The person answering their phones was not friendly and not helpful. Getting info was like pulling teeth and with some attitude. This is a considerable expense, that along with the fact I want my child to get the best instruction, make this an important decision. But I did get the info and started to purchase a package, then thought.... let me look at one of the higher rated courses. So I called the #1 rated school on yelp. The interaction was night and day. The young lady that answered the phone was friendly, informative, enthusiastic even. She answered every question without attitude and made sure I understood all schedule options and discounts. And assured me I don't need to go with the company the school has endorsed ( again I will be reaching out to the school to find out why they are listing the other company considering the poor reviews). Needless to say I can't speak to their testing and driving classes. The lack of helpful customer service during my first interaction was more than enough for me not to trust them with my child's driving education or my money. I recommend you look elsewhere.

Nathans partnered with my daughter's school and offered a drivers ed course on half days. With…read morelittle notice, Nathans told the kids and parents that there was a mandatory 2 full day course that needed to be completed. Parents moved schedules around and now - 1 day before the course was to start, Nathans has canceled the course (due to alleged "low enrollment") and stated new weekend days that would be required. Nathans never asked who was attending and at least 10 families have indicated they had every intention of attending the course. Scheduling, and communication related to that, has been a disaster. There is no way possible that a business professional is running this company.

At the end of the class, she could never pass the test and had to retake. There were not enough driving instructors to ever schedule them in person. Institutions like this are the clear argument for repealing the requirement for driving instruction before obtaining a license. That law breeds scam and fraudulence. Nathans is an outgrowth of that and a foreseeable consequence. Let me save you 32 hours + of your life.

I'll provide a little background on me. I never learned to drive in my teens. Unfortunately,…read moregrowing up, my parents were hypervigilant/overprotective and steered me away from really learning at the "assumed" age. So, I didn't get my permit until I turned 24. However, I lived in Connecticut and then Brooklyn for awhile before moving back to GA almost 10 years later. Living in cities with easily accessible public transportation (Metro North/NYC Subway) pushed learning to the backburner. So, basically, I'm an older student genuinely learning for the first time. I purchased the 10 hour package. And, I admit I'm an overly cautious driver and make rookie mistakes. Even so, I'm determined to learn to become competent and realize that means taking directions and learning from my errors. So, what do I think about Just Drive Right? Scheduling was easy. My instructor was extremely professional and never was late to a scheduled session. My instructor was experienced, knew the rules of the road to a "T" and would demonstrate any errors I made on a tablet so I can better envision how to improve. I'm not hypersensitive to strong direction. Because you WILL be corrected STRONGLY. Understandably, any mistake, even a small one, could potentially cost you your life (and the life of others). There would be days that my instructor would go over time to assist (which definitely wasn't expected). You are in very good hands and can trust that you (or your child) is sitting with an experienced driver. The costs of a package are more than reasonable. ****UPDATED REVIEW****: Just finished my last lesson with Jeanelle and JDR. Turns out it was simply a misunderstanding. If you go to JDR. We are now trying to get his ADAP certificate so he can take his driving test. After calling to get a copy of the certificate, I'm told (by someone in the office who seemed bothered by my request) that he did not participate in that part of the class. She stated that the teens are given an option to participate. This can't be true. They let a teenager choose whether or not they want to participate in this part of the program!?!. We are now stuck with tyring to figure out how to achieve this responsbility! The process is very flawed and they need to ensure that parents are aware of this option. The staff is not helpful, to the point of being dismissive!
