I was surprised by how fast and friendly the staff was. The jjajangmyeon is vegetarian and this was very similar but just slightly lighter than the Korean one. Still so delicious. The fried tofu is an absolute must order. I don't know how they got it that crispy and crunchy, but it was perfectly flavored too. The grilled tofu was also really good and flavorful. The noodles were great, and we also got the cabbage dish which was a nice balance to some of the heavier, oilier dishes. They offer tea for the table only $1 per person. Overall just a really great experience. It's a bit out of the way and not really surrounded by a lot of other things to do nearby, but worth the trip. Not all fried rice is created equal... I've driven past this place countless times and had a craving for some shrimp fried rice. I wasn't sure whether they did carryout, so I called and after they confirmed, went ahead and place my order. Before I continue, let me preface I looked at pics of dishes I'd possibly want to eat, especially the rice, so I'd know what to expect. When I decided to dine in, the wait for a table has been about 20 minutes or so depending on how busy they were that day. Service has always been amazing - nothing to complain about. My favorite items are the mapo tofu, sweet and sour fish, chili stir fried chicken, crispy oyster, stir fry mushroom and bamboo shoots, and homemade meatball soup. For fish, I recommend the steamed sea bass and sweet and sour fish over the sizzling fish with black pepper sauce. For oysters, the crispy oyster is much better than oyster omelette. We went here with a group of 6 and it gave us an opportunity to try a number of items. We picked this place since it was on the Ian top 100 of 2022. I really liked the flavors.
