I took my truck in Monday morning as soon as they opened I drop the truck off told them the problem that I was having which was an exhaust leak on the front part of the manifold on the DD 15 and I had a phantom coolant leak I suspected coming from the EGR cooler because there was no leak under the truck in the engine compartment under the dash no signs of dried coolant that have been sprayed and blown around. There was absolutely no sign of a leak. It wasn't until Friday that they actually looked at my truck for a total of two hours charged me for six hours of diagnostic said they couldn't find the leak and try to charge me $4000 to put on the exhaust manifold when I told them no I picked up my truck a week later and brought it to the house parked it. Let it sit for two hours to cool I went out. I cranked it up to turn the wheel to get into the engine compartment and shut it off. I walked back around to the engine compartment and right there where the exhaust manifold was leaking. It was also spraying out coolant, confirming that the EGR cooler is malfunctioning improperly put in or whatever, but that was covered under warranty so not only did they not find the leak by a trained technician supposedly but they also charged me for that when it should've all been covered under warranty and kept me from running for a week because they decided to take their sweet time about it it's hard enough being an owner operator or a small fleet without having these repair shops gouges if I were you, I would not use tag Truck centers. Apparently Memphis is their corporate office so whatever you do definitely don't bring it to Memphis but if it all possible, take it to any other freightliner you could find and steer clear of tag they're just gonna rip you off take your money and not do anything that they're supposed to do. Worst experience ever. I will never spend another penny at that place. read more

Amazing service !! We were traveling in our motor home from Little Rock, Arkansas to Bardstown, Kentucky. As we left Little Rock, my husband notice his Air Bag indicator was fluctuating. Since we were passing through Memphis, I called several places to see if they would work on our problem. (A 43 ft Spartan Chassis with an air bag leak). This was Warranty work. Most said " no", but kind enough to refer me to another place. Another place could get me scheduled but it would be in 1 1/2 weeks for the mobile tech. YIKES !! Eventually, we were referred to Tag Truck Center, on American Way in South Memphis. I called, spoke to a very nice gentleman named, Taylor at Sprinter, and he said, bring it down "tomorrow morning @ 7:00 am". (Tues). By now, we were an hour outside Memphis and I asked if we could just drop it off that afternoon.... (Mon), to be checked in for the early morning appointment. Taylor said sure but said... we cannot have you sleeping on the Coach overnight. I explained, that was fine because our daughter lives in Memphis area. All was good. We got there by 2:00. Amazingly, he called us about 4:00, to let us know that his Tech did get a chance to look at it, and it was a leaking valve, he ordered the part, it would be in next day by 10:00 am. WOW....!. We picked up the Coach on Wed at 2:30 and was able to head down the road. Very happy campers!! Absolutely that BEST Service we could have EVER expected..... so, we are passing the word, if you need help with your rigs and don't know where to go..... check out Tag Truck Center on line. I purchased my first Semi from ryder the 15th of June and sadly I had to return back to Ryder. Within the last two months Tag has supposedly done the diagnostic and the repairs . On each occasion the truck was in the shop for a week each time. We carried a truck into the body shop in September it's December 9th still not ready. All we get is we got the parts to waiting on parts . if you are an owner operator and you want to be put out of business take your truck to these clowns. From September till now truck was moved once and that was November 15th. That's a company truck but it's ridiculous. We had another truck get the front end took off in a rest area carried it to MHC Kenworth and 3 weeks later it's back on the road 3 months later this one is still waiting for parts. read more

Today is May 4. After over two weeks a diagnosis finally made after jacking back and forth with TAG, Freightliner, Cummins and Winnebago. What a cluster..... Fuel filters and a damaged ambient temperature sensor that works with the turbocharger was the outcome. Maybe we will get our RV back this month. I brought my RV to TAG Truck Center about a year ago for an OLF package, coolant flush and fill, new belts, and a general maintenance check. The belt change was fine, but they didn't actually change the oil. This became evident when I changed the oil myself recently. The oil that I drained out was was thick, black and smelled burnt. Since I've driven less than 5,000 miles since having the RV serviced at TAG, its obvious that they didn't change the oil. They failed to put in the proper amount of coolant, which i noticed driving the RV home because it was running extremely hot. Their solution for this was to give me two gallons of unmixed coolant that I mixed and poured in myself. I received no refund for this. In addition to this, they broke the door to the RV. read more

