For context, I requested hair and makeup for my civil ceremony/elopement, which cost $700 (imo on the higher side of the quotes I received) and took slightly more than 2 hours day of. 1. From my initial reach out to Julie, she wasn't very responsive and often took multiples day or follow-ups from me before I received an answer via email. At some point, I was worried that she wasn't planning on showing up the day of my elopement. 2. The week before I got my hair and makeup done, I was told that I would be working with a different artist. Though the other artist turned out great, I'm a little disappointed that this wasn't communicated upfront. My impression was that Julie would be working with me and not outsourced to someone else. In addition, while the other artist was great, she didn't have all the information that I shared with Julie (eg. That I'm having a civil ceremony, that the location is a home not a hotel, when I needed to be done by) and I had to re-communicate the information to the artist. I'm so glad I communicated proactively to the artist; otherwise I might not have been ready in time to my civil ceremony!

Inside the space are floor to ceiling windows, so there is a ton of natural light, which definitely helps Hidi give you the best, most flawless application. I asked her for brown/golden smokey glam and she absolutely nailed it. Throughout the appointment she would hand me the mirror to check-in and make sure I was happy with how things were progressing, which was super nice. Each time she handed me the mirror, I was more and more in love with her work. By the end of the appointment, I was literally staring at myself in the mirror in awe and feeling/looking like a million bucks. She also did light styling on my hair and gave me soft, gorgeous waves.
