They have an awesome patio area out back where we can enjoy a leisurely breakfast while enjoy the fresh air. The prices have increased over the years (what hasn't?), but the service here is as amazing as always. All the workers here are friendly, happy, and so helpful. They've even brought out dog bowls for Mango. I know MSBC is a chain, but something about this location in St. Augustine stands out to me in particular. I highly recommend. read more

We had planned to go to another place, but it was closed, so we ended up at Maple Street Biscuit Company, and I am glad we did. Their biscuits are top tier. I could not try a lot of the bigger menu items because of how high the calorie counts were, but the biscuits themselves were very good. One sign that a place is good is who you see eating there, and there were police officers in there when we came in. To me, that says the locals and people who know the area trust this spot. We really enjoyed the biscuits. We took some back, reheated them in the air fryer, and they were still excellent. Warm, flaky, and satisfying. This is a great breakfast spot ! This was my first time to at this location and I will say it made a lasting impression ! My friends refused to eat anywhere else and now I see why because the food was absolutely delicious. We came here before the Christmas parade. The best part is the cute & cozy outdoor patio outside. But that's where the good ends. I don't think they were ready for a Saturday crowd. We've never had a good experience at any Maple Street biscuit once they were bought out. We used to visit ALL THE TIME back in the day. We gave it a try one more time for the first time in a few years, but won't make that mistake again. We ordered the biscuit and "spicy" sausage gravy - added bacon. I asked the cashier if it was spicy and she said no, not really - and she was right. I don't do spicy and it didn't have any at all, which I was thankful for - but why label it spicy then? At first my order was rung up with a large side of bacon and not the listed option on the menu item to add it to the meal, so I corrected the cashier. We paid extra to add cheese to the eggs, but as you can see, none was added. We asked for an extra plate a few times but they didn't bring one out so had to go back inside to get one. We ordered an iced coffee, received a hot one - while they did remake it, the "barista" was also the cashier and I felt terrible interrupting a line out the door in order to let her know it wasn't iced as we had ordered and on our receipt. There are not too many chain restaurants in old town St. Augustine, and thats probably a good thing! I think this place fits in just fine, its rustic and has a nice outdoor seating area. We went on a Monday morning and there was no crowd. Staff is super friendly. Very open and airy. Looks really clean and new. You order at the front then they bring you your food. We got the The Squawking Goat and The Five and Dime. Both were outstanding. The Squawking Goat had a little kick to it in the jelly. When you finish you take your dirty dishes to the back. Wow! Tasty biscuits! So good I will return! I forget the names, but... We had (1) the biscuit with chicken, bacon, and maple syrup. Talk about a sweet and savory experience, and (2) the biscuit with chicken, sausage gravy, cheese, egg. The sausage gravy was a little on the spicy side but not bad. Spicey fans would love it. The batter on the chicken was just right. It had the right amount of crunch. It did not taste greasy. The biscuit was also very good. It was not hard nor dry. My meal was wonderful the biscuit was excellent and the chicken was wonderful. I cleaned my plate and looked over at my wife's plate. She too cleaned it up. Friends recommended this great breakfast place and they were spot on! I enjoyed the two tacos and my husband had the biscuit sandwich and they were both wonderful. He also enjoyed the peach tea and loved it so much, he had a second. Krista was wonderful and checked on us several times as we ate but didn't hover, which was perfect. They have fantastic biscuits with chicken, different hash bowls and eggs. I love their cheddar grits or any of the grit options. It's a hardy, yummy, southern spot, right in downtown Saint Augustine. Parking can be hard to come by as it is most of the time in downtown Saint Augustine, however there are a couple of pay lots just in front and to the sides if you don't feel like making the walk. I would advise they don't have the poor girl who is taking orders also being the one to make the drinks and answer the phones. There was no appropriate silverware available and when we communicated that we got a shrug and brushed off. My wife and I stopped in to this breakfast gem on our way from Crescent Beach to see family in Jax. We were hoping for great biscuits, but got so much more. It's been 3 years since I was here and unfortunately a bit disappointed. I remembered this place was pretty cool and had good food so we returned. After waiting in line for 40+ minutes (the line was short too, but the person taking orders was also making everyone's drinks) we got to order. The restaurant was still open for several hours after we arrived but they were out of their cheapest ingredient, potatoes for hash browns. So my wife couldn't get what she was hoping for which sucked. They were also out of cold foam for coffees. I got the cinnamon hazelnut latte and it's good but very cinnamony. I ordered the sticky maple and thought it was pretty good. She ended up getting 'the farmer' and it was flooded with what they call house made apple butter, but it looked like slightly browned apple sauce and it was drenched in it. Looked unappetizing and she didn't care for it. Staff weren't as pleasant as we remember. Inside seating area is still nice. They still have a fun way of assigning names to orders. This was a disappointment. I saw several reviews praising the chicken biscuits, so we tried two versions--the maple bacon and the apple butter cheese. First of all, the biscuits were overcooked and not fresh. My husband commented that he was afraid of cracking a tooth--a joke, but still....The chicken had so much seasoning, I couldn't taste anything else. The bacon tasted like country ham. Fantastic find! The food and staff here were phenomenal. We stopped by in the late morning for a casual brunch. The chicken pimento sandwich was absolutely amazing. The flavor of the pimento cheese spread with the hot honey chicken all on one of their biscuits hit the spot. The 2 taco bundle also was amazing.
