    $3.50 chips and queso
    Teresa M.

On approach, the aroma drew us in. The music and artwork almost made us forget we were in North Dakota and not grabbing street food in Mexico... the view from the huge windows reminded us it was actually -20 degrees with mountains of snow. We grabbed 2 tacos each and split an order of chips and queso. $17 after the tip. The staff were friendly and helpful. To the right of the till is a self-serve topping bar. They will Americanize your food on request (add lettuce and sour cream) The chips are straight from the bag, so go in knowing that you won't be getting fresh/warm chips. The queso had a lovely flavor, and just enough heat to let you know it wasn't just warmed cheese. All in all, I'll probably skip them next time I come in. Which brings me to the fact that I will be back! The corn tortillas for the tacos were perfect- thick enough to take the piled on meat, touch of sauce, onions and cilantro (purist) They didn't crack or get soggy and they weren't dry either. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful- I was tasting the meat, not the heat. The spicy guacamole was a fabulous accompaniment. Next time I'm in, I'll make a point of having a full meal, even tho the barbacoa tacos already have my heart (& stomach)

Wow - this little place is awesome. I wanted to try one of everything but settled on a Al Pastor taco and the steak Alambres. I was happy to see the taco come out just like God meant them to be....seasoned, marinated pork. pepper and roasted pineapple. Too many places ruin a great al pastor with the americanized toppings like lettuce and cheese. The taco was presented in an amazing corn tortilla. It looked so great I even forgot to take a photo. The taste was as amazing as the look. While I doubt the pork was actually prepared on a rotisserie, it was still amazing and not simply prepared on a stovetop. These truly are the kind of tacos you would buy off the street in central Mexico. The alambres were also top notch, especially thanks to the awesome salsa bar which included an incredible habanero salsa....ooooo, love the burn. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked and peppers had just enough crunch left. The corn tortillas are served on the side which is so much better than underneath the alambres which many places seem to do. I prefer one in my hand to eat with the food, not a soggy one underneath. To top it all off the owner came out as I was finishing and gave me a free slice of a jello mold. Perfect finish. The only thing that would make this place any better was the presence of some ice cold bottles of Sidral Mundet, Lift or Jarritos.

In town for a meeting and was looking for a quick place to grab some take out. After checking on Yelp for reviews, I decided that Tacos Trompo might be a good bet. The restaurant was very easy to find. With the weather and roads being a bit cold and icy there were not too many people there. However, the dishes that I saw people eating looked really good. I decided on the enchiladas de rojo w/ chicken and cheese. The service was very prompt and they got my order completely correct (I left off sour cream and onions). The food was really good for being made so quickly. The enchiladas came with rice and my choice of black beans or pintos. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for cheap and quick Mexican fare.

Excellent authentic Mexican food! I so dearly missed having al pastor tacos in Texas and was delighted to find that this place existed! Very clean restaurant, fresh food and you can actually see the food/kitchen being handled. Highly recommend!

Great food. The prices are bit high for what they are serving. However, the food is fantastic so it's worth a few extra dollars.

There were a few things that happened on this visit that if corrected I think could have made it a five star experience. We arrived with a party of 5 and two kids. One not old enough to eat and one about 4. We waited a bit longer at the front than was expected, with people noting us but no one coming to help -- and this may be them being short staffed. When we got staff they didn't ask about a chair for the kiddo or booster seat (we considered the former but made a chair work). They had no coloring or activity book for the kids to do, which was hard. They had TVs which semi helped but we were far from them. We ordered and two of us are dairy free and one is gluten free. When ordering the shrimp tacos they arrived with no cheese but the sauce on top was not written on the menu that it was on there and our server did not inform us even after hearing no dairy. This was easily preventable and a little frustrating but overall something a person with allergies is used to. She did get our meals remade quickly and without dairy which was super nice. Diana was kind and also extremely diligent about waters, dishes and refills. She also ordered our kids meal immediately which was helpful and answered questioned we had. I will definitely be back without kiddos to because the tacos were so good, the sauce that came on the side of the shrimp tacos was spicy, yet flavorful.

Well how this can be 4 stars is questionable to me. Not even close to being authentic. Just to get…read morea guacamole added to your meal you have to buy the $11 bowl. The chips were cold and honestly tasted like cornflakes and the salsa was just runny tomato sauce with a little spice and cilantro. Menu was limited. Main meal was unfortunately anything special. Won't be coming back. Service was alright. Music was WAY TOO LOUD!

The servers were really friendly even with juggling over 25 people across several tables. I forgot to take pictures, but the queso Uno and chips are definitely worth ordering along with a tasty frozen margarita. My son had the steak fajitas and they were good, his only feedback being that the onions were not as cooked as you would expect so they were more like raw versus grilled. I had the grilled burrito with shredded beef and it was amazing! It was a generous portion of meat with lettuce and pico and cheese and beans and nice fresh ingredients, wrapped up in a big tortilla and then nicely grilled until crispy on all sides - so good and not covered in sauce and not fried, just fresh and hot.

The cook and no supervisor came to our table to inquire about our meal after the waitress told them. I did leave my phone number. I was so disappointed that Paridiso did not take the time to be bothered about a customer expressing the condition of the meal. I and my husband both have tasted better MRE's in the service.
