This spot absolutely checks off the "satisfying hunger" box! It looks like a little open space where folks waiting on their food can hang out and enjoy the vibe of conversation. Fair warning: this place can get loud because you can dine in if the few seats aren't all taken. Also, it's outside, so check the weather and temperature in case you feel like being curious and attending. I love, love, love the fact that the customers here are from all different genders, demographics, and career backgrounds. You know a place is legendary when you can have a diverse set of people dining in here and waiting for food at 11:13 PM at night! You might spot a customer in their PJs right next to a cabaret dancer in her full regalia--all waiting patiently for steak tacos! LOL! Very fun indeed! I ordered the steak quesadillas, and I will absolutely come back for them. They were so cute and funny--they came in a little pizza box! And the cheese actually managed to string all the way from the food to my mouth! (LMFAO! It was a feat of culinary engineering!) Their hot sauce was delicious, too. It's literally located behind a bar/entertainment venue on the corner and not far from the gaming/bar experience of the Emporium business. I will be back! This place is pure gold.

Taco Tastic is a Certified Flavor Bomb! (A True NOLA Hidden Gem) I'm almost hesitant to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself, but the secret of Taco Tastic needs to get out! If you knew them as a truck, theyve now been operating out of a cozy, laid-back storefront, and the flavors are better than ever. This is the definition of a hidden gem, and if you haven't been, you are seriously missing out on some great flavors in the city. Seriously, everything I've tried here has been a flavor bomb! This isn't your average quick-stop taco joint, every ingredient is fresh, seasoned perfectly, and explodes with authentic taste. We decided to try their heat levels with the quesadillas. I went with the chicken Quesadilla at Level 3, which was the perfect amount of spice. A great, noticeable kick without overwhelming the rich, tender chicken and melted cheese. My friend was a little more adventurous and got the Steak Quesadilla and added shrimp for $2 extra at Level 4. They loved the intense flavor and the incredible richness of the steak and shrimp combo. The fact that they customize the sauces and seasonings based on your chosen spice level (1-5) is a fantastic touch! The service waz friendly and fast, they don't accept cards but they take venmo/Cash app/zelle and of course cash. If you're looking for authentic, mind-blowing Mexican food in New Orleans with an awesome customizable spice system, seek out Taco Tastic. Go before everyone else finds out about this absolute treasure!

The steak quesadilla was arguably the best I have ever had. This spot has it going on! This spot is located behind a bar, side street entrance, with outdoor seating. Food was cooked fresh and in real time. Staff was very kind and helpful. Locally owned. Open late (2 am)!! I'll be back and will recommend this spot going forward.

This was probably the only establishment that was still open for late night grub in the area and conveniently located across the street from the bar that I was at. It's located behind the bar No Dice with the entrance facing Marigny St. The late night cravings were creeping in and I didn't expect much but after trying the beef tacos, they were pretty dang delicious. The meat was seasoned really well. I initially got two tacos and then left but came right back and got a couple more. Worth it.

Tacotastic is the perfect late-night stop on St. Claude. The food is tasty, fresh, and full of flavor, and the vibe is always fun and welcoming. Great spot to grab a bite after a long day.

Tacotastic is hands down one of the best hidden gems in the city. It's tucked away in the back of a bar, which gives it a cool, unexpected vibe--but it's still family-friendly, and kids are welcome. The queso is absolute fire--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I can never pass up the chicken quesadilla; it's always perfectly grilled, loaded with juicy chicken and gooey cheese. There's usually about a 20-minute wait, but it's well worth it once the food is called for pick up. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the prices are fair for the quality and portions you get. Tacotastic really lives up to its name--definitely a spot you'll want to keep on your regular rotation,

Best Tacos and Quesadillas in town! I've seen the food prep and it is FRESH because they sell out of stock almost every night.

If you are in the area, check this place out!…read more We had a really fun meal here with our work crew and Russell. This dude knows how to have fun! The food was excellent, the service impeccable and many laughs! Russell took care of us, made some great recommendations for both food and drinks. They have great happy hours specials here and the food is really good. If you are close by, come by, enjoy the ambiance, have some great food and drink.

When in New Orleans on my trip for my graduation from LSU, Johnny Sánchez was a must stop. If you…read moredon't already know walking in, Johnny Sánchez was founded by Aáron Sánchez of whom most know from MasterChef. I'm on a mission to eat at restaurants founded by all the judges and this was my second after Gordon Ramsey's Fish & Chips in NYC. There was so much on the menu that I wanted to order (here's looking at you - short rib birria), but I figure that I can always come back on a return trip and stuck to more traditional Mexican fare. My friends and I shared an order of the chips, salsa, and guacamole of which all three were heavenly. Don't even get me started on those fried plantain chips. I could munch on those for days. For my main course, I ordered a carne asada plate and had to have a Mexican Coke to accompany it all. There was no room for dessert, as much as I know it would have been delicious. I loved the decor and the big mural on the wall, too. Our server was wonderful and patient with us (maybe more with me due to my excitement). I'll definitely need to get back when I can enjoy a margarita while I'm at it.
