This is a hidden gem in Silver Spring. The ambiance is very cute and cozy. The decoration is a twist of old traditional Mexican style but modern. The tables are super cute with traditional tiles. They have modernized taking your order with a kioas. My food was delicious. I left nothing. The guacamole was my favorite. The chips not so much but they were good. I'd been meaning to give them a try because of the close location to home in Downtown Silver Spring and got my opportunity today before meeting a friend that was touring the apartment complex it's attached to. First, it's hidden and you could very well miss it with everything going on around the location like parked work trucks, trees and bushes. There is however lots of street parking and garage parking nearby. When I walked in, the place was completely empty but the employee working was friendly and quick to greet me and instructed me to the wall with screens to order. The menu is limited in my opinion, so I ordered the American Way tacos with chicken that only comes with cheese, lettuce and sour cream on the side. I added tomatoes for a $1 up charge and their taco salsa for another $1.50 up charge and they come 3 to an order. I also got a Jarritos fruit punch and my order came to a total of $19.60. While the dining area and bar is cute, I was quite disappointed with my food unfortunately. The chicken was flavorless and cold and given the price point, was absolutely not worth it. I would've been better off going elsewhere to get better tasting food for a fraction of the cost of the sub par tacos I had today. Ordered take out from here. When we went to pick up our food, I thought the interior looked cute from the outside although I didn't go inside. We got the chicken and veggie tacos on soft corn tortilla. They were very tasty. It's definitely best eaten fresh. Loved that the corn tortillas were doubled-that's how it should be! I wish there was another veggie option but the one they have is very tasty. I'll probably get it again! read more

The Silver Spring location opened this week. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos, Chips & Salsa, and a frozen Sangria. Inside: The concept is great. The location has a row of barstools as a seating option, food is ordered as the kiosk, and the counter is mainly a bar. I wouldn't consider this a full restaurant but a cool place for a drink and street style tacos. Also, the kiosk and menu is very detailed so I had no trouble picking something to order. A text message is sent to you when your food is ready. Food: Carne Asada was extremely flavorful. You can also tell the sauces are freshly made. Definitely a 10/10. The chips weren't too salty and again the salsa was fresh. The sangria wasn't watered down as be overall a good sangria. read more

Great news spot in downtown silver spring. Fast casual and easy to order. They have alcohol (beers and cocktails). Would be cool if they had a happy hour or a way to get people there after work. When it warms up it'd be nice to have some outside seating as well. Birria Tacos and Burrito was great. Looking forward to trying some other items. This was very surprisingly amazing! The service was great, and this possibly was the best quesadilla I have ever had! They do close a tad early,but I'm certain it's for good reason. I stopped by this place because I literally can't say no to new taco spots. We tried the Mexican Way and American Way tacos and both were delicious. It's 3 tacos for $12, which is a good deal considering that they load up the tacos with meat. Coupled with a mexican Coke and Jarritos, the taco experience here was (m)excellent. The vibe inside was authentically mexican with a novela playing on the TV and classic mexican music playing in the background. Sadly, I didn't take a photo, but I'll be back. My 3 stars is for the food. We ordered 3 Carne Asada tacos on flour, 1 Al Pastor quesadilla, and 1 cheese quesadilla. The tacos were good - flavorful salsa and great seasoning. The quesadillas were disappointing - the Al Pastor was so greasy and the cheese only quesadilla wasn't cooked through all the way. Both had so much cheese that it felt that we were really just eating half melted and half unmelted cheese in a semi-warm tortilla. Both my fiancé and I did not finish our food. The drinks were good, but also pricey for what they were. I noticed the beer on the menu was a good price, but we opted for the margaritas instead. read more

Delicious 3 Mexican style carne asada tacos for $12. The tacos were full of ingredients and flavor, like something you might see on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. The presentation was high end also. However, I will say they were very slightly on the greasy/messy side, and I think because of all the salsa etc they were slightly watery so I don't know if they would travel well, or keep for 30 minutes, but if you can eat them immediately you're in for a treat. At 7pm on a Tuesday night the restaurant was completely empty. I ordered online and they said 15-20 minutes but they texted me exactly 5 minutes after placing the order that they were ready (which is perfect because I work in the building). The employees here were very friendly and the general atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was pretty good. I really hate to harp on them because they're brand new, but, I honestly have experienced more flavor in literally any other mexican restaurant when regarding their birria tacos. They just tasted like water, and the consomme was really watery too. I had to throw them away. The al pastor was ok, but it was really chewy and all I could taste was salsa. I was really disappointed because fourteen dollars for 3 corn shell tacos with no rice or anything on the side is an INSANE amount compared to other places. Fast and friendly service with great tacos. The mezcalritta I ordered was well-balanced and my kid's aguafresca was delicious and not too sweet. We had the hard tacos with ground beef and birria tacos; both were tasty and exactly what you'd expect and want from a taco joint. Don't believe the one-star reviews. We will be back. read more

This is a new restaurant in my neighborhood, and I wanted to like it, so I was especially disappointed by how bad it is. First of all, the music was playing at a deafening volume -- so loud that I couldn't hear what an employee was saying. He did turn it down when asked, but it was still unpleasantly loud. I got a taco salad and a chimichanga to go. The salad was disgusting. The only vegetable was shredded lettuce, which was placed UNDER a portion of bland, unseasoned hamburger so it was completely wilted. It looked and tasted revolting. There were no tomatoes, cucumbers, or anything else that one usually sees in a salad. The taco shell was okay but soggy on the bottom. I threw away about half of it. The chimichanga was the same -- too much bland hamburger in a tasteless floury covering with a few chopped tomatoes and some sour cream on top. It tasted exactly the same as the taco salad. I ate some of it and threw the rest down the Disposal. The service was fast, and the employee pleasant, but that's not enough to make me ever go back. read more

had seen this new restaurant was advertised newly opened, we decided to give it a try. we went ahead and order tacos with birria quesadilla, this is not mexican made tacos if that's what you were looking for.. the tortilla are brittle they fall apart without taking a first bite. as for the birria quesadilla i don't know what type of meat they use but they only use fat, most definitely wouldn't call this birria.
