With a wide array of classes (Gentle, Beginner's, Moderate, Vigorous, Lunch Hour, and even Zumba)…read moreSamadhi Yoga Studio has a class for nearly everyone regardless of your level of practice. Although Samadhi's is some distance from the closest highway exit, it's easy to get to and is located in a spacious plaza with plenty of parking. Personally I prefer heated and very hot yoga. Though I find them fun and engaging, the only classes that provide that type of heat are the "vigorous" classes. All other classes are room temperature, so dress accordingly. Honestly, consider taking as many classes as you can. Find what challenges you. For first-timers and/or beginners, FRET not! There are a number of classes catered to your needs. Even though there are two separate bathrooms, there is no changing area for men or women. This can be annoying if you're coming straight from work. Also, there aren't any showers. So depending on how sweaty you get, keep that in mind if you are looking to attend their 545 or 6am classes before work. Otherwise, the staff and instructors are very pleasant and accommodating. Oh! They always seem to offer a Groupon to first-time students for a month of unlimited yoga classes for $40 (normally $115 value) so take a look into that if you haven't already.

My first yoga class ever was with Jennifer about a year and a half ago. Since then, I haven't…read morestopped attending. I love the way she conducts class. Every time is a little different; there is no set sequence (although some people do prefer that). Some days there will be more core work, other days more balance poses. And she always guides the mental/emotional/spiritual side, not just guidance for the physical poses themselves. I have attended other classes, and many do not offer such an opportunity for spiritual growth. Jennifer is very welcoming, for both new students, and those who have been coming to her class for years. She genuinely cares about the well-being of each person in her class, and her voice is filled with warmth and positive energy. Certainly, every person has different needs, and I think it's important to try a variety of classes. But I highly recommend that you try Jennifer's. There's no need to sign up in advance; you can just drop in whenever you like. I most enjoy the Tuesday night class, especially since there is an optional meditation at the end.

Since joining Jennifer's class this past fall I have found myself completely in love with Yoga as a spiritual and physical practice. The class accommodates all levels of yoga enthusiasts. I found Jennifer incredibly open to my questions as a beginner. No one class has the same routine and she does a wonderful job of explaining how each posture helps nurture, guide and reclaim both the spiritual and physical potential within each of us. I felt completely welcomed and honored by Jennifer from the very first class. She is one of the most loving and compassionate individuals I have met in a long time. You can tell she genuinely cares for each of her students because she visits and greets us individually before and after each class. If you have questions she makes herself available as needed and I found her incredibly easy to communicate with. It is important to recognize we all perceive the world differently and true wisdom can only be attained through personal experience. I would definitely recommend Jennifer's class for anyone interested in learning about Yoga or if you are new to the area and looking to join a class. She has been practicing for 11 years now and is a wealth of knowledge for both spiritual and physical practitioners.

I thought I'd enter into a receptionist area (like most places) so I was ending a very important phone call PLUS I believed I was early. NOPE, I entered right into the yoga room full of women, the instructor yelled at me to get off the phone. Which I did, obviously. Instructor got up to grab the paperwork for me, I apologized for being late because I misunderstood their class schedule. She then very rudely and loudly asked me if I was pregnant, I answered, yes, isn't this prenatal yoga?? She responded, no, I'm going to have to ask you to leave... while the women in the class giggled at me. I'm happy to admit that I made a mistake BUT there was no reason to make me feel ashamed for being pregnant and to insult me. She could simply have told me to not enter whole class is in session. They could have locked the door, there could have been a sign. ANYTHING would have been better!!
