In that time: * The heater has failed twice (and is currently not working again) * The chlorinator has been replaced * The pool lights have been replaced twice * The silver quartz finish already looks stained and bleached Maybe some of this is poor Hayward Industries equipment, but it's hard to know because the service tech changes constantly -- about every 6 weeks -- so there's zero accountability or continuity. This is a saltwater pool, yet instead of properly diagnosing or maintaining the chlorinator system, they routinely dump gallons of liquid chlorine into the pool every week. Actual "service" often feels limited to: * Emptying the leaf basket * Lightly brushing the pool * Adding chemicals And nearly everything beyond that becomes an extra charge: * Chemicals? Extra. * Filter cleaning? Extra. * Repairs? Extra. * Someone coming out because the system they maintain stopped working? Extra. Worse, many of the techs seemed unfamiliar with how the equipment even operates, making service calls frustrating and unproductive. What really bothered me was adding up the actual cost over three years. Once you include all the side charges, repair calls, chemical add-ons, and maintenance fees, the true cost is easily several times higher than the advertised "weekly service" price. The main thing is the rock wall. The job they did started rusting in under a month. Then the attempt to water seal the concrete left an eye sore and also dripped into the pool and on the tiles. I had to fix all of that myself because the more they tried to fix things the worse it got. The pipes for the waterfall leak inside and behind the wall causing white streaks everywhere. And in terms of time to complete, it was not great. Took nearly a month and a half because they would sometimes not come for a week at a time often without communication for days on end. The overall construction of the rock wall is not good or what was advertised in the quote. It looks very amateur and the structural issues will ensure that I will have issues now and down the line. I had to intervene several times and it still missed the mark. On the good side their prices are competitive and basic plastering and tiling seems to be alright so far, but I wouldn't use or reach out to them again. Nobody should expect their pool to look like this weeks after paying for a remodel.
