This is a carry-out-only spot, and it was pretty busy when we stopped by. Despite that, the staff was very pleasant. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but the food was very good and the portions were huge. The boneless ribs were a nice bonus since that's not something we usually find where we're from. The General Tso's chicken was delicious, and the chicken lo mein was solid. I don't even know where to start! First, I've noticed that the restaurant had a 4.5 rating, Witch most Chinese restaurant are not above a 4. Another awesome thing was all of the awards on the wall! They had melon mints imported from China witch I thought was cool. The lady that gave us our food and took our order was extremely nice and made me give this restaurant another star. Hole in the wall place but without the hole in the wall wow. IT's got such rave reviews, but it feels like any other cheap greasy chinese place. Price is good, but you'll be feeling the grease for a few days after you eat it. Nothing wrong, as long as you know what you are getting. You aren't getting some amazing food that's super special, you're getting what I would describe as chinese food like any other random place you would stop in a town, the price is cheap. Recently tried Dragon Garden after hearing people on social media rave and say it's the best Chinese in Milford. I started with and egg roll and ordered Hunan chicken. The egg roll was soooooo good! My Hunan chicken was a good portion, but I found it very bland and not spicy at all. My BF had his usual sweet and sour chicken with white rice. I heard no complaints about the white rice while were eating (how he judges Chinese food establishments) so that was good! We may come back at some point, but I'll order something different. Glad we found this place on Yelp while in Milford. Really good Chinese take-out! Delicious egg roll! I can't consider myself a Chinese take out expert because I hated Chinese food growing up and I still find the menus confusing beyond the basic General Tso or Orange Chicken. But, I've come to appreciate and enjoy Chinese food and this meal was terrific. I had the chicken and Chinese veggies (didn't want a dish w/ fried chicken), my son had the General Tso's. He prefers our regular Chinese place in our hometown, but I thought the meal was flavorful and good. I'd return for sure if in the area. And I loved the egg roll. So tasty! We went in for take out. Best Chinese takeout around. All of their food is good and fresh. Family is wonderful! They have the very best Wonton soup!

In short, friendly, tasty, fast and money-saving. Large size is much more filling than many of the similarly priced meals from other restaurants. If you're aiming for "genuine Chinese cuisine", this is a great place to go for fried rice, noodles, lo mein etc. Chef's specialties are great too. My go-to place since I moved to Milford many years ago! I had sampled many a places, but kept coming back to Dragon Garden. I've even gotten takeout from fancy eat-in restaurants in town, but they can't hold a candle to Dragon Garden. Mom and me went here for dinner last night. I read....that they had booths. It's actually a booth and a half. The first one looks to be used by the owners kids....to do their schoolwork / homework. That was fine. I'd like to say....if you do sit in and eat there....and it's cold out....wear heavier clothing....cause it was a bit cold. The heat was on.....cause I heard it....but it wasn't on high enough. I told the young guy at the counter that we were eating our food there. And it was a bit of a wait. I think cause they were getting bombarded with phone orders. When the food came out......it came in one big paper bag....like we were taking it home. We weren't given our soups and my steamed dumplings first. It all came out at once....which we've seen many times before. I ordered the shrimp with black bean sauce and my mom ordered the pepper steak combination. I must say...all the food was very fresh and delicious. For the money I believe I got around 6 to 8 shrimp. And they were a good size too. Moms pepper steak was chock full of beef. Our soups (chicken rice) was very savory and good. Mom got an egg roll with hers and she liked it.....I ordered a shrimp egg roll and it was also yummy. Lastly I ordered steamed dumplings....they were good but I would say use less ginger in them. I'm not a lover of ginger and I think if they used half of what they put in it.....it would be perfect. So.....all in all....the food was excellent. The restaurant needs to turn your heat up....if someone is waiting for food or eating there. Also think you should offer hot tea too.....if someone is eating there and it's cold out. Delivery wait times can be lengthy but we are more than happy to pick it up. This place is also a gluten free persons dream, SO many options, they use cornstarch and soy sauce. Cutting me off in the middle of my sentences and not allowing me to ask any questions. If the food were better, I may have dealt with the rude people on the phone but to me, the food definitely is nothing to write home about. I find it bland but my husband liked the rice which is why I tried it a second time and then this time I just hung up on the woman on the other end of the phone. I'm so in like with this place :) I ordered because of the reviews. Let me begin by saying I am not a fan of Chinese food. It makes me sleepy and I know that it also can be very unhealthy for you with the usage of MSG and lots of grease, and oils, frying etc. I try my darndest to stay away, but after trick or treating yesterday my family was hungry and all of the pizza places were closed. I had company and they wanted to eat as well. Since it was too late to cook, I used Yelp to find restaurants with good reviews near by and Dragon 3 popped up. The woman on the phone was polite and easy to understand. The food came quickly and was soooo fresh! I had roast pork with vegetables and roast pork fried rice. My kids had lo mein with fried rice. I also ordered chicken wings with steamed dumplings. Nothing was greasy, everything was flavorful and nothing needed anything extra...no soy sauce, no duck sauce....absopositively nothing! I am so darn happy. My only issues, and they are small....the menu on here is WRONG! The prices are off by $1-$2. I suffered major sticker shock when the driver told me my total. So issue #2 is the driver. My total was $33.25 and he gave me $4 change? Huh for $40. So when I asked him where the rest of the change was he pulled out 2 more dollars. So I asked him again where the rest of my change was? His response, do you have a quarter. Now I am a VERY fair tipper, #1 as a Yelper and #2 someone who believes 20% is yours until you bring yourself down. This guy was on his was to more than a $5 tip until he tried to pull a fast one....pissed me off and earned himself $2.75. Do not think holding onto my change is going to shame me into giving you a tip or make me feel like I owe you more than you deserve! In town for a quick work trip, and after a long day of travel really wanted something besides drive through or hotel's microwaved meals. The hotel gave me their menu, and although I'm always a little leery of ordering Chinese delivery as a non-local, I decided to just go for it. SO HAPPY!! Everything tasted super fresh, with colorful veggies freshly steamed and not loaded with sauce. The small sizes are actually very generous portions. The chicken is of great quality, all pieces were identifiable and all white meat.
