A great place for quality Mexican meal. Quick service and excellent tacos and enchiladas. The kids had ACP.

    Carnitas and aqualand !!!!

No complaints! Maybe a little more spice to the corn app Esquite but, one of the best tacos I've ever had! They start with a small basket of chips and salsa reminiscent of Chilis ( which is known for their chips and salsa) The tacos are hearty and the sauce on the Aqualand....so good! So much carnitas in that one taco on the Norteno !!!! Cute ambiance! Great music! Great staff! Easily one of the best tacos I've ever had. Nothing stake, everything fresh!

This spot was super great. We stopped on our way home and were not disappointed. We were told when we got the menus we will order at the counter when we're ready. We ordered few apps, tacos and a flan. We had too much food for sure but it was all tasty. I got three Mexican style tacos: carnitas, carne asada and pastor and they were all good but the carne was superior. The flan was perfection. It's a quaint spot but it's worth it.

Good portions, run by Señor Eduardo, who brings you the flavors of Guadalajara. Vegetarian Fajita was great. Queso, jalapeño margaritas, salsa, yum! Great atmosphere and service. All family run.

Choripollo had a cheese sauce not melted cheese which I was not expecting

First off staff was very nice. The building last locking up a bit earlier which was a turn off so I decided to order to go instead of eat in. I had the choripollo because it was a Queen Specialty. The item is described as grilled fajita chicken and chorizo topped with melted cheese with side of rice, beans and 3 flour tortillas. What I got was meat tossed cheese sauce which was rather odd and very salty. I definitely would have preferred melted cheese on top as described. I would not order this item again although I would give this place another try and see if they do better with another menu item.

Great tacos, great service, and wonderful people running this cool hole in the wall taco spot!! My family and I will stop in again for sure! I highly recommend the shrimp tacos.

My wife and I were looking for someplace low-key for a quick dinner and we stumbled upon the spot. The low-key, the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered at the counter and they brought it to the table. I decided on a lettuce bowl of Carnitas and other Items while my wife decided on a single taco with Carne Asada. It was brought out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Though low-key, definitely high-quality food!

Hail the Queen, I love this local neighborhood spot! They have great chips & salsa. Everything I've eaten here is excellent.

Taco's Queen is conveniently just off of Interstate 95 on State Road 16. From the road, it is a bit hard to see as it is behind the Tropical Smoothie Cafe and not really visible from State Road 16. Walking in, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who pointed me towards a table, handed me a menu and explained that when I was ready to order, I was to order at the counter. Looking at the menu, I did notice they were a bit expensive. Tacos started at around five dollars and only went up. I went with two tacos. The Queen, which was chicken and cheese, and a chorizo street taco. Before the tip, the total was just over eleven dollars. The tacos were good (not great), but I can't honestly say that they were over eleven dollar for two tacos good. I will say that they had a decent enough meat on them, but I still cannot say that the amount of meat justified the price. As for the ambiance. This place was pretty basic, but it was clean and someone painted a few murals. Again, this was a decent place, but I find it a bit overpriced.

I should start off by saying I am a self-proclaimed Mexican food snob. After living in both Texas…read moreand New Mexico (both of which have slightly different Mexican food), you get a "flavor" you desire when you eat Mexican food "anywhere". Some would argue that it all tastes the same, but to me, it doesn't. Honestly, I think all Mexican food tastes better in any Southwest state/area. But here on the East Coast, you have places that are pretty spot on and close. We have tried our fair share of restaurants, and not all "rice and beans" (for lack of a better term) are equal. Anejo Cocina fits the bill of being pretty darn good, a step above, and the flavors are "there". Always start off with embracing the chips and salsa. They offer them to you; take them...enjoy them!. The chips and salsa always set the stage as to what type of meal awaits. I am happy to report the Chips & Salsa are absolutely delicious here. Moreover, if you're feeling froggy, they have a tad spicier habanero salsa to offer upon request. We have eaten our way around the menu, but I must say, my favorite is always the Chili Relleno. It is always cooked to perfection, and they use the correct cheese. Any meat item you order will be enjoyable; the seasoning is perfect! They have a full bar and happy hour. I'd like to mention they offer pitchers of beer here, which seems to be hard to find these past few years. There is a large parking lot shared by other strip mall businesses; however, there is more than ample parking. It is easy to find and to get in and out of. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The service is always top-notch, and the prices and portions are fair. Anejo Cocina always offers a very inviting atmosphere, and the Mexican Décor is pretty cool.

We recently spent the majority of the day at the River City Wrestling Con at the World Golf Center…read more It's was a blast and we ran out to Anejo Cocina Parkway for lunch since it's at 650 East Twincourt Trail just outside the village on the other side of the exit from Buc-ee's. We had a couple of huge Sangrias then started with the Queso Fundido. There was a TON of chorizo in it as you can see from the photo! After that I had the Birria Burrito, which was also enormous. I liked it a lot but didn't even come close to finishing it on account of the huge-ness. Lauren had the Chicken Chimichanga with shredded chicken. She liked it a lot and also had a hard time getting through just over half of it due to there being just so much of it. We've been to a few other locations but this one is our favorite for some reason. This review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.
