We ordered a tostada and tacos. We were super disappointed with the steak, it was like chewing on a shoe, I also wasn't impressed with the carne asada, however, the carnitas made up for it. WOW! We stopped by this place on a late night mission to get some quick food. The service was prompt and the two guys who helped us were so kind and patient. The restaurant itself inside is so cute and welcoming. We got our food to go, but I would definitely come back & eat inside if we lived locally. Now for the best part, the food!!! I got the Tacos de Carnitas. The pork was tender, crispy, and flavorful. They portion the meat pretty generously. their tortillas are soft and tasty. my friend got chicken in his tacos and enjoyed them very much. Came in for takeout about an hour before they closed. Place had maybe two tables seated. When we first walked in and told them we wanted takeout and not to dine in the server already looked annoyed. My friend lives right behind the restaurant so we figured we would just grab dinner and watch a movie. 3 of us we placed our order one by one and I offered to pa, the girl gave me the total whiched seemed a bit. When i went to pay, the machine gave me the option to put gratuity so asked the girl if it was already included because I saw the low tip options of 3% and 7% and she said yes its automatically added. I already have an issue with gratuity being aded to a takeout order for 3 people but ok, i was like great probably has a 10-15% takeout tip.NOPE the cashier added a large party 20% tip onto the check thinking we wouldnt notice! I asked her why she put a large party gratuity on my check she said it was automatically added. In my opinion that was a LIE large party on a takeout? The food was OK but if this is a policy not a good one and if this was the employee trying to be slick not good either. Guys almost $20 tip on takeout is crazy. We order meet burrito the meet was dry but good flavor. we order frijoles de la olla Awful, no salt, no pepper no nothing...these were the worst beans I have ever eating. Also we order a rice. But the worse part was de service, I asked to the waitress what was the closest thing to fajitas because weren't on the menu. This review is for an UberEats delivery on 01/23 @ 1:00AM. I ordered the steak quesadilla and added sour cream and pico to the order. When the order arrives, I notice both ingredients are inside the quesadilla and not on the side as most restaurants do who care about customers and their quality of food; maybe they don't want to spend money on to-go containers? Sour cream is not visible because obviously hot and cold food don't mix well, especially when the order is to go. There is a pool of what looks like water underneath what is supposed to be a HOT and crispy quesadilla. Unfortunately this was a warm and watery quesadilla that I ate because I was hungry. To add insult to injury, I call and speak with the...."manager" who not once apologizes or is empathetic and instead implies it is my fault for not specifying my exact order details. They also ignore my second and third calls so this is my only logical response. I wish you all the best but this is the first and last time. We've ordered takeout previously but decided to pop in on a rainy Thursday for dinner. Husband ordered the conchinita pibil and had to get the chicharones, both were very flavorful and the chicharones really hit the gotta have something crunchy/tasty spot. I had the carne asada burrito and only managed to eat half (yay, leftovers for lunch). Service was pleasant, fast and professional. Upon walking in the placed smelled like trash. Maybe it was the smell coming from the the bathrooms but it was nasty. We ordered tacos al pastor and elote. The elote was okay but nothing compared to other Mexican restaurants we've been to. The tacos were terrible. The tortilla terrible and the meat tasteless. The only thing that was good was the pineapple and cucumber juice. The service was bad as well. We asked for a second elote and we had to remind them about it.
