There are new owners at this neighborhood Chinese spot & honestly, it's not bad at all. I could understand why some customers are upset. The previous owners food was so delish & fresh. 1 of the owners used to hand make wontons in front of you. So yeah I totally understand why ppl. Compare the new owners to the old ones. The new owner was funny & cool though.He kept saying jokes & making me laugh while I waited for my food. I ordered a small beef & broccoli. The beef was tender, the broccoli was fresh, & the sauce had a good taste to it. Just a heads up this restaurant is still take out only w/ no delivery service available. Inside looked outdated & needs some renovating. They def just kept all the previous owners decor & even still has the same menus. Overall, it was decent, satisfying, & hit the spot for a quick meal. Clean. Clean. Clean. I can find cheaper Chinese food down East main but this is hot, delicious, and a clean restaurant and I pay a lil more for the clean part. No delivery, that's ok. Not sure if they accept debit/credit. Parking is in a small lot share with a library and a metro pcs. Food: Broccoli w/ garlic sauce - good flavor, could've been a lil spicier. So i have been going there since i was 17 and getting there boneless rib tips and i see now they have new owners. I am very disappointed they didnt keep the same receipe for the sauce. When i called they said they didnt change anything and i can definately tell its different. This was the only place i got them from and now i will no longer be going there. The BEST Chinese food spot in all of Bridgeport - hands down! I live on the opposite side of town but it's definitely worth the drive. I don't even mind that they are cash only. FRESH food! Well seasoned and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! My favorite thing to order : chicken wings (cooked hard) with shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg rolls. Tai Jiang is my secret spot for amazing Chinese food that apparently everyone knows about but never discusses. I've been going here for fifteen years. Huge portions, excellent service, great menu. They've literally been making the same things since 1988 with the same great materials. The dumplings are hand made and the size of my fist, it's impossible to find something like that around here. read more

Im originally from new york but man this place has some really good food, the first thing you see when you walk in is them cleaning utilities. The chicken wings are huge and they are delicious also they have great portions, would definitely recommend if you are in bridgeport. read more

This place is the best CHINESE food around, not just in town. Have been coming here for more than 20years. No one else compares to their fried rice. The food here is great. I thought to deduct a star because they don't have delivery but I don't mind going out of my way to visit this place which appears to be a family owned restaurant because of the pleasant family that runs it. Upon visit, the husband and wife there are always courteous and they remember me and my wife, our orders are always prompt, always fresh, and the portions are certainly to my liking. NO DELIVERY:-/ I recently rediscovered this place and quickly remembered why I stopped coming here. I was just lazy. No delivery stopped me from coming here and that's it. There's no excuse because their food is good. The location isn't the best but and the parking lot is shared by multiple businesses so it can be a challenge to find a spot depending on when you go. The staff are very friendly, the service is quick and efficient, it is clean and the prices are reasonable. I just had one of my favorites tonight...Vegetable egg foo young. I love eating from this place. The owners are friendly and the food is better than most chinese restaurant. I have tried almost everything from the combo platters and their chef's special. My personal favorite were the general tso chicken and the boneless spare ribs. When I come to Tai Jiang I expect nothing less from them; they are the BEST! read more
