My friends and I met up at Conmigo for dinner while visiting the city for a few days. We visited on a Saturday around 6:30pm. Not wanting to risk a wait, we made a reservation. I'd recommend the same. It wasn't super busy at first, but filled up quickly. We were ignored at the entrance for a solid few minutes because the host thought we'd already been helped. But after realizing we hadn't, he quickly apologized and seated us. We started with the Chips & Salsa and the Oaxaca Sticks. Then we all got tacos. I got the Carnitas, Steak, and Baja Fish tacos. All the food was great! Shame about the service, otherwise this would be a 5 star review. Favorite bites were the Oaxaca sticks (fun play on mozzarella sticks) and the Carnitas taco. Came back again after 3 months, and I still really enjoy Conmigo. Actually this is the first time we sat inside - we typically have sat outside when the weather was nice. The music is a nice selection of Latin hits and service is solid. Again, their happy hour cant be beat and their tacos are pretty good for the price ($5) and the size (larger than Los Tacos). The Paloma here is something we come back for and will continue doing so! read more

Update: We came back for happy hour drinks and appetizers and it's also a great spot for HH. Ambiance: I like the vibe, it's not too quiet but so loud that you can't talk. They have really nice seating outside and inside. The indoor seats with the open windows is a very nice spot. The teal colored theme enhances the restaurant. HH: $9 margaritas are such a huge win! They let you mix flavors and the margaritas are well made and delicious. Food: We got the nachos as a shared appetizer. They are well portioned and had a good mix of all the ingredients. We also got the chips and salsa. You can tell the salsas are freshly made and they were well seasoned. Service: Staff was very friendly and checked in on us often. Water was always filled quickly and food and drinks came out fast. Great spot for tacos. I've dined in and taken out at Conmigo and it was not disappointing both times! The ambience of the place is so nice. It's a great date night spot or even just a dinner spot with friends. It's one of the few places in NYC that has pretty good tacos. As a vegetarian, I've only got the impossible taco as an option which is disappointing compared to other places in the city. However, the impossible taco is delicious and they have great vegetarian appetizers as well. I like their honey empanadas, a very unique appetizer for sure. Their beans and rice are also vegetarian friendly which is a bonus. Their cocktail list is like most typical places but the drinks were good. When we've had Conmigo delivered to us, I was very impressed with the packaging. Out tacos held up and the food was still somewhat hot and tasted just as good as in the restaurant. I do think the prices are a bit steep for the quality and quantity which has contributed to my star rating. read more

Conmigo was definitely my go to spot when I worked in the area as they always had good happy hour deals. The drinks are delicious, the food items are pretty good as well not always memorable but they do the trick when drinking. The service here is always attentive even when only one person is attending to the restaurant. I love Conmigo for many reasons but the service really makes the difference! The margos are fresh and excellent and i love the pink salt they use. I like plain/lime but they make many flavors and people seem to love them. The food is good- very solid and fresh. Their happy hour is fun and affordable in this crazy city. Manny, Elias, Ramiro and Joel are professional and friendly. I see single women here working or eating- and I come here myself as well to work at times, but i see single people out meeting other people at the bar, couples, families and friends meeting up. An updated review since they have added vegetarian options to the menu. I try to eat low fat vegan so don't eat their vegan tacos. But they have added an amazing vwgatarian burrito that has become my comfort food. When I am home (been traveling a ton), this is my go to place for an easy evening either by myself or with family.
