If your looking for a traditional Mexican spot that serves up AMAZING FOOD, than don't look any further! After passing this place on my way to work, I looked them up on Yelp and saw the good reviews. I took that as a good sign and came on in for breakfast. BOY WAS I IN FOR A TREAT. Went with the Chorizo and eggs and this dish was flavorful, authentic, and overall just such a good breakfast. My co worker went with the chicken fluatas and she loved them. Overall we rated our food a 10/10, just outstanding. Just an FYI they get super busy for lunch and they only have about 6 tables inside. They serve up breakfast and lunch and close early so just be sure you check out their hours if you plan on coming by. But don't sleep on this place, you won't regret coming by. Came here for breakfast and asked the server if the downtown location was still open, only to find out that the owners of Las Mananitas moved, the downtown location is closed, and this restaurant is under new ownership. This is now Gilberto's Taqueria! Just wanted to give a shoutout to Las Mananitas as I had not given them a review. They had the best chilaquiles and was worth the drive from north Fresno. The dude and I came to Las Mananitas on 7/30/22 as Country Fare Cafe was closed for the weekend due to vacation so I remembered a lot of locals raves about this place for their FAMOUS Chilaquiles. We arrived around 10am and the line was out the door! So we knew this place was it as you had everyone here !!! It's not the best side of town and when you see someone in a Telsa roll up you know we made it to the right spot. Just be careful as there was a lot stray dogs roaming around the area. There was a little wait and my goodness it smelled delicious inside!!! The place is VERY inside so I would definitely take to go as a lot of people stand in line while everyone was eating. The dude ordered the Chicken Flautas which was delicious like really good!! Absolutely would get it again!!! I got the Chile Verde Chilaquiles with red sauce one of the best dishes - best BREAKFAST dish in my life soooo delicious! The dude also got the Carnitas burrito which was tasty but a little dry but they had green sauce on the side that complimented well. The staff was very friendly! And even complimented me on my style which really nice! Who doesn't like a nice compliment!!! So the hospitality was lovely. The only negative was that the Horchata was fake and but it was drinkable. I was recommended this place by a friend who said this place has one of the best chilaquiles around. So on a nice Sunday, I brought my wife who is very particular with her Mexican food. She's Mexican and her mother was a person who cooked for the neighborhood and people respected her cooking. This place I was hoping that it could have been, but it wasn't. I have personally had chilaquiles at a couple other places and I honestly would go back to those other places before coming back here. I understand that Chilaquiles is supposed to be a poor man's food. It is tortilla chips topped with a little bit of choice meats, cheese, and an egg. This plate costed me $16.63 and in addition because I asked to try their red sauce and green sauce, I would told that I would be charged for a second plate which sounded like I would get a 2nd plate. That did not happen. The I ordered a chile relleno and the cheese inside was cold. Though queso fresco, the cheese was still cold. Now I will say the flavors are really good and my wife was happy with the flavor also but we cannot support the price being charged. In my photos you will see exactly what I order and the receipt is exactly what I paid for this meal. I would recommend this place because of the flavor but I would give a warning about the price. You will see one plate only with 2 different color sauces and I was charged an extra $13 for just have 2 different sauce. I wish that it would have been disclosed to us, because at $13 I could've ordered another chilaquiles for $16. read more

We have been here multiple times for their breakfast burritos. They are really good and tasty - the breakfast burritos come with your choice of meat, eggs, cheese, and hash browns. The proportions of the burritos are wonderful and I think that their breakfast items are strong - they also have huevos rancheros and chilaques among other breakfast items. However, if you are getting a plate with a lot of sauce to-go, be sure to get it on the side if you don't want your food soggy by the time you get home. The hash browns they use in their breakfast burritos is the best part about their burrito -- it stays crispy even with a 10-20 minute ride home. I would have given this place 5 stars easily based on their breakfast items only. However, I did order a vegetable quesadilla here once and got pretty bad food poisoning. I'm guessing many people do not order vegetarian items here, but I would not do that again here because the food poisoning was pretty bad. However, their other breakfast dishes are excellent. They could be a little bit more flexible though, however, since they charge extra to substitute things like chicken instead of bacon or chorizo in a breakfast burrito, which was kind of confusing to me because chicken is usually not as expensive as the ladder things, but according to them, it is. Still one of the best places for breakfast burritos around town, though. read more

