    My bowl.

I had a great experience here. I recently had major dental work done, so I can't chew very well right now. I asked if they could cut my meat into much smaller pieces, and they happily took it back and sliced it even more for me. It probably held up the line a bit, but they never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. That level of customer service really meant a lot. I ordered a bowl with rice, beans, and al pastor. Because of my current situation, I couldn't eat all of the toppings, so I wasn't able to enjoy it the way it was intended. That wasn't the restaurant's fault at all. What I was able to eat was good, and thanks to their kindness, I was actually able to enjoy my meal with very little chewing. Great customer service goes a long way, and they definitely earned my five-star review. Thank you for taking the extra time to help me.

Tip: stop in after 12 better around 2 pm to avoid the crowds. Set up is like chipotle for Mexican Cuisine . First decide if you want a burrito or a plate , pick your carbs rice , beans and protein choice of 7 different types of meat options. Next decide on which sides corn, salsa , cucumber, cilantro etc. then choose a sauce , green , red or guacamole . Lastly a choice of salads . They are not stingy here , it's piled on high . The 3 plates I ordered were shared amongst my self and the kids. Its portions were huge and definitely worth sharing. 4 star due to each bite had tough texture of meat . I had to spit out 3x , the meat were so tough I can't chew . My daughter had the same Baqba beef and hers were fine .

    Humongous chicken burrito.

I was in the area so decided to check this place out. Same concept as Chipotle but heard it was better. There was a line when I went but it moved fast. The huge flour tortillas are made to order and you can watch them cook them fresh. Can't beat a freshly made tortilla for a burrito. I chose chicken for my protein along with toppings of grilled vegetables, brown rice, both pinto and black beans, jalapeños, corn, onion, cilantro, pico and green salsa, and pineapple. It made for a humongous burrito which almost didn't close. The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful. The rest of the toppings were fresh and good tasting. All in all, a very large burrito which is large enough to share or have for several meals. I will probably come back to try the arrachera next time since that appears to be very popular. Service was very fast, friendly, and efficient.

A good way to describe this place is it's like chipotle, but better, authentic, and everything is freshly made. Found out about Baqba from Instagram, as it has gone quite viral. I just had no idea their location was in the Renaissance! Baqba is always packed and it can be difficult to find parking. We got in line which was out the door! It is always busy and everyone is always coming in and out. The line did move quickly. You can see the staff making freshly made tortillas for burritos and cooking in the back. I ordered a bowl with birra, white rice, pinto beans, jalapeños, salsa, sour cream, onion, tomato, and cilantro. Additional meat/toppings cost extra. We were in and out pretty quickly, considering the line. There are a couple of tables inside and out. It was good! I will definitely be back. The hype is worth it.

This place reminds me of the food trucks from the '90s, and I mean that in the best way. Back when food trucks were packed with Hispanics/Latinos pumping out great food that reminded you of home. This was before certain people in Southern California complained and got the food trucks shut down, only to reopen them a few years later with shitty food and call it "gourmet." The staff is friendly. Honestly, they're all working hard like a well-tuned machine that's churning out amazing food. The place itself is clean, and that freaking matters. I appreciate a clean joint. Now for the food... I ordered a chicken burrito. When I unwrapped that burrito, it was huge and glorious. It was like the first time I saw my Chicana wife's butt, it brought tears to my eyes. It was about one and a half times the size of a Chipotle burrito. The flavor... the flavor was truly amazing. The chicken was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, with a slight smoky flavor and a light peppery finish. The toppings for the burrito were great too, with plenty to choose from. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla. That bad boy was huge and packed with chicken and veggies. My wife's bowl was loaded with so much chicken that she couldn't finish it. The beans and rice were juicy and flavorful as well. Also, their tortillas are fresh and made right on the spot. Overall, this joint is dope. It reminds me of a '90s Mexican spot. It's packed with friendly staff, and they have BOGO deals before 5 p.m. I'll definitely be coming back. I want Baqba to know they'll be contributing to me becoming diabetic... but it's worth it.

