I used to love this place back in the day but now if you order a carne asada burrito you basically end up with a bean and rice burrito. The grey haired man got a giant tortilla put a tiny bit of cheese on the tortilla for a dollar more which they ripped me off then proceeds to put two big heapings of beans then one giant scoop of rice then he gets out a smaller spoon the puts only half the spoon with meat then he gets a big ass hand full of onions and cilantro and throws a spoon full of chili on it then rolls it up with a pack of salt and Armando called my number then I told him I'm not gonna pay you for that and he refused to give me back my money so after I threatened to call the cops on them when after talking shit about me in Spanish which I know asshole to the other grey haired guy to reopen the bean burrito and put a scoop of meat in it then he basically threw it at me so screw this place never again. read more

Just your average hole in the wall Mexican joint. But usually the hole in the wall places are the better ones. Not this one. Had a carnitas burrito and a carne asada taco. The portions were very small for an $11 meal. I don't even eat fast but was done within 3 mins. Both red and green salsa were tasty. More on the spicy side which I liked. But the only word I could use to describe it is, whatever. Just very whatever. At least they had some arcade games in the corner but they weren't even on. Carne asada fries are the best you can get in San Bernadino area. The fries are crisp and the asada is perfectly sliced atop cheese, beans, and some sort of sauce. On top they put fresh sliced avocado. It's very tasty and great portion for 1 person. read more

Well Idk about all that being the bestplace ever but the food is good and the service is fair. Just DO NOT ask for a burger with grilled onions. I ordered one one time and it was so disgusting the bottom bun where they put the onions on top of was so greasy that it turn the bun soggy it was inedible, the bun was so greasy that it was dripping oil. They could have at least drain the oil off the onions before putting it on my bun. Ordered a Dormilon burrito with tripas which is an extra $4.00. Which is ok I understand. I told them no beans. Not the best first impression of this place. This was my first visit to Tacos Unicos, and it will probably my last. I give them credit for preparing the food fresh. The food itself was okay, not the worst meal I've had. There a few factors that has put me off from this establishment. 1. There is a .50 cent fee added on to your bill should you wish to use your debit card. 2. They charge for refills 3. They do not wear gloves when preparing your food 4. They charge for any extras that are usually free at just about any other Mexican restaurant (chiles torreados, salsa, taco fixings) 5. There is no salsa bar, whatever they have is in their prep station and if you want extra salsa you need to pay extra. How do you expect someone to pay for a salsa they've never tried? read more

I have been going to Tacos Unicos since I was 10 years old. It's nice to see a couple of the same guys working there. And the food has not changed! I now bring my 10 year old and 8 year old daughters there and we love their food. We always order carne asada burritos and carne asada fries and let me tell you that no other place makes them as delicious as them! Only thing I will say for those who are reading this is if you do not like really spicy food. Tell them no salsa on the burrito or fries and just get green sauce on the side because it is so hot it will take over your taste buds! Only thing bad I can think of is the location. I live right across the way so I know it's a bad area but I still give them 5 star rating and will still go there because the food is so worth it. read more
