Wolfie's Hot Chicken at BMO Stadium - Chicken tenders and fries

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Hooray for 100% plant-based stadium option…read more Finding vegetarian/vegan options is hard at stadiums; that's why the hubby and I were excited to see this place during our first visit to BMO stadium. We got the hot "Chicken" sandwich and fries combo, $18 as of this writing, which seemed like a fair deal, as far as stadium food goes. The fries could've been fresher, but the portion sizes were good and there was enough heat to the chicken, especially with the extra sauce they give you. I think I'll try their "chicken" tenders and pickle chips next time!

I have nothing, but good things to say. I will be honest, it is nothing like Nashville chicken. If…read moreyou been to Nashville and had Haddie's or Princess and you are expecting that, keep moving because you will be disappointed. If you want some good chicken and want a little kick? Then will hit the spot! Smax! Honestly was starving and cold! I had been there for like 5 hours because I was watching 2 soccer games. Anyway after a long day of chanting and yelling and crying and getting emotional. It was time for a tasty treat! Headed down and found this spot. I was like, nope, it wont be like Nashville. SO I got mentally prepared and I am glad! It took like 45 minutes to get food. I mean was it worth it? I guess. lol i know! I know!! This so confusing. I am actually perplexed. Like foreal! I am happy that I ate there and happy that I got to try it out, but yet, saddened. I got played!!! We ordered 1 order or the tenders and 1 sandwich. Now I am going to fool you by leaving out the word chicken, because that's what they did to me! I should've been paying more attention to the (V) next to the tenders, if you haven't guessed it yet, yup VEGAS, nope, VEGAN! Yup! So it means that its soy based. So for fake chicken flavor was there, but honestly, the chicken sandwich was fire! It was fire in its on way. I should've known not get the dam tenders! Anyway disappointed in my life choices. Cathartic experience, I ate the whole thing. Happy to be eating and sad not to be eating at the same time! How could be betrayed!! Anyway, im gonna say it! That's right. I recommend it. Sticking to it! Just make sure you get the chicken! like not for fakesies!

Ten minutes later the manger comes and says the restaurant is closing in ten minutes. Wtf? We just ordered food and I've taken two sips of my beer. Why did you let that happen if you planned on closing at 8? Guy lets us sit until 8:25 and practically walks us. A few weeks later I went back with other friends on a Tuesday around 6:30. This time the manager comes at 8:15 and tells us last call. Again, wtf? The place is decent for its location and the seating is nice, but the manager must have a second job or a green light from SC hospitality to close when he's less than 10 people or something. Really disappointing.

My daughter's chicken sandwich was decent, but my chicken wings were dry like jerky and had a an odd chemical taste. They certainly did not have the spicy flavor I ordered. Also, our sweet potato fries were served at room temperature instead of hot. If you plan on arriving early for a USC basketball game at the Galen Center, come and enjoy a beer, but make sure and eat before arriving.

I mostly came to Yelp to give a shoutout to the employees. They really worked hard and fast all weekend. They made the experience smooth and enjoyable. I really enjoyed relaxing here between ceremonies, I do wish I had tried the food, but from what I saw, everyone was satisfied and orders came out quickly. Thank you Rock and Reilly's for making this past weekend the best!!

But I digress ... 901 is relatively close to work and it's where I ended up last week, though passed it a countless number of times and never had the notion of going, until a coworker suggested it for Happy Hour. Now, I'll probably be a regular. Parking is going to be challenging. There's street parking and something that resembles a parking lot around back but I'll just say - if you know the area, have fun and good luck. Sat at the bar so service was excellent. Friendly. Attentive but not in a hovering sort of way. There's only so far to walk behind the bar so looking at the levels of drinks isn't really a stretch. There's other seating too - tables and booths. Music playing - not so loud you can't hear others in your party talking. A TV was on, but I don't recall if there was more than one - mentioning it in case you're thinking of going to watch sporting events. And food is served. See pics. It's not gourmet but definitely great as bar food. I inhaled the pepperoni fries and the tacos weren't bad as well. But I was there for drinks and I love the two for one special. And that it's every day. That's pretty much what I'll be back for as it's close to work, service was great and the vibe was cool. Not to mention, there's a few pours of whiskey I don't mind whetting my palette with.
