Two carnitas and two steak tacos
Candice S.

I will give this place 5 stars for the chicken taco alone. Holy cow was it amazing. Their carnitas tacos are very good too, but the chicken blew me away. Sadly, I wasn't as impressed with their margarita, but the beer I had before that was very refreshing. We came on a Friday night to see our friend who was DJing upstairs. As the night went on, the service became really slow. A little understandable on a busy weekend night, but still surprising at the length of wait for our food. It's a nice place that shares the location with a brewery, so there are a lot of good beer options. I'd say it's a great place to hang out on the weekend if you want a good vibe, the music of the night definitely helped with the ambiance.

Asada Fries

Tacos Valentina is SO good! Love the food. I recently ordered the asada fries. This was a good portion for a meal for me. The fries were nice and crispy and had a little bit of a kick. The food at Tacos Valentina goes great with the beer at Torn Label. The service is always quick and efficient. It is located within Torn Label / partnered with Torn Label so you can order both beer and food at counter. You get a stand with a number and your food is brought out to your table when ready. I highly recommend giving Tacos Valentina a try if you are a fan of Mexican food. It will not disappoint!

Carne asada, barbacoa and carnitas tacos

First time at Tacos Valentina -loved the environment and the food of this adorable restaurant in East Crossroads. The food had great flavor and the tortillas are really good, almost a flash fried type of flavor. We loved the barbacoa and picadillo tacos as some of our favorites. If you're a beer drinker, you'll enjoy the selection!

een a while since I did a Yelp event... and a while since I was trying new micro brews. This staff was amazing and was extremely helpful not only in what they had for beer which was 5 flagship beers and 8 seasonal beers, but also the layout of the place, top things on the menu and so on. They have some fantastic beer. Of course, beer is subjective and I tend to like dark and smoky but my friend who is recently into IPAs also liked his beer so that tells me they are doing well across the board. Taco Valentina is the kitchen that produced the tacos. These were killer! So many great taco flavours. If I had to say a downside... it was parking for the size of the event we were having there. The place was open but the streets and small lots were full.

Tres dips

Such a hip and delicious place to get some Bouche tacos with great flavors. Also recommend the tres dips. They serve different draft beers to which I cannot speak to, but do have a seltzer in a can for gluten free patrons.

So delicious

Delicious food, best tacos I've had in a while. Great service, friendly staff and the place itself looks nice and modern. Will be back!

While you are at Torn Label Brewing Co definitely get some tacos from Tacos Valentina. Size wise the tacos are larger than most street tacos and full with toppings. Out of the 3 I tried (Kansas City, Pollo Adobada, Pescado En Ceniza) all three had good portions and great flavor. Tacos come out quickly and staff was friendly and helpful.

RUN to get this pozole. Perfect on a cold day in KC. Taproom is cute with games and beers are always good!

We are low key stalkers of @tacosvalentina and we can't be more excited for them that they found a home @tornlabelkc The food and beer go together really well. We had the Monk & Honey and an IPA. The food menu has so many options. We had the Barbacoa for the time, along with the salsa macha. I want it all again. The bean dip with sweet potatoes chips - salt and fat .

After a Saturday evening Crossroads brewery crawl that stretched 4 blocks and 4 microbreweries, it was time for some for some nutrients that weren't hop based. Tacos Valentina is the kitchen inside of Torn Label Brewery and their tacos were a bit pricey at $5.50 each or 3 for $15, but I would be happy to pay that price again, in fact I want to do it again very soon. I ordered the KC Taco, the Suadero and gave my bartender the responsibility to select her favorite as my third, she chose the Oronoco.. it was truly a 3 way tie for which one was my favorite. The crunch of the fried tortilla filled with ground beef and dusted with parmesan was probably the best KC style taco that I've ever eaten. The chunks of seared brisket covered in a creamy tomatillo jalapeño sauce - exquisite. The fried potato fingerlings with yogurt and charred salsa - unique and addictive. Tacos Valentina has moved to the top of the charts with a bullet as my new favorite "upscale / gourmet" taqueria, and being inside a cool space that serve fresh beer only adds to the experience. Worth the trip a few blocks east of the center of the Crossroads action.

Recommended by a friend so stopped by on a Sunday while in town for an event. Very chill, family-friendly with outdoor seating. Wonderful tacos and beer - had the 2 KC & a Barbacoa with the House Brew beer and all were delicious.

You can tell the food is made with care and love; it really comes through in every bite. I especially appreciate all the pescatarian and vegetarian options -- something you definitely won't find at the restaurant across the street. Dining at El Patron is always a treat, and I look forward to every opportunity I get to eat there. I can't wait to go back and try even more of their incredible dishes!

The service was pretty slow for a lazy Sunday afternoon where the restaurant wasn't very busy however the kitchen cranked our order out quickly. They make a homemade "black sauce" that is to DIE for. It is served cold and they are generous with the meat portions. We got the trio (fish shrimp and octopus). - oysters- delicious - oyster Rockefeller- very good but Extremely cheesy. I like that with this type of oysters, but might be too much cheese for some. Amazing flavor. - queso- SO SO good. - ribeye tacos- thin sliced ribeye that was incredibly tender. Amazing flavors, some of the best tacos we've ever had - octopus tacos- UNREAL. Tender, not chewy, delicious sauces and toppings, 10/10 Our meal was $177- not the cheapest but the food, ambiance and service made it worth every penny. Overall we had an amazing experience and will absolutely be going back. Thank you to the staff and chefs!

It gave an option for dining with a group of people or simply dining alone. We arrived around 1pm on a week day, so just after the lunch rush which was perfect. The food was made fresh, I've always wanted to try the barria taco but no one seems to offer anything but a beef option. And finally, I found a chicken one. It was Delish !! Now I couldn't dip in the au just because it was beef but I appreciate having the option. The Mexican rice was light and flavorful. The queso was good however it stiffened up pretty quickly, just in case you feel the anxiety of choosing between. Your appetizer and the main costs course. I wish I would've had more time to look around the market because it looked like they had a lot of good stuff but I'll have to go back and see. They do have tables inside that you can eat at. The food was done at the quoted time and was accurate. The one individual I encountered was friendly. The menu was very straightforward-tacos, burritos, and a few other items, all can be customized. I had to get an order of chips and queso. I really liked their queso. It had good flavor and wasn't overly spicy. The chips were fresh and held up to the queso nicely. I'm definitely probably alway going to order this when I go. I also tried a taco with carne asada. The tacos are the street variety but they are really good sized. They don't skimp on the meat. And the carne asada was really good. No gristle or gross bits. It was chopped finely and I'd definitely order it again. I also had to try a burrito. I tried the El pastor for that and added on all the toppings-cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I also opted for extra meat because it was super cheap-like $1, so why not? Again, I was not disappointed. I did throw my burrito on the good 'ol George Foreman when I got home because they don't grill it at all and I wanted some grill marks on that tortilla. Otherwise, the el pastor was flavorful and tender and the toppings were all fresh. Per usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I saved half of my burrito, but it was a welcome leftover meal the following day. Definitely check them out if you're on the boulevard and want some tasty, Mexican grub.
