    Queso Fundido and pomegranate margarita
    Pamela P.

Best happy hour in UES. They have solid specials 7 days a week and margaritas are incredible. Nice place to watch a game, catch up with friends or have a family meal, this place really welcomes all. Service is always fast and attentive, and food is good. They offer both traditional and Tex-mex items and their drinks are strong! My favorite is the pomegranate margarita with mezcal. Love love love the courtesy chips and salsa.

Came here for cinco de mayo. Place was PACKED! We had ordered Guac and chips but they forgot to bring it to us... so we had to ask them to take off bill which they apologized for. The pitcher of mango margarita was super delicious. I was unsure what to get to eat but so many people said the duck burrito and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT.

I was dragged here by a friend, but I'll definitely come again! I had a frozen concoction that the bartender, Valentina, made. I'm a lightweight, so when she asked what flavor I thought it was, I said, "alcohol!" If you want a GOOD drink, come here. Lol. It turned out to be a strawberry mango margarita and the alcohol was THERE! I also had the turkey and spicy chicken chile. It was soooooooo good. You usually eat chile with a spoon, but the tortilla chips that adorned the plate sufficed very well. That chile was amazing! I'd go there just for that. The ambiance was very pleasant, very demure, very cutesy, very mindful. Lol. Seriously, it was a nice, chill place to have a drink with good company, which I very much did. I'll definitely be back!

My friend and I randomly came across this place. I liked it. I liked it because it's quiet. No blasting music, no fanfare, no weird fusion menu, just a simple Mexican place. Is the food amazing? No. But it's good for those Mexican cravings. The portions were kinda small but at the same time, I didn't leave hungry or anything. Good service too. If you just want a simple and straight forward experience, this is your place.

Must try: Al Carbon Tacos and Churros! Why: Tacos were packed with delicious juicy sautéed hanger steak with onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cheese. Lots of flavor in each bite. For dessert, we shared Churros, which was really good too. I loved the deep fried churros with caramel and ice cream with a strawberry slice in each bite. Notes: Very spacious and clean restaurant. Great spot for a date night, group dinner, or just a solo night at the bar. Very friendly and helpful workers.

Nice little Mexican find on the Upper East side. Located on 1st between 76 & 77. Inside is warmly decorated giving that authentic feeling. Met some friends here for Happy Hour. One of the best in the city. Yummy $8 margaritas and $10 snacks. Guacamole is delicious and made fresh right in front of you. Service is excellent. Ask for Gustavo at the bar. He'll make your night... not to mention, he makes a mean margarita!!!

Botto less brunch above the rest!! They don't mess around with slow service and tiny bottomless drinks. They bring out a PITCHER. And the pitcher is STRONG. And it's only $40 including food!!! The service was 11/10. The best hosting we've experienced in a really long time. Our server shared long conversations with us and gave us valuable knowledge about mexican liquors (including samples)... I had the omelet with home fries. Nice and simple with a thick layer of mild cheese in the middle and a cheese pull to write home about. My only complaint is how drunk I got from the pitchers of mimosas!

We stopped by to have a drink at the bar at this restaurant in the Upper East Side of NYC while waiting for our reservation at another restaurant. I had a Margarita $13 and it was fine. The service was great.

This is exactly what I want on a Friday afternoon. The HH frozen marg is so good & such a great price. My favorite flavor is blood orange. Not too sweet & perfectly strong!

I want to say that I first liked this restaurant. The food was good. Our waitress was lovely. My only problem was that we came for a party of 8 for a birthday party calling the day before asking if we could bring a cake to sing happy birthday. We were told we could. We handed the cake to the person who sat us and proceeded to have dinner. After dinner, I was told there was a 3 dollar a person plating charge for having my own cake served. When we called, it was never mentioned. That meant another 24 dollars to use their plates and forks. We inquired why this was not mentioned to us in the phone call and asked to see the manager who wouldn't come to our table. It left the poor waitress feeling very awkward. We spent close to 300 dollars for dinner. This was more about the fact that we called in advance and was never told and the manager refusing to come to our table when asked. So we will never be returning not because of the food but because management obviously doesn't care about their patrons.

A higher quality, unique Mexican restaurant in the UES! Our margarita pitcher was absolutely delicious, and so was the beergarita. The nachos were so satisfying as a shared app. I had the salmon empanadas, which each had a huge salmon filet in them. Not your typical Mexican cuisine, but we loved it. The service was also amazing. Very cute inside. We would probably go back, but excited to try other Mexican places as well. Great spot for a date or friend get-together.

I came to Canyon Road for an engagement dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm. This was my first time coming here and I was surprised at how large the space inside the restaurant is. We were a group of around 20-22 people and they were able to accommodate us all. I really appreciated the organized service and how they coordinated everything so all our meals came out at the same time. They were also very attentive of our table and kept refilling our waters and chips with salsa regularly. We ordered 3 frozen margarita pitchers for the group and these were pretty good! Flavor was not too sweet, and they were definitely not skimpy with the amount of alcohol in each. For me the only downside was that the food itself was not too amazing-- but also I have relatively high standards for Mexican food. The chips with salsa felt a bit stale in our first batch although improved in subsequent batches. I ordered the grilled adobo marinated chicken breast which had a decently sized grilled chicken breast over roasted corn and sautéed spinach and jicama bits. Portion size was large and filling but the chicken breast was a little dry and the spinach was salty. I did like how it came with 3 small plantains that weren't stated on the menu and overall it felt pretty healthy besides the salt. I also ordered a side of rice and black beans with that which was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered a chimichanga de pollo (which is basically a fried burrito) which was good. It had generous filling of chicken and veggies and came topped with guac and sour cream + some rice and beans on the side. I thought the portion size was very good for this. The tortilla quality wasn't great but the dish itself came together relatively well. Even though the food wasn't mind blowing I still think the service was exceptional and they really know how to handle big groups! This could be a good place to bring a large crowd and where you will likely find decent food for everyone since their menu is pretty varied. The vibes are really lively and fun! Not sure I would come back here individually but it's definitely a good place to host a large group dinner.

Food is ok . Service sucks . Don't bother . There are so many better Cal/Tex Mex restaurants in the neighborhood.

I had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally came for my birthday dinner. It was a rainy…read moreevening and I was hoping there'd be umbrella sleeves offered. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

What a GORGEOUS space. Whoever interior decorated this restaurant deserves their tens because it is…read morea spectacle. I had only seen daytime pics, but being there in the evening is a treat. If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
