My regular order includes the barbacoa, chicharrón, mushrooms, and rajas con queso. Solid across the board. The barbacoa con consomé deserves its own shoutout. Rich, comforting, and not overdone. The salsa bar is legit, ranging from mild to spicy with all the proper taco fixings. No sad toppings here. Drinks are on point too with rotating aguas frescas, Mexican bottled sodas, and yes, they've got chelas too. Service is fast, the setup is casual, and it's the kind of place you can hit for a quick lunch or an easy dinner without overthinking it. Bonus points for being friendly to both meat lovers and vegetarians. Milpas has no shortage of tacos, but this spot earns its place in the rotation. No gimmicks, no hype, just good tacos done right.

There was a line when we got there on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm and that took about 20 minutes before we could order. All of us got the triple play which is an order of three tacos any flavor u want. I loved my spicy crispy shrimp and my families choice of carne asada and the battered up. Bahn mi had a tang I didn't love and the grilled fish was fine but not as flavorful as the crispy shrimp and carne asada. My family loved the Gangnam style, crispy shrimp, carne asada and grilled shrimp best. Hard to recommend certain tacos bc everyone has different ideas about what they like but I couldn't get over the crispy shrimp crunch with tender juicy interior. And the carne asada had such strong classic flavors because of their stunningly good guacamole! So of course if u like guac u need to order their guac and chips!

I thought we were at the wrong place as all I saw at first were batting cages. But there was the window to order and the menu boards I saw in all the Yelp photos... and a row of picnic tables next to the cages where you could sit and eat. They've got tacos, burgers, hot dog, but I was here for the tacos. I did the "Triple Play" (3 tacos) and I got Batter Up (fried cod), Ahi Poke, and Grilled Fish. The tacos were flavorful but I felt there was too much of the pico de gallo, aioli, etc. I feel that with really good fish tacos, the fish should be the star, not all the toppings/sauces. I loved the wonton shell for the Ahi Poke but it had way too much wasabi aioli for me that overpowered the fish. My wife enjoyed her tacos but I thought they were decent. I do give them bonus points for the unique set up- I'm a big baseball fan, so I really wished I wore shoes instead of my flip flops so I could get some swings in after my tacos! Next time I'll do that for sure!

As soon as we walked in, the woman working the register seemed visibly annoyed that we had come in before closing and rolled her eyes at us. She immediately said, "Umm, we're closing, so you want to take it to go?" We were already planning on taking our food to go, so the attitude felt completely unnecessary. While we were waiting for our order, another customer walked up to ask her a question, and she continued staring down at her phone and completely ignored her. The woman actually had to say, "Excuse me?" just to get her attention. I completely understand wanting to wrap things up at the end of a shift, but if a business is still open, customers shouldn't be made to feel unwelcome for coming in during posted business hours. We specifically chose this place because of the great reviews, so this was a really disappointing first impression.

They have some dedicated seating for customers but you can sit anywhere in the public market. We got the al pastor ($6.95) and coliflor ($7.95) tacos. The sizes were bigger than normal but I thought they could've used a little salt and the al pastor was a little tough. The sal de mar ceviche ($23.95) could've used more salt and lime but it was still refreshing with the watermelon. For drinks both the passionfruit margarita ($21) and hibiscus margarita ($24) were good. You can ask for their three salsas of varying spice levels. The food and drinks were on the pricier side too but we didn't think the quality matched the price.