So I noticed a transmission leaks, so I called about 9am asked how busy they where it was a Wednesday, response was we're not great! So I arrived a couple hours later checked in, asked can you get to it today, response yes. So I wait till morning ask how's my truck doing, response we can't get to it till next week, really smdh head. So I waited they had my truck for 8 days to fix pa transmission tower gasket a 500 dollar repair, lost thousands in revenue avoid this place at all cost. The Memphis location kept my truck 16 days to fix a clutch. Once I got the truck back, The truck was doing the exact same thing that it was doing before I took it in. I never needed a clutch they mis diagnosed the problem and charged me 3100 dollars and made me miss 16 days of work while doing so. They told me to bring it back in so I did. They then said that the clutch rod was just adjusted wrong. I get down the street and to no surprise, Its doing the same damn thing. Now they want me to bring it back in so they can find the real problem and recharge me to fix that. Please don't take your truck to this place. I found out the hard way. On November 5, 2020 I took my truck into Tag Truck Enterprises in Memphis, TN for fault codes and the transmission was not working properly. They diagnosed the truck and advised they did not find anything wrong and charged me roughly $400. I left and ended up getting my truck towed into Tag Truck Enterprise 4 days later November 9, 2020 with the same issues. During this visit, they kept the truck for 3 days with them returning it to me on November 12, 2020 with a diagnosis that the XY Shifter, electric clutch actuator, and transmission harness, etc., needed to be replaced with a net bill of close to $4200. I was extremely frustrated given I had just taken my vehicle in a few days prior, now I am paying more out given I had to tow the vehicle ($275) to Tag Truck. This was a huge inconvenience given I do not live in Memphis and had to get hotel accommodations until my vehicle was ready. Had they assessed the vehicle correctly on my first visit I would not have incurred additional cost. In addition to all of this, during my return trip home, the same issues reappeared (same fault codes and transmission issues). I then took my truck to Houston Freight Liner-Western Star on December 4, 2020. They advised that my air system needed to be maintenance, which was causing the issues with my transmission and fault codes. This totaled over $3400.00 and my truck being down for 3 days. The problem is now fixed, and I have not had any additional issues with my truck. I am writing this review because as an owner of a minority owned business I truly felt that Tag Truck took advantage of the situation and fixed things that was not tied to the fault codes and transmission issues. Where can I start.....brought truck in for two new leather seats. Not only did they not install the seats but kept the truck in the back for over 4 hours! Didn't say anything til I was getting ready to pay......no one knows what the other ones doing....had to talk to the parts manager and the service manager since I was told two different stories as to why the seats weren't installed. Apparently, this "plate" they sell to install the seat needs holes drilled into it.....they refuse to drill the holes. So why sell the plate?? I'd like to know....seriously. Well after that fiasco I highly doubt that I would return to do any business with them. Took my truck in for a coolant leak, now four days and $461.65 later I get the truck back. All they did was replace one silicone hose clamp(This clamp cost $1.65).Didnt even top off the antifreeze so the truck would stop showing low coolant. Add in the almost $200.00 in hotel stays, plus lost miles for those days. Anytime you ask a question they will never give you a straight answer. But if it makes a difference every employee I came into contact with was very friendly. I will not go back to this place for work at all. This place is horrible!!!! On every level,from customer service to management to the everyday workers. Before I brought my truck there I had ordered the parts, and knew it not gonna take longer than 2 hours to fixed.They are promised to fixed my truck ASAP, but they called me in 27 hours with kind of "estimate". They told me a price for the parts and that it takes 3 hours to fix... I sad that I had known that from yesterday, and asked when they will start to fix. The answer frustrated me even more. Maybe tomorrow because we don't have a technician today. Can you believe it? Finally they have send me 6 invoices with a different price because they couldn't count 2 parts and 3 hours of work correctly. After I have signed the last one they called me in 30 min said the truck is fixed and I have to pay an amount that was different again from the last invoice. I told them that I have the signed invoice with different price from their manager on what they said that the manager is not here tonight, I have to pay now , and can argue with manager tomorrow morning.