Came in here to try a new place! For it being a basic entry Mexican food takeout, it was actually very tasty. I would only give take away half star for the room inside the store because it's very very small but they do have tables outside to eat. Otherwise they get a complete five. You have many options to choose from - you can order burritos, bowls, tacos, etc. My choice was Carne Asada with whole beans & brown rice and it was actually very good. I added creamy guacamole, pico de gallo, sautéed vegetables, sour cream cheese. They have a variety of fixings to add to the entree choice. It is like an assembly line like Subway... I would recommend trying this place in the Rialto marketplace shopping center. It's right off Renaissance on the southside near Yogurtland.

I pulled up around 11:30 thinking I beat the lunch rush but nah lol , line was out the door. The line moved quick though! I got a burrito with al pastor and a bowl with their baqba steak. The burrito was massive, I have no idea how they managed to roll it up their sauces were good too, red is definitely spicier than the green. Definitely coming back here , just for the portion sizes

Carne asada burrito. It's gigantic !

This place is busy! Expect a line no matter what time you come here. They give pretty quick service so the line moves at a decent pace. The flavor of their food is great and they give MASSIVE portions. There's very little seating inside but there are a few tables a Ming a wall with some art/slogans on it... they have a couple patio tables on the sidewalk outside their doors.

Our first time here. The line was not bad at all. Super small location. The portion is big. I didn't like the rice at all. The meat didn't have flavor. I was not impressed. Excellent customer service from the beginning of the line to the end excellent customer service.

Outstanding service and huge, delicious portions -- highly recommend! Customer service was 10/10 -- friendly, attentive, and fast. Food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes are amazing (great value). Will definitely be back!

Finally had the chance to try this spot! Thanks to TikTok and Instagram! Small location and had a line. FYI be prepared to wait. Same concept of chipotle but definitely way better and the portions are insane. I ordered an Arrachera bowl and I couldn't finish it with the amount that they give. Good flavor with every bite!! They have a variety of meat options. They even have Birria!!! Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu! The seating inside is limited as well as the outdoor seating. One of the workers by the name Yalissa was friendly and attentive. Hopefully they can open one in Jurupa Valley or the Chino area!

This place first popped up on my radar when it was described as a 'more authentic' version of popular chain where you get to order Mexican food in a conveyer, fast casual type of way. And for the record, I am a fan of the referenced chain, but I am also a fan of authenticity, so I knew I had to come here at some point. I stopped by off the freeway while returning from a trip up to Big Bear and this place is conveniently located not too far away from the exit. As soon as I walked up, it definitely had the same vibe and feeling where you get in line and you wait to order your main and which form you want it in. The service here is very friendly. I thought I'd beat the dinner crowd by a little bit, but it was already pretty packed. I ordered the Steak Arrachera in the form of a bowl. I added my usual toppings that I do at the other place so it's pretty similar. I do have to say the steak was delicious. If anything, the food is little more well seasoned here. I'm a fan! It's also very reasonably priced compared to other similar places these days There's plenty of parking in the lot, but this place is pretty high traffic with the amount of retail stores and other restaurants in the area

Bottom pieces were soggy from sitting in the grease by the time I got home to eat it.

I've been here many times before when they first opened, and unfortunately, I don't feel like it's quite as great as it used to be. In my opinion, the portions seem noticeably smaller than they were before, which was a little disappointing. I got the Baqba steak in my quesadilla and it was so salty and overly greasy. I only had one piece that was cut for me and could barely finish it because it was so salty and greasy. I don't see myself finishing the rest and likely won't come back again for awhile. I also noticed a lot of new faces of staff members , and the hospitality just isn't what I remember. The ladies were a little more welcoming and attentive, while the guys seemed uninterested and not as friendly. One other thing I noticed was being charged an extra $0.50 for doing half-and-half meat, even though both meat options were the same price. I don't mind paying an additional charge if that's the policy, but I think it should be clearly noted on the menu so customers know ahead of time rather than seeing the extra charge when paying. This place used to be a 5/5 for me, but the experience today is much less. I hope they can bring back some of the quality, portions, and hospitality that made the place stand out when it first opened.

