*REVIEW FROM A CALIFORNIAN* Solid & extremely convenient Mexican food. *** CASH ONLY. Good tortillas, green & red salsas. I got the Al pastor burrito. I'd definitely come back & try some more tacos. Good fast service.

By far the best tacos in the neighborhood. Cash only. Ready really quickly. The chips are thick and delicious as well. Standouts: Birria, tinga, and carnitas.

I ordered 3 tacos for $4 each not knowing they'd be stuffed to the rim with meat. Their carnitas, Al pastor and carne asada were all delicious and flavorful. Would 100% be back to try other things on their menu. They're currently only accepting cash but trust me, it's well worth it! Also, the people taking my order were super friendly!

The tacos here are great. They are very filling and reasonably priced. The salsa has great flavor and spice as well. I prefer coming here than going to the other Mexican restaurants around the area as their quality doesn't compare to this food truck's imo.

Was wandering the area back around March 15 and saw this truck on the southwest corner of 2nd and 69th st. I tried a chorizo taco here and it was legit. The green sauce they use here is great too. Double tortillas as well and they had peppers in a jar that you could add. Not sure if this truck migrated here from other locations I see on google maps or if this is just an unmarked cart, but it's legit and good. Highly recommend the taco.

Quick, reliable food cart for burritos, tacos, cemitas, tortas, and more that I have yet to try. They always have the non-traditional meats (tongue, ear) that you can't always get elsewhere. I've tried most of the other burrito spots around the area and this place is my favorite-- theres something so tasty about the burrito fillings of rice, beans, cheese, lettuce. Maybe it's how moist and flavorful everything is. Also, affordable prices, non-intimidating and friendly service, and always at the same location til late at night. While waiting for my al pastor burrito ($9) and lengua cemita (huge sandwich!), I heard a customer order chicken over rice... not what I'd expect here but am curious so going to have to try that next time.

Delicious traditional Mexican food at amazing prices. My favorites are the pork tacos and nachos but you can't go wrong with anything!

Great quality/price. The best tacos I've tried from a taco truck around the neighborhood.

If you like…read moreBirria-Landia, the more well-known and widespread birria truck family, you'll probably like Casa Birria too. And if you haven't had Birria-Landia or birria in general, well, you'll probably still like them! Casa Birria is a simple food truck with a simple menu of just a few items. I noticed they have a few meat options but assuming you eat beef, you of course have to get the birria (slow-cooked beef in a slightly spicy and indulgent broth). It comes in multiple vehicles which are all basically some configuration of tortilla, onions, cilantro, meat, and sometimes cheese depending on what you pick. The taco is the classic and the $12 taco combo is a nice deal, though as a smaller eater and cheese-lover, I personally go for a couple of mulitas. Juicy meat with a bit of heat, melty cheese, and legit corn tortillas soaked in that delicious broth, what's not to love? The truck is open pretty late, has fast straightforward service, and like any truck does not have seating so you have to either eat on the sidewalk or have a place in mind to bring it; there is a park a few blocks up. Definitely cheaper than most meals in this part of the city and I'd be a regular if I lived close by!

Mexican Food Cart…read more The cutest little food cart. Prime location at 86th and Second Avenue. He opens daily at 9:30am my favorite time for brunch! The price is right, he's efficient, clean and there's plenty of room for social distancing while you wait for your food. The trouble is when I went today it was a different guy. I said give me extra beans because I didn't want meat and leave off tomatoes because I'm allergic. Well in addition I didn't find any grated cheese, it's like a cheese powder on it, and he said he puts guacamole on top but he didn't. The good news I'm full and it was cheap and fast. I don't plan to return though. It's a cute cart but not that cute! It's not good when you get to the location where you plan to eat and find your food isn't up to par. Maybe you will have better luck.

And why not? The food here is fresh, fast, tasty, and quite affordable. The vegetarian tacos are my thing, while my gal enjoys their burritos. Nice people working the cart, and it's a good thing to support a hard working small biz like this. Dammit - now I want a taco and it's after midnight. Guess I'll wait until tomorrow and dream about them.

I have been here a couple times and I mistook it for another popular Food Cart farther South. Today I returned to buy a muffin. After I got back home I realized that the windows where the muffins were displayed looked different from my last visit. Did he change carts? I'm not sure. I'm sorry I didn't pay closer attention. I'm wondering if the city can have different carts approved for the same spot on the sidewalk but they sell on different days of the week. (I hope that statement makes sense.) Today I purchased a muffin to freeze. The price was $2.00 which is the most I've ever paid for a street cart muffin. I'm going back another time to check out this cart.
