Ambiance: Spacious, Tables and chairs were painted with Mexico folkloric characters Service: A little on the slow side. Took me and my bff awhile to get seated. When the girl gestured for us to get seated, she didn't tell us she was seating us, just had the people before us follow her and expected us to follow her. When food came out, my bff was not provided with a spoon for his menudo and I was not provided with a knife to eat my chicken mole which came with whole chicken instead of shredded chicken. Food: Corn Tortillas were delicious- they were white so might have been flour. Chips n Salsa- Not spicy enough for me. Mole- It was very flavorful. I prefer shredded chicken and they gave me whole chicken breast and drumstick on the bone. The whole chicken was cooked very well though.

I love Tacos TJs. I'll start with that. I considered giving 4 stars, to be honest, but lately... they haven't let me down. In the past, it was pretty inconsistent. The last 5-10 visits (I've been here plentttty of times) they've done me proud so I think they deserve the 5 now. Surpringly, I have yet to try their breakfast or their seafood... shameful, I know. But every time I go, I just alwaysss want their tacos! Sometimes I'll throw in a cheese enchilada, a la carte...but it's always Asada tacos or Chorizo for me (everything on it aka onions and cilantro). I like to put both red and green salsa on my tacos, as well as the avocado salsa, and a nice squeeze of the lime. If my sister is with me, she usually orders extra blocks of queso, so sometimes I'll throw that on the tacos as well. Depending how hungry-- I'll go with 3 or 4, or if I decide to get beans and rice that's a deciding factor as well. I love their beans and rice. They also give you chips and salsa while you wait. Good, mild salsa... sometimes it has a kick. Always appreciate good chips and salsa, especially if they're free. If not water, a nice crisp coke always hits the spot. I don't get it often but when I do... man, their Micheladas are literally the best. We've gotten them with both Corona and Modelo before... both delish. I think it's the lime+clamato ratio they use that's just perfection! Plus, the extra garnishes... the shrimp, cucumber, and celery... yum! If you've never tried, you should. It's huge though so be prepared! I'm not a beer person whatsoever... but I will go for a good Miche any day. The staff is nice, and pretty quick. The vibes are cool. Love when people play music on the jukebox that they have available in there. Sometimes they even have folks in there playing live music. Only thing I would say I don't care much for is how loud it is sometimes (is that the age talking?) and also when they allow the solicitors to come around our table asking if we'd like to buy whatever it is they're selling. It's a first come first serve type of deal. I've never actually ever tried making reservations so can't help ya on that info if they do that or not... sometimes there are bums outside but they've never bothered me. If that doesn't scare you away, you're in for some good food! :)

Wow, Tis is best tacos de Tripa I ever had and my wife said this is the best chicken burrito she ever had. The reason I came in to try the food is because the parking lot was packed. So I figured the food is good. I'm glad I did. Must try

The food here is delicious from the chilaquiles to the chili verde. I had the chilaquiles with the eggs on the side and the eggs were cooked perfect the beans taste just like the ones my mom makes at home. Going here reminds me of being with my family the service is great the waitress is always making sure everything is good and they're always so welcoming. The place is so clean and feels like you're visiting family. Before I forget the michelada 10000/10 the best one I ever had.

These are the best tacos I have had in a while! The tortillas are hand made and the seasoning of the meats are great! The side vegetables are fresh and the drinks are authentic augas frescas. The waitresses are very sweet and nice. They're attentive and respectful. You can tell it's a good place by how full it is! What's good is the wait isn't long :) Will return

My favorite Tacos Tijuana! They're always quick and ready for us to be helped. I've gone just with a table of two or even a table of 21, they are ready for us! My food is always amazing. They make sure everything is perfect and if something isn't how we asked for it they make sure to fix it. It's always busy at any time of the day but always worth it!

food: 10/10 epic!!! service: 10/10 excellent. ambience: 9/10 the ambience is almost always at least a 9/10 however the environment may at times be may be extra loud and/ or hectic likely due to an almost surplus in customers likely due to their great food. therefore, if you're looking for a quiet dinner this may not be your place. parking: highly limited authentic mexican food. 10/10 recommend.

I've been taking the kids here for years and it never disappoints The kids really love their taco plate and I would definitely recommend the grilled shrimp plate

Chicken enchilada plate

Great food, polite service, and a lively atmosphere around dinnertime. Visited with the family on a Saturday night and it was crowded! Make sure you come early for dinner since the parking lot fills up quickly. I had the chicken enchilada plate while wife and daughter had tacos. The enchiladas were pretty good, the flavor of the sauce held up against the meat. The rice was a little bland, but the refried beans helped out. My wife enjoyed her tacos and thought the same about the sides. Our daughter fell asleep before the food came, but after eating her taco the next day she was asking for more the following days! Only knock would be the vendors roaming the dining room to sell things, but this was otherwise a good experience. Will certainly be coming back for more!

I would like to specify I am referring to the Blackstone and Ashlan location. The reason I am giving 3 stars is for the customer service only. The food arrived at different times so some of us were watching, while others were eating. The food was cold. The chips and the tortilla were stale. The food has definitely gone down hill. I don't believe I'll be coming up.

This is my 2nd here. My brother-in-law isn't feeling well so this restaurant was suggested, by teachers from a nearby school, to get their chicken soup. It cost $19.03 and includes your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I think I found a great place for delicious soup!

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

This place is officially bookmarked for every future drive through Fresno!…read more The lengua and chicharrón tacos were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

Miguel sells his auntenthic mexican food and Lisa sells her favorite sweet treats. By far on the market, they sell pretty bomb salsa! It's not like the generic salsa from store bought one, it's just like the unique homemade family recipes. And trust me, these are not as supper vinegary. I love Miguel's salsa! Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. SERVICE :: I love Miguel's service! He personally serves you and greet you there. He offered me free chips and salsa while i wait. They were quiet busy but get things done quickly too. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. It's well seasoned, unique, and full of flavor. The asada is something that I've never tasted before. It's very herby, well seasoned to taste, juicy and tender! RATE : 5/5 TACOS DORADOS ($4.49) :: The tacos dorados were something different from what I've had before and were absolutely delicious. This taco reminds me of birria. The texture and flavor were also amazing. I asked for pork, it was supper moist, tender and juicy full of flavors. The cotija cheese brings a nice dry and light cheesy taste to it. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. RATE : 2/5 NOTE : Spend anything above $50, get a $5 dollar off voucher for the next purchase. OVERALL :: Overall, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out! Don't forget his salsas, he do sell them on the side. I'll definitely go back for more and try his other menu!

It's not the most aesthetic restaurant but... it's on the corner of Blackstone & Dakota-- lol I didn't expect it to be. Friendly staff. Great chefs. Service is always good/quick. We've never waited long to have our orders taken or to receive our food. Now... those enchiladas! They're the closest thing to the type of enchiladas my best friend's mama makes (she's from Michoacan)-- she makes the best, most authentic Mexican food! SO, when I can't get them from her... I know where to go. They are cheese enchiladas-- served with lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, and sour cream.. sprinkled with cotija cheese. They also come with some bomb potatoes and your choice of chicken or steak-- we always go steak. Sooo good and the flavors are always on point! + They give complimentary chips and salsa-- very good. We use that same salsa for the enchis. Pair it with a crisp coke, chef's kiss! If it wasn't obvious, it's a yes from me. This little hole-in-the-wall family-run business needs more recognition!