This place is located in strip mall out in Rialto. As soon as I walked in, I can tell this place was a chill place to eat with very friendly people serving you. I was really excited to sit down and order. I ended up getting the #9 (or #5? It's been a while and they're similar). Either way, this order gives you a good sample of a lot what they have to offer. If the #9, it comes with a panucho, a salbute, a polcan, an empanada de carne, a taco de cochinita de pibil, and a taco relleno. The amazing flavors and textures. I was like a kid in a candy store with this meal. Everything was delicious all washed down with the Modelo. It's a little far for me, but definitely would love to stop by again if I'm in the area or driving through.

Long review but I think it's important to say what needs to be said:…read more THE SHORT VERSION; First time visiting this place since reviews were generally good and it's truly something special to see a restaurant specializing in Yucatecan food only. The food was different than your standard Mexican offering and overall very good, good seasoning and portions. Pricing was not out of what would be expected for quality Mexican food. The service, unfortunately, was half baked, which is really sad for me to see as a staunch supporter of local, immigrant owned businesses and being a child of immigrants myself and knowing how much hard work is involved in maintaining a business alive. THE LONGER VERSION; It was apparent that the waitress that served us during our visit could not only benefit from more training in offering (and caring to offer) a better customer service experience / better table side communication but also needs to make the connection about how her actions affect the livelihood of a business that others have undoubtedly worked very hard for. But, I guess this assumes she wants to genuinely work there. To begin with, my party was greeted by a poorly delivered and off putting joke about making sure she served us lots of alcohol; delivered in a way that in Spanish is known as "ser llevado" or overly familiar. Odd to make jokes like that when you just met someone visiting your business for the first time, but we passed it off as just a poor attempt to connect. Fine, we moved on. The music was extremely loud. When we asked if it could be lowered somewhat, she lowered the volume from an 11 to a 2, which then made the ask not only awkward but almost passive aggressive. (I only say this because once we left, we heard the volume quickly go back to 11, as if they were just waiting for us to leave to crank the volume back up again). The waitress did explain the dishes well, letting us know what the unique ones were. However, in the middle of our conversation a guy walked through the door and it was obvious that there's a connection between them because she then got more impatient explaining things to us as said guy moved to sit at a table towards the back of the restaurant. We completed our order, she served us and then kind of disappeared to wait on the other table, we thought. When she did happen to pass by our table again, I politely asked for additional plates and silverware, when she had a chance, to which she replied that I could pick them up myself from near the register area. Her response seemed out place since we were dining in and we were under the impression that she was our waitress, so I asked her again for silverware, not plastic utensils. Again, she told me that I could pick up plastic utensils myself from the register, pointing, "see they're right there" and walked away to the kitchen. We were still processing the exchange, a bit in disbelief, when she then appeared with requested silverware and additional plates but visibly annoyed and in some kind of hurry. It was really hard to focus on enjoying our meal after that. The waitress then made her way to the back table to sit next to, one could now only presume was her boyfriend, and we never saw her again. She never checked on us, asked if we needed anything, etc. Her priority was staying seated and chatting it up with that guy. Who did come to check on us was the owner, who seems to have cooked the meals and walked out of the kitchen to speak with us. He asked if we had enjoyed the food, if it was our first time there, talked about how he sourced his ingredients, shared some of the restaurant's history. Then he walked away to continue working. Unfortunately, we were forced to engage again with the waitress (who remained seated at the back table) and had to ask her across the restaurant where we should pay. Before she answered from her chair (didn't even get up to speak with us and was getting ready to yell back at us from her seat) the owner appeared at the register and told us we could pay with him. Unfortunately, the whole service experience did negatively color our desire to return to this place again. Giving more like 3.5 stars because the food was good but not enough to overlook the unpleasant service.