We recently took a little road trip from LA to Sequoia National Park to Yosemite National Park and needed some fuel for our bellies during the drive. Las Mananitas was an excellent stop for breakfast! I got the huevos rancheros because, as Gene Belcher has stated, "Those are the best kinds of huevos!" I couldn't help myself when I saw it on the menu, hearing Gene's voice in my head! The eggs were on point, and the veggies were cooked perfectly. I only wished there were more veggies! We were surprised to see how juicy the dish was, though, as there was a pool of liquid on the bottom of the box. Every bite came with sauce dripping everywhere, so try to stay clean! Additionally, It came with sides of potatoes and refried beans, and both were so tasty! The overall dish was a decent portion, not too filling and not leaving me hungry at the end. The chilaquiles were solid as well. The flavour was good, the dish was filling for my lady (she couldn't finish it), and everything tasted fresh! Refried beans was a side item again, and it was just as delicious. Although I loved how it all tasted, I would certainly only get this menu item as a snack, as it didn't seem very filling for my own appetite. Even though this place is small with a parking lot that is tantamount, it won't be hard to find because of all the customers standing outside either waiting for food or waiting to be sat! The place had only been open for a few minutes when we arrived, but the line was legit! There are a few small tables (maybe 4?) for indoor dining and 2 small tables in front of the store. Their signature chilaquilies deluxe is also a noteworthy dish. I tried it with chorizo (Mexican sausage) and would recommend it with any breakfast plate. Moreover, shredded cabbage can be tossed in the burritos at your request or their suggestion. It adds a nice twist, giving it some crunch. It gave my carne asada burrito another dimension. The meat was cooked clean, flavorful and not oily. The fish taco is hearty-sized, filled with beer battered bass. Awesome salsas (both the red and the green) - not that much heat but oozing with zesty flavors to really amp the taste to your dishes - is "icing-on-the-cake." My husband got a carnitas torta and two carnitas tacos. The tacos were on point, meat was tender and flavorful. He only said that he personally don't like lettuce in the torta. It I told him, not everyone makes tortas the same. My daughter got menudo. She was enjoying it all to the end. She said very good lanudo mom! We will visit them again. This was our second time here because we don't come to this side of town often. It was a little scary since we kept seeing people walking on the sidewalk with trash bags, one guy was pushing a lawn mower in the street, another guy holding a tree trimmer, but they weren't together and a lot of homeless people. As we approach the tiny restaurant, we noticed 4 tables with chairs outside.. they were offering dine in and outside dining that was covered by a patio canopy. We were greeted by the two men in the front. The shop was very stuffy and warm. We decided to eat outside, I cleaned off the table we were sitting at. Our food was brought out shortly. We didn't get silverware and didn't get napkins. My husband had to ask for them when he went back inside. The bathroom was clean (no trash on the ground) but needs an upgrade. Food was delicious. My daughter and I both got the chorizo breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the El Diablito again. From a previous visit, I order the Chilaquiles, that was really good too but too salty for me. The serving size of our food was a generous portion. We only ate half or a little more than half of our food. We ordered the cucumber limeade and it was very refreshing. The horchata was good too, but it had tiny pieces of something hard (rice??) at the bottom of the cup. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back if we are on this side of town. read more

We were in town visiting when a friend had recommended this spot. They said the chilaquiles were really good. The parking lot had parking the dining area is small and was full so we ordered to go. After about a 15 minute wait we got our food which was fast considering the amount of orders it looked like they had. The cashier was very friendly and very helpful. COVID-19 update. Went to breakfast with mom and son and had a lovely experience. Las Mananitas has set out tables under a canopy with bamboo "walls" in the parking lot in front of their front door. You still go in to order and pay. I was afraid service wouldn't be as prompt. And I was wrong! They checked on us often, drinks and food came out promptly. There were two other patrons while we were there and everyone received good food and service from what I could tell. The owners are friendly and make you feel welcome. Everyone was masked and wore gloves. Our food was also really good. But I learned again to just stick with my favorites- I ordered the chile verde omelette and it was good but I kept wished I'd also gotten a bowl of albondigas lol I could write a paragraph about their coffee it's so delicious. I know the next time I have to go to the office, I will detour to this place for a cup to go. It's typical Mexican coffee brewed with cinnamon stick(s) but it's strong and they must make it with filtered water; you can tell the difference. Coffee lovers, you need to try this coffee. We didn't put any sugar or cream in it. Ok I'll stop. Anyway I highly recommend this place during COVID restrictions, we felt very safe.
