Their famous pan seared tuna steak salad
    Dan R.

Taft Farms is quite a nice place, with a produce store, grocery store, bakery, and a greenhouse. The retail store had a lot of gorgeous fruit and produce, and the shelves and refrigerated cases were loaded with locally made granola, ice cream, granola, milk, cheese and dairy products, coffee. breads, pasta sauce, farm eggs, hot dogs & beef, and cider. They make their own pies and have a deli that sells 20 sandwiches including this cool one - a "Seoul Reuben" with pastrami, provolone, and locally made kimchee, grilled with sweetened soy sauce. Holy fusion ! One of their sandwich specialties is their take on tuna salad - Chef Paul's "Wicked Tuna Salad'. They buy fresh, line caught tunas from "American Boats in American Waters". They are pan seared and prepared on site with celery, salt, red onion, pepper, olive oil, red wine vinegar, herbs and mayonnaise. Many batches are made on the same day they are caught. We bought an $8.99 container of that tuna salad, and yes it was unlike any tuna salad I can remember having. It was more like a chicken salad with small firm chunks of tuna, and none of the over-blended homogeneous spreadable consistency you see in just about every version of tuna salad you've ever had. It was quite dense and very good. We also walked through their impressive greenhouse. It was a dazzling splash of beautiful colors with reds and pinks and yellows popping all over the place. We topped off our visit with some of their cinnamon sugar donuts. Yeah... they were great.

Just love this farm ! We always make our way here when we come up to the Berkshires for our fall foliage ride . They have everything you would be looking for , pumpkins galore , apples, Indian corn , bakery items ( cider donuts ) ,fresh produce ( no pesticides), jellies and lots more ...they even have a deli and a greenhouse !! Everything is fresh and wholesome ! They have a corn maze , hay rides and pumpkin picking too ! Inside it is usually very busy , it's a small space so you are maneuvering around other people , no big deal . We ordered an onion soup and 2 sandwiches, a Cuban on marble rye and a Turkey Slaw on multigrain bread . The girl at the counter was very friendly and polite .My husband had the onion soup , loaded with onions, a bit salty but delicious. Both sandwiches were huge and overstuffed , the bread was amazing ! It was incredibly delicious and extremely filling , couldn't finish mine . Also , brought home a couple of cranberry scones from their bakery to have for breakfast, WOW so yummy and flaky, packed with cranberries !! I'm sure there are many other great farms in the area but this place seems to have it all so we will certainly keep on returning!

    Cuban

The Cuban weighs in at 12 oz minimum. The meat is thiccccccccc and while a soft demi baguette will never give the textural contrast needed for a perfect cubano, this iteration is damned delicious and filling. For $9? Ridiculous bargain. Wife loved her ultimate grilled cheese ($8) which feature big red slices of tomato and crisp bacon. Kids eviscerated their grilled cheese and ham and Swiss ($5 each). It's a farm market, so maybe the deli counter is easy to overlook? I don't know, what I'm telling you is don't overlook the deli counter. Got it? Good.

Nice little spot off the beaten path here in the Berkshiresa solid variety of local fresh fruits and vegetables, local honey, healthier retail snacks, there's a greenhouse, and flowers plants etc. in the garden center. The deli counter staff was friendly and our Turkey Ruben, although good it's took a long time to make. Local heirloom tomatoes were delicious.

Staff were rude to me and my service dog. Overpriced too. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

To save a few dollars, we typically purchase widely-available staples/packaged goods at the Big Y next door, then head over to Guido's for specialty items only. We are not particular fans of the cafe items, however, which we've tried when we wanted to eat breakfast before shopping - wrapped breakfast sandwiches in the cafe steamtable have been greasy or generally odd-tasting (I'm looking at you, weird crumbly breakfast biscuit), and the few times we've ordered milk-based hot coffee drinks, they've been burned. Moving forward, we'll skip the cafe when we shop.
