We walked here from lunch as we were touring the world war 2 museum. We had to wait on them to open and they were a little late opening... but we ordered a mix of tacos. The food was very good. It had excellent flavor. They also had indoor and outdoor seating. This is a good lunch spot if you are in the area.

So it's Tuesday in NOLA in early-mid August; of course I'm on the hunt for tacos. YELP brings me here and I'm excited based on the ratings. Since it's near the Barnett, it's about a 15 minute walk here and upon arriving, I place my order with the bartender for the following: -Shrimp -Nopalitos (Cactus) -El sol (special crispy cheese tortilla) -Chicken Tinga -Cochinta Pibil (Pork) So each taco is about $5 and the El Sol is $6; altogether came to about $35 including tax and tip. While I got them to go, I decided to eat them there since they took some time to make. It smelled amazing but the size of the tacos compared to the price you pay is a straight up rip-off. Not to mention the flavors are decent but do not jump out and smack your taste buds. Really disappointed in what I paid given the taste and size of them. Best one was probably the El Sol with the crispy cheese tortilla. The staff is friendly and it's a cool ambiance with the outdoor garden-like seating and the bar inside. But I don't think I'll be back here given the value. Guess tacos are not something NOLA does right.

My friends and I stopped here for an early dinner and we were very satisfied with our first visit. The bartender taking our order was very patient with us and even allowed my companion to change one of his tacos after we already paid. The rest of the staff was very friendly and brought our food directly to our table. They also took care to stop by and clear anything we were done with. The queso was really yummy and I thought the meat inside the tacos (on corn tortillas) was well seasoned. The inside has limited seating but the outdoor patio has ample seating. We will be back!

Very cool, quant spot in the warehouse district. Ambiance was fantastic. We got a bunch of tacos and chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso. Everything was delicious. one taco that stood out was the El Sol taco. highly recommend. The service was fast and friendly and i would definitely return.

Decided to try somewhere new Saturday night. We were near the riverwalk and looked up taco places nearby and this one popped up. Parking wasn't the best as it's just street parking, but we parked and had about a 5 min walk. Not too many people for a Saturday night. When we walked in there may have been 2-3 other groups of people. The menu is located outside, as that is where you order your food. Once you order the food you get a table number to take with you. We decided to sit inside which may have about 4-5 tables. The bar had 2 TVs showing football games and they had Christmas music playing which was nice. All of their drinks came in glass bottles, so no refills. I ordered queso and it was your average queso. It was good but it came out warm, not hot like I like it. I ordered the chicken tinga taco and bistec tacos. I really liked the bistec one, but the chicken tinga was just ok in my opinion. I feel like the tacos had a good bit of meat on it, but the 2 with the queso still didn't fill me up. I should've ordered another. My cousin ordered the rice, pollo pibil taco, cochinta pibil taco, and the bistec taco. She said the pollo pibil was her favorite. To me it was an okay taco place with a limited menu.

Love the mushroom and rajas de crema tacos! Wonderful flavor and 2 tacos were a great light lunch or snack. We also ordered the chips and salsa but didn't care for that. The salsa has a nice taste but is way way way too watery to enjoy.

Fresh, and cold Margaritas! The tacos, quesadillas, and chips were tasty too! Nice outdoors seating

Solid three stars for the ambiance, food and service from the woman who brought over our order. Taking off two stars because the prices here absolutely do not match up with the portion sizes. I paid nearly $20 for two carne asada tacos and chips and salsa. The tacos were $5 each and while delicious, were NOT worth $5 each. I actually laughed when they brought the tacos over because you would think they would have included a little more meat for the price. Otherwise, great seating area and music!

Decent taco spot tucked off the road downtown. Every taco I tried was tasty. Guac was fresh and chips fried in house. The margaritas come in all different flavors and they pack a punch. You order at a window and then they bring your food to you! Outside seating is cute after sundown.

Have came more than 5 times now and can say it's our favorite spot for tacos. I love the outdoor seating, the ambiance and great music playlist. They have limited seating indoors just fyi. Their margaritas are top tier mixed with aguas frescas like hibiscus and tamarind to name a few. The gentleman in front is very courteous and answers all our food questions as well as the server. It's always the same lady and she is very nice and polite very attentive. We always get chips and queso and come for their rajas con queso, nopalitos, shrimp tacos, and chicken pibil. We end up with their delicious dessert every time. Tres leches cake, it's very sweet but nothing like I've ever tasted. Definitely recommend! Will be missing this place once we move from NOLA

Top is Rajas con crema (yum!) and bottom is El Sol.

Spending so much time in New York, I've probably had better, but the food here is still good. This is a small chain (NOLA, Metairie, Baton Rouge, West Palm Beach), outfitted with neon, murals, and pink flowers. The menus are high tech and light up when you open them. We started with the queso fundido, with melted mozzarella, chorizo, pico de gallo, and microgreens. Comes with corn or flour tortillas. It was cheesy and tasted great. They also provide chips and a flight of three salsas. Salsas all had completely different flavors and spice levels, so I enjoyed that. Other options are guacamole (with or without short rib), plain queso dip, short rib bites, and oysters rockefeller. Selections include various tacos. I had the birria tacos, which are served in a dramatic fashion, hanging from a line over the tray, which contained the consomme, salsas, rice, and refried beans. They were juicy and savory and the accompaniments hit the spot. Though I've probably had better birria elsewhere . . . not sure you'll find any better or authentic anywhere in New Orleans. My husband had the fish tacos (ensenada), crispy and covered in cilantro, payo, pickled cabbage, avocado, and pico de gallo. The fish was light and the pickled slaw added just the right amount of brightness and acidity. They also have mushroom tacos, chicken, bone marrow wagyu, carnitas, shrimp, and more. They serve larger main dishes including fajitas, carne asada, barbacoa, burritos, enchiladas, and more. They have a great drink menu with the expected margaritas and mezcal as well as some fancy specialty drinks. I has the Hasta el Agua Del Florero, which is vodka, bombay, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and watermelon syrup. It was good, but also 20 dollars. The margaritas of course come a little cheaper at 13 bucks and are decent. Some people complained about service. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but our server stayed on top of things, the table was always bussed, he kept checking to make sure everything was to our liking. We had no server issues at all. Not sure this would be the top of my list to try of all the choices in New Orleans, but not a bad choice if you're in the mood for a Taco Tuesday or some Mexican chow.

We had the crispy cauliflower served with tempura, cashew habanero crema, garbanzo hash, and chimichurri. Loads of flavor and just the right bite size for tapas/apps. Plates include churrasco, fish and grits, paella (can be served veggie or without shellfish if you're allergic), lamb, Yucatan style pork, shrimp or steak mofongo, and chicken poblano. I had the churrasco, served with papas bravas. Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the steak mofongo and the beef tips, like the churrasco, were seasoned perfectly. Every taco is served on a fresh flour tortilla and paired with classic cilantro, onion, and lime. I tried the Crispy Fish and the Pork tacos, and the flavor profiles were distinct. The fish taco featured a great crunch from the beer-battered Louisiana catfish, balanced by shredded cabbage, homemade crema, a seriously spicy salsa macha, and sweet pops of pomegranate. However, the pork taco was the best of the two, packed with savory roasted pork, chicharrones, tangy pickled red onion, and a great green salsa on the side. I have pretty high standards for tacos, and while I've had better, Barracuda definitely delivers an enjoyable meal in a city where great taquerias can be hard to find.
